Mariah's CD (38,942) by Anonymous from
I think it's interesting that you guys can't simply wait for this woman to come out with her cd. There are so many other artist out there to listen to that have great music out there. I don't blame Mariah for taking a moment to come out with this album. I finally started listening to Beyonce's album called 4 and it's amazing. She goes back to that old school sound in her song called School In Life. It's absoultely amazing. Kelly Rowland just released an album this June and it's great. Check out the song called Down On Love, which I believe Kelly has better writing skills than Mariah with some of her songs from this album. A great vocal performance from her song called "Put your name on it". And another good written song and vocal called #1. Her single "Kisses down low might not be your speed", but It's good to me and the video is cute. I'm just saying that Mariah got some competition this year, so going back to the drawing board is wise. If any of you guys are Destiny Child fans, check out the song "You changed". All of them sing on that song and it's refreshing.

Stephen / Whenever You Call (38,941) by Stacey from USA
Ahhh, I love Whenever You Call too. That bridge has got to be one of the most emotional pieces of music E-V-E-R.

Where is the album? (38,940) by George Golden from UK
Where is the new album? It is getting really old at this point. Release the album already. I cant wait anylonger. Gaga is coming out soon, and so is Kathy Perry. Just release the album, if the album has good songs, there won't be any problem. I dont want a reoccurence of MOAIA after the daily, it failed to reach number one. "Beautiful" is the song I am must shocked at for not reaching number one. It's such a travesty, not to mention "blurred lines" is nothing compared to it. That song is just a ripoff of Marvin Gaye's "Got to give it up". The thing that killed "Beautiful" was the video to be honest. And radio djs refusing to keep on playing it. Mariah should not be looking for a number one single at his point, she should be aiming for a number one album with solid tracks.

Randy (38,939) by Stephen from London, United Kingdom
A song I am shocked never got released, let alone to number 1 was Whenever You Call. A beautiful song, with great vocals, and a stunning melody. Very heartfelt and emotional delivery from Mariah too. I don't like the version with Mr McKnight as much. Another one is Migrate, which I put down to label politics.

Outfit / Butler (38,938) by Stephen from London, United Kingdom
Mariah's outfit at The Butler premiere was fantastic. Very stylish and on point, even with a sling. She looks like she's 25. It's ridiculous. I feel Mariah may get more acting praise with this movie. Lee Daniels seems to like her as an actress. Her story recounting being spat on is incredibly sad, and shocking tbh. It's one of the most degrading things to do to a person. Mariah's had the last laugh though, becuase nobody knows who that moron is, and look at Mariah now bishes.

Licia / new arrival (38,937) by Stephen from London, United Kingdom
What can I say, we let one slip through the net? It was fun though. Those names haven't been confirmed Licia. We may have to delay the release of the names, because I am not certain as to which direction I want us to go in with our new material. I mean babies. I'm mean, I know lol.

Can't let go (38,936) by George Golden from UK
The track that kept "Can't let go" from number one was Colour Me Badd's "All for love".

Hey Randy, nice topic (38,935) by Lainsky from Philippines
For me, it's Butterfly and Breakdown, although the chart then had some changes that made these singles ineligible to chart. I have a frustrating one though and it's Shake It Off. Lol.

How about this game? Lol (38,934) by enwar00 from usa
Which Mariah single would you not have wanted as a single? I'm gonna go with Never Too Far. So not a fan. There's a different song on Glitter that I love, but I'll leave it at that.

Forever and Butterfly (38,933) by enwar00 from usa
Going back to Randy's question, I think both these songs possibly could have been #1s in the US. Both were big radio hits, and Mariah was selling singles by the millions back then. Forever was during the famous Daydream era that we keep speaking of, and had it been released as a commercial single it may have reached the top. Fourth single, less sales, everybody had Daydream, I get that, so put another B-side on there, I don't know. Same thing with Butterfly, and that was only the second single from that album. And I'm not even saying they should've released these singles, just saying that they could have possibly hit the top. Personally, I like Butterfly better. I also think the video was very different. My favorite videos were off that album.

Randy, Shake it Off (38,932) by enwar00 from usa
Haha I like your game. The first single that comes to my mind is Shake it Off. Mariah seemed unstoppable around that time. The single hit big and flew up the charts and was following the record-breaking momentum of We Belong Together, so it seemed destined to hit #1. Not only was it a catchy, bouncy song but in my opinion had a fierce video that was popular as well. I understand that Golddigger went nuts on downloads and kept it at #2, but it's worth mentioning that if We Belong Together wasn't that huge a hit, Shake it Off would've hit #1. What a problem to have though really. By the way, I love love love Can't Let Go, to this day. Brilliant song both in its lyrics and delivery. As an adult the lyrics definitely have taken on meaning for me vs. when it was released. Also, no matter what was said about that video or if Mariah was embarrassed by it or whatever, I love it and think it's classy.

Meriweatherc86 / Stephen (38,931) by Stacey from USA
Just goes to show how talented Mariah is that she can put out a greatest hits album after only 10 years in the biz. I thought she missed a huge opportunity with the remix album. There are so many amazing rare remixes out there that many fans I doubt have heard that should have been included. I hope she does some sort of special release someday where she can release all her songs to her fans. She says she loves us and I don't doubt that. That kind of a release would really prove it. Stephen, congrats my friend. Science has come a long way, lol. I need new MC music like yesterday, lol.

"Can't Let Go" (38,930) by Xavier Peoples from United States
I also can't believe "Can't Let Go" never hit #1. I have always loved that song and I have also never heard of that song that kept it from hitting #1. That Robin Thicke song "Love After War" really reminds me of "Can't Let Go".

Lullaby of Birdland? (38,929) by nikki from usa
There will be some peeps with eargasms if that's true, it's about time we got some jazz. Although, wasn't that the song Mariah sang at the Carlyle? I'd rather hear her do her own cover of "Fever". That's a hot track. MC's so into sex appeal, that's the track to let that reign. Randy, I'm almost positive the track that kept MC's "Can't Let Go" from the top was Ace of Base's "Sign". "I saw the sign" or something like that. Are we ever going to get to see this music video Mariah gave her shoulder and ribs for?

Stephen / Ariana / not another Daydream (38,928) by Edward from USA
Stephen, I always wondered why you were glowing so much on your pic, but now I understand. As I had said before, sounding like another singer could backfire. Ariana Grande new single in less than three weeks is out of iTunes and Amazon top 100. If she doesn't bring her own voice to her songs, she won't have another album after "Yours Truly". The careers of those who imitated Whitney or Mariah never took off. Mariah has always wanted to work with Stevie Wonder, and there isn't a better time for this duet to come to fruition. I am glad she postponed "The Art of Letting", since she and we know by now this new album could be it. I don't want another Daydream, but she needs the balance she brought on it. I think we need a few tracks in the vein of "Almost Home" in the new album. She has overplayed the Hip Hop card by now, it has become formulaic and predictable. I definitely think that a duet with Toni Braxton would benefit both their careers.

While we're waiting for the album, let's play a game (38,927) by Randy from USA
Which Mariah single are you shocked didn't make it to #1? Give your reason. Ima have to go with Can't Let Go. The lyric, the vocal and the production is amazing. And it was so different from her first 5 #1s. Then on top of that, it was kept from #1 by Color Me Bad's All 4 Love? I don't even know that song and I was listening to pop and r&b heavy at the time.

New album (38,925) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
I don't want another Daydream or TEOM, I want something completely new. I have listened to many of her oldest ballads lately, and I really think she should sing ballads. I know ballads is very '90s, and I think that Mariah's decline in popularity is because she is known for that, and ballads aren't really that much in the music scene these days. But maybe she can bring it back. I don't think Mariah will put out any new album until her shoulder is healed. But really, I don't understand how the injury can be so serious, I have dislocated my shoulders many times, and I can really move the arm after it's been put in place again. You shouldn't though, so that's why you need the sling. Anyway, I hope for new music very soon, and where is that music video for the remix she made?

Licia and Stephen / The Butler premiere (38,924) by Will from England
Congrats to you both lol. That really made me laugh. Mariah looked great at the premiere and the press conference. She really worked that sling for all it was worth lol. Would never have thought to have the sling be turned into a sleeve and make it part of the outfit. Wouldn't it be hilarious if she came out with her own line of customised slings?

I'm sorry but... (38,923) by Licia from USA
I'm the one who got Stephen pregnant. It was an accident. He had on his glitter shorts and I couldn't resist. Lmao. I agree with both you and Stacey, I need my new music, but as you said I'd rather wait for quality music. I'll just continue to blast my old Mariah for now.

Stacey (38,922) by Stephen from London, United Kingdom
Like you, I'm pregnant. Jokes lol. Nah, like you, I'm getting impatient. I want new music like yesterday. I'm happy to wait for quality music. I just wish it wasn't so long already. Anyways, me moaning about it won't make it happen any quicker lol.

The Butler premiere / Lee Daniels (38,921) by Licia from USA
Both Mariah and Nick looked really nice at the premiere. I might be the only one, but I love them as a couple. He seems to make her happy. It helps that he's nice to look at too. Lol. I adore Lee Daniels. He seems to bring out the best in Mariah. He makes her do everything she doesn't enjoy, but she does it because she's serious about the acting. I believe he basically tells her to leave all that bullsh*t and the diva at the door and they get the work done.

B-sides and unreleased tracks / album cover (38,920) by clueey23 from USA
I need an album of all of the material that we know of that hasn't really been released. ie: "I Feel It", "Imperfect", "Skydiving". All of the tracks that were released overseas, "There For Me", "There Goes My Heart". MC has so much material that I just feel like in at least the next 5 years or so, we should get a double album of this material on her 30th anniversary in the music business. Like a thank you to the fans. Not another "greatest hits". She's still "too young for that" lol. She is such an underrated talent to me. Her "gems" have really yet to be heard. I guess I can hope and wish, right? More so than anything at the moment, I hope this pic next to the "track listing" for the new album is not really the pic for the cover. I really hope we get something like the ad mock up that surfaced a couple weeks back.

Tracklisting (38,918) by Bill from the UK
I'm a little suspicious of the track listing. I did get excited to see a collaboration with Stevie Wonder produced by Wally A, but I can't get my hopes up. Doesn't Walter still ultimately work for Sony (i.e. employed by them)? Doubt they would let him work on another label. I think the album will be MOAIA 2, and not the return to form we are hoping for. #Beautiful was good, but not great. The Dream is back on the scene. Another album of slow jams and finger snaps? I hope not.
