Re: Gold editions and tour (93,637) (93,639) by Bill from the UK Haha, Right to Dream's inclusion was more to ensure at least 1 ticket sale in Randy's area. As for GTFO, sonically it is one of the best things she has ever done. Lyrically it is one of the worst. Unforgettable has the same sort of mood but with a better lyric in my opinion. Article: Mariah Carey makes "Tiger King" themed cake (93,638) by Betty from Canada It was a cake for her boyfriend Bryan Tanaka's birthday. Tiger is to him like what butterfly is to MC and she's a queen so he's her king. I don't think it has anything to do with the series. (Wednesday 15 April 2020; 12:06)

Re: Gold editions and tour (93,635) (93,637) by Andrew from the United Kingdom I appreciate your albums but you seem like like a lot of the (how can I say it?) blander album filler than I do. I also don't understand your dislike of GTFO. GTFO is a brilliant, moody, atmospheric song. I have to say, though, your world tour is the campest affair I could ever hope to see. Are you sure you didn't help design the Rainbow tour? Ah, you can't have as you would maybe have had to have seen Mariah on a previous tour in Europe and I don't believe you have ever mentioned going to one. I might actually go to see a tour such as that save for the inclusion of Right To Dream - for the mass suicide of 20,000 people is not something in which I would like to partake. Article: Mariah Carey is officially back (93,636) by Courtney from USA Uh even Glitter was certified platinum for shipping 1,000,000 copies though it sold about 3/4ths of that Charmbracelet sold 242,000 it's first week in December 2002 Emancipation Of Mimi sold 404,000 it's first week in April 2005 and E=MC2 sold 464,000 it's first week in April 2008 though in total it's sold 1.3 million while TEOM has sold 6.4 million copies nearly eligible for 7x platinum sales naturally also diminish as an artist ages as does airplay. Re: Your Girl should have been a single (93,626) (93,634) by Terna from Nigeria I have a love/hate relationship with "Shake It Off". I too thought exactly the same thing. It's a kissoff song but the vocals aren't fiery enough and seem almost inverted like where she should be singing in chest voice she coos instead and vice versa, so it didn't quite match and gave it this lazy come-up. I would also fault the vocals as the reason it stalled at number two. Well that and Kanye West. Lol. (Tuesday 14 April 2020; 21:33)

Re: Hero (93,623) (93,633) by Terna from Nigeria My mom hates the song and says it gives her a headache. Lol. Then again she dislikes "Through the Rain" and calls it the "Crying Song" Haha. Most of your favorites from TEOM are mine too. Wow "Joy Ride"? Who would've thought you likes that song? I love that song and those types of songs she always includes them on her albums ever since "Daydream" - I call them the "Mermaid Melodies". (Tuesday 14 April 2020; 21:28)

AIWFCIY signed CDs (93,632) by Brad from USA Hope folks are staying safe as possible. Just writing to say I got my 4 signed copies of AIWFCIY today in the mail. Had forgotten about them with the pandemic. A nice surprise. Be well and safe. (Tuesday 14 April 2020; 19:40)

Re: The Art of Letting Go (Golden balls edition) (93,625) (93,631) by T from USA Better, but to make it on the same level quality wise of her 90's albums I would do a lil rearranging: "The Art Of Letting Go'" 1. Faded (feat. Drake) 2. You Don't Know What To Do 3. Cry 4. Dedicated (feat. Nas) 5. Beautiful (feat. Miguel) 6. You're Mine 7. Make It Look Good 8. Camouflage 9. Meteorite 10. Triumphant Pulse Mix 11. Almost Home 12. The Art Of Letting Go (Tuesday 14 April 2020; 18:37)

Re: Maybe it's time for TEOM part II (93,621) (93,630) by T from USA Isn't E=MC2 part 2? You must be talking about the Emancipation Of Mimi Chapter 3. (Tuesday 14 April 2020; 18:32)

Re: Your Girl should have been a single (93,626) (93,629) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines I love the song, it's one of the great throwback moments of the album and one of Mariah's breeziest moments on record, but even Mariah and her management knew that wouldn't fly with the public as a single. And even if it became a hit, it would just be one of those songs that Mariah would only be able to sing 5-10% live due to its demanding shouty delivery. (Tuesday 14 April 2020; 17:44)

Re: The Art of Letting Go (Golden balls edition) (93,625) (93,628) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines Too much Triumphant for one album. Take the original one out and switch it with You're Mine or Money or even Faded and then it will make better sense. (Tuesday 14 April 2020; 17:40)

Mariah Carey's new tour announced (93,627) by Andrew from the United Kingdom Click bait, much. Ha. But with time on my hands I have planned the setlist for it to save Mariah the trouble. Mariah Carey - the gold tour 1. Vision of Love 2. It’s Like That 3. Make It Happen 4. Dreamlover 5. With You 6. Honey So So Def ft. JD & Da Brat 7. Heartbreaker Remix ft. Da Brat & Missy Elliott 8. Touch My Body 9. Get Your Number 10. The Beautiful Ones ft. Trey Lorenz 11. Fantasy 12. #Beautiful 13. Almost Home 14. My All/Stay Awhile 15. We Belong Together 16. Emotions 17. You Don’t Know What To Do 18. Obsessed 19. Always Be My Baby 20. Everything Fades Away 21. Never Too Far/ Hero (Tuesday 14 April 2020; 13:50)

Your Girl should have been a single (93,626) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia Your Girl should have been the single replacing Shake It Off. I'm never a fan of that song. Too similar to Usher's song. And Mariah's vocals was too mundane and not energetic. It's like she's singing while lying down. Unlike Your Girl where she sounds vibrant, youthful, and the vocals reminding me to Fantasy, Dreamlover and Heartbreaker. Too bad the song is too short without a bridge. (Tuesday 14 April 2020; 13:37)

The Art of Letting Go (Golden balls edition) (93,625) by Andrew from the United Kingdom In thinking about it, Almost Home and Triumphant should have been on TAOLG. Tell me this would not have been a killer album: The Art of Letting Go (Golden balls edition) 1. The Art Of Letting Go 2. You Don’t Know What To Do 3. #Beautiful 4. Almost Home 5. Make It Look Good 6. Cry. 7. Meteorite 8. Camouflage 9. Triumphant 10. Heavenly 11. Triumphant Pulse Remix (Tuesday 14 April 2020; 13:06)

Re: Hero (93,622) (93,624) by Licia from USA From the the feedback I've seen the "yelling" is why some don't like Your Girl yet they love Stay the Night which is scream fest 2005 to me. Lol. Lord knows I dislike the yell/sing she sometimes does (especially live), but it just fits on Your Girl. (Tuesday 14 April 2020; 11:52)

Re: Hero (93,622) (93,623) by Bill from the UK I've heard it get dismissed, but for me that song just oozes summer. It's so light and vibrant, like an edgier Dreamlover. It's without a doubt my second favourite after To The Floor. But it seems my tastes are in the reverse to the majority, as the singles I can sort of take or leave, but the album cuts I think are way better. Mine Again, One and Only, Fly Like a Bird, Circles, I Wish You Knew, Joyride are all divine. I even prefer the bonus tracks, except Sprung with that weird Halloween music lol. (Tuesday 14 April 2020; 11:45)

Re: Hero (93,601) (93,622) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines Wait, Your Girl is hated? I personally have not seen such reaction from fans. I know it's one of the more neglected ones, and to those who actually remember it, it could be polarizing, but even then I'd still observe that there are more people who find To The Floor and Get Your Number more polarizing than Your Girl. It's a brilliant track. She's practically yelling for two thirds of it, but it's quite cute - short and sweet. (Tuesday 14 April 2020; 07:51)

Maybe it's time for TEOM part II (93,621) by Bobby A from United States MC is really focusing on the anniversary TEOM more than any other album's anniversary. Is she preparing us for TEOM part II? I would like to see her work with Jermaine Dupri, Bryan Michael Cox, Johnta Austin, London On Da Track, Pop and Oak, Claude Kelly, Ryan Tedder, Bizness Boi, and Detail for part II. Bring on TEOM part II, Mimi. (Tuesday 14 April 2020; 07:17)

Emancipation anniversary (93,620) by Special K from USA "See, I'm looking for a man that'll rub me slow Make me sing real high when he goes down low But see, it ain't just a physical thing He's gotta treat me affectionately And I gotta know he won't betray my trust Just like every other [censored] does Is this just an impossible dream, baby? Too elusive to pursue It's been such a sad and windy road for me Just searchin' for the truth." 15 years ago that was Special K before she met her one and only. Damn, that song is pure fire. (Tuesday 14 April 2020; 03:22)

Re: Insta FLAB) (93,618) (93,619) by Licia from USA Glad you are feeling better Norm and I'm hoping the best on your results. (Tuesday 14 April 2020; 01:53)

Re: Insta FLAB) (93,608) (93,618) by Norman from USA Thank you. I'm doing a bit better today and waiting for the official results. This thing is no joke. Hope you had a good one. (Tuesday 14 April 2020; 00:07)

Re: PG-Mariah albums (Gold Editions) (93,615) (93,617) by T from USA I always thought MIAMTEC could've been an album with the greatest potential if it was shorter. I would do: 1. The Art Of Letting Go 2. You Don't Know What To Do 3. Dedicated 4. #Beautiful 5. You're Mine 6. Make It Look Good 7. Cry 8. Supernatural 9. Meteorite 10. Camouflage While I'm at it, Memoirs: 1. Betcha 2. Obsessed 3. H.A.T.E.U. 4. Candy Bling 5. Ribbon 6. Inseparable 7. It's A Wrap 8. Angels Cry 9. More Than Just Friends 10. The Impossible I always wished though that the two JD songs she did on MIAMTEC she instead did for E=MC2 (as a substitute for two other JD songs): 1. Migrate 2. Touch My Body 3. Cruise Control 4. I Stay In Love 5. Side Effects 6. I'm That Chick 7. You Don't Know What To Do 8. I'll Be Loving You Long Time 9. Make It Look Good 10. Thanks For Nothing 11. OOC 12. For The Record 13. Bye Bye 14. I Wish You Well Now That would've been a killer uptempo album to contrast TEOM. (Monday 13 April 2020; 23:07)

Re: PG-Mariah albums (Gold Editions) (93,615) (93,616) by Bill from the UK Haha, I stopped reading after seeing Boy being included lol. Just kidding. I agree, and I often edit down the albums for my playlists. I'll have a think and reply with mine in a bit, this needs some thought. (Monday 13 April 2020; 15:51)

PG-Mariah albums (Gold Editions) (93,615) by Andrew from the United Kingdom I think all PG (post-Glitter) Mariah albums suffer from being too long and, thus, too convoluted. I've always thought 10 or 11 track albums are enough to digest. For shits and giggles, I have shortened the length of PG-Mariah albums and, in the case of MIAM, renamed it and re-sequenced it. They are called Gold Edition because Gold happens to be the surname of a devilishly handsome blond British boy who has put some thought into this. Charmbracelet (Gold Edition) 1. Through The Rain 2. Boy (I Need You) 3. Yours 4. You Got Me 5. I Only Wanted 6. Clown 7. My Saving Grace 8. Bringin' On The Heartbreak 9. Sunflowers for Alfred Roy 10. Through The Rain (Remix) The Emancipation of Mimi (Gold Edition) 1. It's Like That 2. We Belong Together 3. Shake It Off 4. Mine Again 5. Say Something 6. Stay The Night 7. Get Your Number 8. To The Floor 9. Don't Forget About Us 10. Fly Like A Bird E=MC2 (Gold Edition) 1. Migrate 2. Touch My Body 3. Cruise Control 4. Stay In Love 5. Side Effects 6. I'm That Chick 7. I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time 8. O.O.C. 9. Bye Bye 10. I Wish You Well Memoirs (Gold Edition) 1. Betcha Gon Know (The Prologue) 2. Obsessed 3. H.A.T.E.U 4. Up Out My Face 5. Up Out My Face (The Reprise) 6. The Impossible 7. Angels Cry 8. Languishing (The Interlude) 9. I Want To Know What Love Is 10. Obsessed (Jump Smokers Radio Edit) The Art of Letting Go (Gold Edition) 1. The Art Of Letting Go 2. You Don't Know What To Do 3. #Beautiful 4. You're Mine (Eternal) 5. Make It Look Good 6. Cry. 7. Meteorite 8. Camouflage 9. Money ($ * / ...) 10. Heavenly (Monday 13 April 2020; 14:17)
