Well right now, as of their prediction is the song will come in at #11 with a 48% increase from last weeks chart placement. We know that an over 50% increase automatically gives the remix a new credit. So by getting it into the top 10 this week will mean it did go over 50% of an increase from last week, hence the credit. But we only really have today to Thursday morning to do it. So stream now like never before. Buy the remix single off Airana's website. Because next week we know it's going down. This week is the best chance for a Top 10.

It was the lambs who got it to rise that high. It's patently confirmed math. It had a huge drop last week, and then rose 49% this week. This is all lambs' work. That's just math. Its also confirmed that on the same day that these numbers came out, they released 3 new remixes. They just want all the numbers but they don't want her be credited. It would be hilarious if she still manage to squeak by lol. I guess we'll find out in the next few days.

Yes I agree, it's a catchy song at first which I like, but it's not strong enough to stay around longer than it has. I've enjoyed the remix too, but like you said the original was already waning. Had the remix been the original version, then I'm sure it would have been number 1 and still lasted the same amount of time on the charts as the original has done. It's not a poor performance from either Ariana or Mariah, it's just one of those fly in fly out songs.

True. Mariah and Ariana should have collaborated on a new song. After a couple of listens the song did grow on me and I heard it on repeat a lot but I asked myself why I myself or others didn't like it more:
First of all, it's not a new song. Even though Mariah adds a lot of layers to this song and her new verse, it's still 99% the same song that A) has been played out and B) people didn't love much to begin with.
I didn't find Mariah's vocals as grating or out of place as some people did. If Mariah, Ariana and Max Martin put them through - this is the style of singing they obviously wanted from her.
I don't believe this remix is tanking because of Mariah's vocals. This song was on its way out of the top 40 anyway. It will push it back to the top 15 for a week and of course the original will be credited as it has more streams/downloads I'm sure.
The opposite was true for Big Energy. It was a breakout hit and steadily climbing the charts when the remix came out and it just pushed it more. That wad good timing, this was not. It is certainly not the disaster many people think it is. It is just another building block for MC 16 which I'm sure will have the lyrics, music and vocals for all of us.

From what I am reading, Ariana stans aren't 100% on board with the song itself. If lambs had high expectations for MC, imagine their expectations for Ariana who is supposed to be a more current of an artist and had been gone for a long time. They expect Ariana to give Taylor a run for her money and this is just not it.
So that's the whirlwind of negativity that Mariah's hopping into. Not to mention the cheating and homewrecker allegations.
Lambs should just enjoy the song and not get involved in that mess lol. It's not yet taking off, but I think it's a good addition to Mariah's remix catalog.
Like I said, I think Mariah did it just to return a favor, dipped her toes, but didn't completely jump in.

That Mariah just had a collab with Ariana, and it's a remix.  A 2018 me would think that if they ever work together, it's going to be the biggest news of the year, it's going to be an event, it's going be their song together and not one or the other just hopping in, and it'll debut at no.1 based on their names alone, whatever the quality of the song. Now that moment is gone. It cannot be repeated.

It just occurred to me that it was very odd for MC to announce a Vegas resudency in the midst of recording a new album. 90s Mariah would have finished her album, released the first single and then done a residency. Something doesn't seem right after what she has talked about working on for the past 3 years. I am just saying, but what if she doesn't release MC16 this year. The business mind of MC seems to be out of alignment due to something that we are not privy to concerning her voice. Maybe I am wrong and I not really going to be patiently waiting this year.

Ugh unfortunately. In 2018 I didn't even think they'd ever collaborate. Forget #1 at this point, I was hoping for a good chart placement, but it looks like Ariana's team has abandoned ship, because they're releasing new remixes of the OG version and I haven't seen a single new post promoting the collaboration since Day 1. I feel like the excitement was definitely there when they announced, but a few things lead to it just being another missed opportunity. (1) Ariana's current reputation of a homewrecker and yes, and? being taken as a "I'm a home wrecker, yes, and?" (2) People not feeling Mariah belting. (3) There wasn't much promo after first day. (4) Mariah doesn't have much streaming pull and the song would have been dependent on Ariana's huge streaming pull, but Ariana is going through a slump. (5) People thinking this song isn't Mariah's type. (6) The song had already peaked and was free falling, so hopping on the remix didn't really make the "shock" impact of the MC-AG that their teams were hoping for. Makes me sad that it looks like all MC's new eras are staying relevant for like what on average 24 hours. I feel like a few live performances, little videos of why they collaborated or how they landed on this song to collab and all would have added to the hype, also of course a replayable MV. But I guess that's a wrap. I was reading somewhere that they messaged a radio station regarding why the station was playing the remix instead of the original, but the station said they weren't sent the remix. So honestly it's just sad that these era's are getting shorter with every release.

Correct. Everyone has been pleading with Mariah to do an uptempo song in full voice, belting with all the bells and whistles. She answered that call for everyone and look what it got her. It's the biggest flop thing she's been attached to since Triumphant. At least Triumphant got some play. Anyone who expects Mariah to do this kind of music again or remixes of any nature are in for a big shock. I don't actually expect an album at all this year after this. At least I hope not. What kind of record label is seriously going to take a chance on her. Dismal sales, no radio or streaming. It would be too much work to have a successful project. Probably not even possible at this point. Look at independent artist Usher for example. He had a Halftime performance and still only sold 81k in his first week. If YAR was a smash hit and her remix brought it back to #1, then people would take notice, but not this. This is the worst thing for MC right now. I think she should take five years away after MC30th anniversary later this year. Come back at the end of the decade with something completely unexpected. Fresh, new but true to her. She's basically only got one more in her so she might as well take all the time she needs and do it 100 percent right. A Cher Believe situation.

Makes me sad that it looks like all MC's new eras are staying relevant for like what on average 24 hours. I feel like a few live performances, little videos of why they collaborated or how they landed on this song to collab and all would have added to the hype, also of course a replayable MV. But I guess that's a wrap. I was reading somewhere that they messaged a radio station regarding why the station was playing the remix instead of the original, but the station said they weren't sent the remix. So honestly it's just sad that these era's are getting shorter with every release.

I do not follow the herd mentality. It's perfectly fine if 99 percent of people love the "Yes, And?" remix. I've always advocated for people expressing their opinions here, even if they differ from my own. I will respectfully express my views, even if they diverge from the prevailing consensus.

Ugh unfortunately. In 2018 I didn't even think they'd ever collaborate. Forget #1 at this point, I was hoping for a good chart placement, but it looks like Ariana's team has abandoned ship, because they're releasing new remixes of the OG version and I haven't seen a single new post promoting the collaboration since Day 1. I feel like the excitement was definitely there when they announced, but a few things lead to it just being another missed opportunity. (1) Ariana's current reputation of a homewrecker and yes, and? being taken as a "I'm a home wrecker, yes, and?" (2) People not feeling Mariah belting. (3) There wasn't much promo after first day. (4) Mariah doesn't have much streaming pull and the song would have been dependent on Ariana's huge streaming pull, but Ariana is going through a slump. (5) People thinking this song isn't Mariah's type. (6) The song had already peaked and was free falling, so hopping on the remix didn't really make the "shock" impact of the MC-AG that their teams were hoping for. That Mariah just had a collab with Ariana, and it's a remix. A 2018 me would think that if they ever work together, it's going to be the biggest news of the year, it's going to be an event, it's going be their song together and not one or the other just hopping in, and it'll debut at no.1 based on their names alone, whatever the quality of the song. Now that moment is gone. It cannot be repeated.
