Fav MC album (39,075) by Wonwon from Indonesia
First and forever, it is the first album, Mariah Carey. The sound is so unique, nothing on earth feel like this album. All songs are masterpieces. Mariah at her best vocal performance ever. It is shocking for the world that this young lady has that very big voice. I can sing with Mariah all songs in this album. From "Vision of love" at the first track to "Love take times" at the end of side B of my LP. Yes, I still have the vinyl record. Second, I would like to say Emotions. Not so much type of music like the first album, but I see more Mariah in this album. Mariah made the strong line that makes her different from Whitney at the beginning of this album. And from 2000s, I feel all the album from Glitter to Merry Christmas II You, has the same quality. Mariah more enjoys herself there. Not so worried about marketing anymore, like before she did with Sony. But the songs that make me impressed were We Belong Together, Through The Rain, Standing O, and #Beautiful.

An epic album. Everything is there. Just a masterpiece. Glitter is also very good to me. Brave. Very brave.

RE: Thanks Webmaster (39,070) by nikki from usa
Beautiful was getting close to platinum status and I was waiting for it to hit last month. I didn't find any news on this until I searched for it, but I'd like to congratulate Mariah for Beautiful passing the 1 million in sales in the US on July 31. Now, she's officially platinum here and in Australia.

Mariah's guest appearance was already filmed back in January.

MC without her cast? (39,065) by nikki from usa
Is she all better now? She didn't have her cast on, are her ribs healed? I hope this means the new era will be starting next month then. Also, I think the fact that her label wasn't supporting her single is the reason why Mariah pulled the plug on her album release. Island was so preoccupied with Kanye, she didn't want her years of work to be tossed into the masses without 110% of support and promo from her team.

Favorite album (39,064) by Gerald from USA by the way of NYC
As a fan forever, I would say the debut album is always and forever a classic. But for me Daydream is that album where all the elements are perfect. But I have to also give love to MB, BF, MC, and TEOM. As for least favorite I would say CB, while yes a very personal album with great writing and some nice moments, the vocals do not hold my attention. But overall MC has one of the strongest cataloges among her fellow divas.

Favorite album (39,063) by Stacey from USA
Well, obviously my favorite album is Daydream. No suprise there, lol. It has something for everyone. Same goes with TEOM and Butterfly. As for my least favorite albums, that has to be CB and Memoirs. Both albums have such a similar sound all throughout, especially MOAIA. When an entire album is produced by the same people, it just got boring for me after a few songs. When an entire album embraces the same whisper vocals, I loose interest no matter how powerful the lyrics are. If the vocals don't match the lyrics, it bugs me. Of course on each of those two albums, there are a few songs I like. However, as a whole, I can't remember the last time I listened to them.

Mariah on Wild N Out (39,062) by Licia from USA
That little clip of her was hilarious. I wish she was on there longer. People don't always get to see how funny and how much of a goofball she is.

E=MC2 / my top 5 Mariah albums (39,061) by John from USA
I agree with others. I still get angry thinking about the E=MC2 era. All the stars were aligned for an epic era. She was fresh off her TEOM comeback, she looked fantastic (the hottest she had looked since like Daydream/Butterfly, I think), TMB was a smash hit, and then they released Bye Bye as the second single. I'm not sure if they allowed Perez Hilton to influence them, but Migrate should have been the second single. I was the perfect summer jam. And then IBLYLT. I think IBLYLT flopped because of the bad video and also because Bye Bye killed the album in general. Then, in the fall, maybe ISIL or That Chick. Ugh, such unfulfilled potential with that album. My top 5 albums:
1. Daydream
2. E=MC2
3. Mariah Carey
4. Glitter
5. Butterfly

Subtle Invitation (39,060) by Billy from Greece
Masterpiece. Just a gorgeous song in an all round way, lyrically especially. The multiple layers (akin to "Lullaby", another hugely favorite of mine) lead to an orgasmic climax. It's sort of cinematic.

NTT I agree (39,059) by Brad Catoe from United States
Subtle Invitation is one of my favorite songs of all time. Even now when I listen to it, it just transports me away. If she released a whole album of songs like that, I would die happy. Really I'll be happy either way haha. I know people have personal preferences, but don't we all love something about every album?

[...] (39,058) by Brad Catoe from United States
Ok people, so I totally forgot about this because I blocked Idol out because I think it was a disaster. Not on Mimi's part, because she was [...], but because she's way too good for that. Anyways though, she should have released her album then. Wasn't that the point? Mariah was actually likable on the show. People who normally say they "hate" Mariah were watching every week to see what she had to say. She had a huge platform to sell and let that pass. Why? What are your thoughts? I just thought of this because I was watching her AI performance. Wow. What a voice.

NTT (39,057) by Brad from USA
Hi lambs. Not sure why Mariah chose the lyrics to "Subtle Invitation" for NTT on Twitter today, but if it's a hint that songs from the forthcoming album will be of that caliber and genre then all I can say is "yes, please". I love that song and its vibe and lyrics, I think it is one of her better ones. Moreover, it effectively showcases her voice as she gets powerful in the areas where she needs to and it really makes the song. I always imagine that song being sung at an outdoor night club in the Caribbean with a live band. So, a not so subtle invitation to give us more of those songs, please, MC. Thank you.

Favourite albums (39,056) by Badr from USA
My favorite albums from the 90s are Daydream and Butterfly. I can't decide which one I like the most. From the 2000s, I must say The Emancipation Of Mimi was superior. E=MC2 and MOAIA have great songs ("Migrate", "Side Effects", "Bye Bye", "H.A.T.E.U", "Obsessed", and a few others). Unfortunately, I feel they're both weak compared to Mariah's previous work. I think her priorities changed. Rainbow showed a different side of Mariah's personality. With Memoirs, I found myself skipping songs, something unusual.

Fav album (39,055) by Tommy from Norway
It changes all the time, because I love all of them. But I have to say Daydream, E=MC2, TEOM, Butterfly and Rainbow are also top favorites. At the bottom of the list I have to say Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel. CB is also an album I don't really listen to anymore.

The Butler (39,054) by Gilbert from USA
I cracked jokes wit my mom and sister in law when we went to see the movie. I told them if it sucks we can just watch Mariah's little piece and leave. Dang. I wish Mariah was in it just a little bit longer, but that's okay. I at least got to see something different. As far as the movie goes, it was well made. Very sad that us as human beings were that angry and hateful. At the theater all you would hear is either silence or see everyone shaking their head. At least I was and it also had a few parts where there was some humor in it. Oprah is a pretty good actress.

Rainbow, Charmbracelet, and Glitter are all my least favorite. I'm not a huge fan of 2000s Mariah to say the least. Lots of ups and downs. Hopefully this will be a better decade. Still frantically waiting for the new album.

I wish Mariah would come to my country (39,052) by pharaoh_shawn from New Zealand
I saw Mariah Carey live for the first time this year in Sydney. She was awesome, better than I thought. But I still wish she would come over the ditch from Ozzy to NZ and wished that #Beautiful was released last year so she could have sung it while I was there, but she did'it even sing Triumphant, which was released last year. My fav all time Mariah song is One Sweet Day and fav album has too be E=MC2. I hope Mariah puts in a tour date for New Zealand some time soon.

Another Daydream (39,051) by Bill from the UK
I had a dream that I was playing Daydream, and was skipping through tracks. I was turning up the volume to hear the end of "Long Ago", as there was new ad lib where she sang "typically, I don't wanna fight" twice, and a rapper chimed in with "this is unchallengeable, play me backwards". I took the hint and re-wound the entire disc by holding the back skip button, and after Fantasy, it jumped to "Track 21", which was I Am Free sung in Spanish. I ran to get my phone to record it to put it on YouTube, but by the time I got back, she had reverted to English again. I went back to track 1 of the new tracks, and it was a really hip song, like a sped up Fantasy, indeed called Unchallengeable. The whole other album was called "Another Daydream". I love having these types of dreams, and wish so badly it was real.
