Stephen (38,809) by Licia from USA
I would love for MC to duet with Mary J Blige, Deborah Cox, Celine Dion, Chante Moore (whistle notes from both), Lisa Fischer (another whistler lol), Tamia, Monica, Keke Wyatt, Pink, Jazmine Sullivan, India Arie, Alicia Keys, Gladys Knight, Faith Evans, and many more. I have a long list. Lol.

Toni Braxton/female collabos (38,808) by Stephen from London, United Kingdom
The thought of a Toni Braxton collaboration leaves me salivating at the mouth. I would love it. Up until and including her Libra album, she was always on point for me. One of my favourite artists. I'd also love Mariah to duet with Chaka Khan. Another very diverse singer, who like Mariah seamlessly went from jazz, to up tempo rnb, to ballads and even incorporated hip hop into her music. Their voices would mesh very well together. I would like Mariah to do some more female collabos. Does anyone else have any other females they would like Mariah to collaborate with?

I would love for them to collaborate. That would be awesome. I need for this to happen like now. Lol.

#1s / The Beatles record / Beyonce album (38,805) by clueey23 from USA
I remember when MC performed "Obsessed" on AGT and after Nick said she was the single artist with the most #1s and MC said "There is a group who has more, and clearly we can't touch them." I think this was Mariah's way of letting the public know that she will not match or break The Beatles record because of the politics in the music industry. I forget who said it on here, but I believe you were right about radio programmers and industry heads being upset that she broke Elvis' record. And I remember when she broke The Beatles record for most weeks at #1 with "Heartbreaker" and folks were really upset about it. Also I was reading an article in Billboard and Beyonce has scrapped her whole album. And I don't see people up in arms about the pushback. I think MC should get that same if not more respect for taking her time with the album. I also feel like Mariah should give us live instrumentation on this upcoming album. Her vocals shine so much more with that type of production.

Hannah (38,804) by Stephen from London, United Kingdom
Hi Hannah, I remember when the grime scene was big, we used to love it at University. It all started in East. Kano is from my neighbourhood.

Injury (38,803) by jaker20 from US
MC's fall reminds me of when Madonna fell from a horse almost 10 years ago, which started the collapse of her marriage. I didn't know MC's injury is this serious. Happy thoughts.

Voicemail (38,802) by Licia from USA
It was nice to get an old school voice mail from Mariah. I miss those days as well. Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram sort of makes the updates suck with all the excessive whining that is posted. I don't think she had have her therapist go into all that detail. She also shouldn't have had to explain to the twitter peeps as to why the 7/23 fan thing she had planned didn't go through. She was hurting and if fans couldn't understand that then oh well. Anybody with a brain should have known she was not going to do anything on 7/23 with the injuries she has. The resung vocals sounded nice on the Beautiful remix though. I was hoping to hear another song, but it's nothing to die over. I still have my old music and Beautiful remix to enjoy until she heals up and puts out new music.

Hiya. I'm from East London too and love UK hip hop. I've been listening to Mariah forever. Just thought I'd say hello.

Get well Mariah (38,799) by Manny from U.S.
Since Mariah is going through these injuries, we should do something to make her feel better. I am not good with the technical aspect of this. I am not sure how it would work but some kind of e-"get well card" from her fans. I remember signing this back in the days. Her injuries are very serious. The nerve damage is a delicate thing. Mariah, I love you and get well soon.

Thank you Mariah (38,798) by Gilbert from USA
That was a classic, I had an interview for another job and I've been up since 12 am and it's about 9 am and stuck at work for 9 hours, but I was able to listen to her message. I just smiled while listening to her and when she said "buh-bye" I was thinking, how cute. I went back in time to when she was leaving us messages and doing that. Thanks Mariah. BTW that #Beautiful dance mix sounds bomb. I want it now.

Meriweather86 / new album (38,797) by Brad from USA
Hi lambs. Meriweather 86, nice to read the nostalgia. Yes, I too remember those days and I am 41, so ha. Don't forget the high pitched "Bye, bye" at the end of the VMs. Anyhow, yes that VM and snippet was a nice little surprise that only us lambs would access and appreciate. I also just wanted to say in terms of the upcoming album that I hope the music itself is on point. That is to say not just the lyrics and the vocals, but the actual music. When TEOM came out, the thing I recall saying to myself was that finally MC had gotten her music on point and it so suited her singing and lyrics. Not that everything has to sound like TEOM, that's not my point. Rather that the music be an equal supporting partner of the song, along with the lyrics and vocals. I think this was, in part, missing from MOAIA (the vocals were generally far too whispery on that album too). Anyhow, just something I wanted to say. Be well.

Mariah in the Hamptons (38,795) by Brad from USA
Hi lambs. So based on her VM of 7/23 I'm assuming MC is in the Hamptons recording and relaxing. This allows Nick to be in NYC with AGT and MC to be "near the ocean" with dem babies while healing and recording. I liked that little snippet of the old school remix of #Beautiful. I could use that for my exercise routines. Anywho, she will rest and heal and I think the album will be a late September, early October release. Looking forward to it. Be well to yourselves and others.

New dance mix (38,794) by Will from England
Even from the bad quality from the voice message, her vocals sound incredible. And from the sounds of it, it sounds just like a Mariah-only dance-mix version. Yeah, I was a teenie tiny bit disappointed there wasn't more for the 7/23, but I understand that she was hurting and everything.

Edward / Will (38,793) by Stephen from London, United Kingdom
Edward, I do hope you're right. I was actually listening to Daydream over the weekend. Such a good album. It's in my top 3 MC albums. In fact, the older I get the more I prefer it to TEOM. Therefore, it's probably in my top 2 albums by MC. Interestingly, the sound on Daydream is starting to make a bit of a comeback. Ariana Grande is ripping it off, in rather good fashion too. Mariah is the original, and should perhaps giver the music industry a lesson via her new album lol. I love hip hop, and am a big fan, and like when Mariah incorporates it well into her music. Triumphant for me was not a good example of that. If she does decide to put rappers on her album, then she should choose them more carefully. J Cole or Nas would be great candidates. Cole's new album is great, and I think he would work very well with Mariah on a Breakdown type remix for example. However, if Mariah isn't going to give us anything fresh with rappers, I'd rather she leave that in the past then. Will, I'm glad we can see each other's point of view. Where in the UK are you based btw? I ask out of curiosity. We've been coming on here for years and I never thought to ask lol.

The voicemail (38,792) by clueey23 from USA
The voicemail message took me all the way back to like junior high. MC is my favorite, still. I'm 26 and it's so weird that something like this kinda excited me, but it did. Thank you for the nostalgia MC. It took me back to a simpler time in life when the world and life wasn't so chaotic and people were a little less narcissistic in entertainment and in life. Before reality tv, back before and after the Mottola sabotage on her life and career, after him being her handler for so long. Took me back before and after Glitter. And I also enjoyed those vocals in the background. MC has always seemed to keep it real with her fans and that's what I think I appreciate about her as a person and celebrity. She doesn't seem fake like Beyonce or any other "diva" out there. This voicemail took me back in time when MC was kinda a mystery, the way I think a celebrity should be. Took it back to when you only really kinda heard from her in these messages. Do you all remember "I love you, appreciate you, and enjoy you"? Only Mariah kinda made my morning. Lol.

MC 7/23 voicemail (38,790) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
I'm sure most of you saw MC tweet this. Have to say I'm looking forward to hearing the vocals on the new dance remix in full quality. I'm still surprised she did MLB with cracked ribs, nerve damage, and a dislocated shoulder. Speedy recovery, Mariah.

Stephen / Triumphant / new album (38,789) by Edward from USA
Stephen, I also enjoyed Triumphant, the remixes, specifically the vintage one. The main version was a complete mess, two rappers and Mariah singing backup for them, go figure. I hope she finds her muse again. If the new album was sounding like Memoirs, I am happy for its delay. I think she shouldn't go all R&B. An album in the veins of Daydream would be perfect. I hope she is not going through what Alanis and Celine went through. When they got stable, married and happy, they kind of lost touch with the music. Toni Braxton said in a tv show that she was falling out of love with music, and that she was done recording. I didn't even think that could happen.

Will (38,787) by Stephen from London, United Kingdom
Irrespective of the context in which a Triumphant was written, that shouldn't compromise the quality of he song, nor does it mean that it should act as an excuse or justify why people should like the song. A bad song is a bad song. If it wasn't ready, then she shouldn't have put it out. Whilst some may think it was a good song, I didn't enjoy it at all. Nor did the public at large, hence why it flopped. It's good that you liked it though. It's all in the ears if the beholder I guess, and if you enjoy that song then good for you. I wish I did. It would make the £0.99p I spent on it worthwhile lol. Each to his/her own I guess.

Triumphant (38,786) by Will from England
You have to remember the context of why she recorded and wrote Triumphant. It was mainly for Nick when he had the kidney problems. She was rushing to get the song released at the time. Was it the best song she ever released? No. Was it was worst? I don't think so. I loved Triumphant along with some of the remixes, however I do think that with more time I think it could have been better and more well thought out.

7/23 (38,785) by Gilbert from USA
So I woke up, checked MC Archives, Mariah Journal, and her official site. Nada for today. I thought maybe some kind of announcement was going to be made. A thought just came up in my head that I would love another "Music Box" type of album. She sang her ass off on that album and wasn't it one of her best sellers for a period of time? Any who, you all have a great day.

23/7 (38,783) by Orkun from The Netherlands
Mariah said there would be a special treat on this day, as an substitute for not releasing the album. I secretly was hoping for a second single, but now there's no mention of any announcement. Where's the surprise?

Triumphant (38,782) by clueey23 from USA
I liked Triumphant. I just feel they should've released the Triumphant vintage to pop radio and created a video for it first and then embraced the one with Rick Ross and Meek Mill after as a remix. Also I felt besides her small verse or bridge she should've opened the song with her own verse. And I thought the video could've had a stronger storyline. It gets boring seeing people with money in videos virtually act like themselves. The whole boxing theme should've just been one aspect of the video, not the whole video. And Rick Ross' verse was so weak. Meek Mill actually shined a lot more than MC and Ross. Just saying.
