Re: Collaborators past and present (92,077) (92,085) by Terna from Nigeria
I want more from Skrillex and Poo Bear. "The Distance" from "Caution" is stellar.

Re: New #1s album art (92,056) (92,084) by Terna from Nigeria
No you're not the only one, I too love and can appreciate "Infinity". I believe it kinda has a deeper meaning and I call it Mariah's victory song, such a bop. Lol. It also features a full orchestra - a sound I absolutely love and is tied to this milestone in her career what a moment

19 weeks (92,083) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
Tall order, but should AIWFCIY reach #1 for at least 2 weeks every year, Mariah just might get the record back for longest-running #1 song by the end of the decade. It will be cumulative, but that's gonna make things even more impressive. It's gonna take a while, and many other songs may have a go at it, but it's possible. If Brenda Lee can hit #2 after 61 years, nothing is impossible especially for AIWFCIY. One down, 19 more to go. Lil Nas X better enjoy his record while he can, because it's likely not gonna take another 26 years to break that.

Mariah Carey and Max Martin (92,082) by T from USA
It may never happen but wouldn't it be insane if the two biggest catchy pop producers finally combined for one song? I mean, Fantasy meets Opps I Did It Again. Dreamlover meets Blank Space. AIWFCIY meets I Can't Feel My Face. The next song should come from these two super producers.

Re: All My Life (92,075) (92,081) by Bill from the UK
Glitter is such a great album, it's criminal how little recognition it gets and I really hope Mariah and Virgin can talk so that the album can be made available on the streaming platforms. So many people are missing out on Lead the Way, All My Life, If We, Don't Stop, Never Too Far. Vocally it's absolutely majestic in parts and she breathes such life into the Disco classics Didn't Mean To Turn You On and Last Night a DJ Saved My Life. The Loverboy video was great as well. So glad the album got the justice it deserved with the campaign.

Finneas and Mariah - I would just die if those two worked together.

Collaborator / producer wish list (92,079) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
I remember hearing Carly Rae Jepsen's All That almost 5 years ago and posting how great Dev Hynes' production is in it. Mariah eventually worked with him and the results were magical. Someone also posted about her working with The Stereotypes & Skrillex. I'm pretty sure someone has also posted suggestions for her to work with No ID and Timbaland and Mariah worked with them as well - all in one fantastic album. So in that spirit I'mma just throw names out there of people that most probably would never would ever associate her with let alone expect her to work with and we'll see what happens:

Daft Punk
Finneas
Max Martin
Ilya
Mattman & Robin
Jax Jones
Mark Ronson
Calvin Harris
Charlie Puth
Stuart Price
The Smeezingtons
Greg Kurstin
Diplo
Bazzi
Lauv
Shellback
Cashmere Cat
David Guetta
Bloodshy & Avant
Giorgio Moroder

And now we play the waiting game.

Re: New album (92,071) (92,078) by Bill from the UK
For the sake of good order, if Mariah were to have another number one, she won't break The Beatles' record, she'll match it.

Collaborators past and present (92,077) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
Musically I would not mind if MC decided to work [with] some of the following people again while adding some of [the] following people into the fold. She could work with Blood Orange, Timbaland, Missy Elliott, No ID, and Danja, Now [the] following people she could add to the list of collaborators: Disclosure, Sam Romans, Naughty Boy, DJ Premiere, and Salaam Remi.

2020 (92,076) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
I am Mimi, and her management team have already mapped out the different projects that she plans on dedicating her focus on in 2020. Musically if anything I doubt if she will anyone else to just write a song for she is just not that kind of artist, and that is what makes her in part who she is. All my life I fit in the time where a soundtrack was based on and Rick James fit the bill perfectly. Also contractually for the Glitter soundtrack she was only to provide six original songs. Whatever Mimi decides to musically as long as it is a cohesive, and strong body of work, as I felt Caution was I will be satisfied. But I would love her to start with a hot uptempo banger that bridges a great melody and a banging hook with a pop and R&B vibe that we know that Mimi can bring she will be alright.

"All My Life" is a career highlight, my favorite song from Glitter and should have been the first single. Happy new year.

Pandora (92,074) by We are Lambily from USA
Mariah has now surpassed 5.2 billion lifetime streams on Pandora music. Ugh someone needs to count all of her streaming numbers, her music speaks for everybody. People need to just hear it.

Joseph Kahn (92,073) by Malcolm from Asia
It's wonderful that she chose to work with Joseph Kahn with the new version of AIWFCIY. I do hope she continues to work with him in the future, #Beautiful and AIWFCIY is a testament for that.

Mariah Carey (92,072) by Malcolm from Asia
Can I just say that Mariah is really in the league of her own. I can't compare her career path with her contemporaries, I mean her recent success speaks volume for that like whatever comes her way she always managed to rise above it strongly. It always feels good to be a lamb during these moments. Have a great 2020 ahead.

Re: New album (92,068) (92,071) by We are Lambily from USA
It’s not about jumping on a bandwagon, it’s about working with artists that radio actually plays. Unfortunately they are ageist. She has done it 19 times on her own terms. We want duets with big names, we want defeated. This is a huge opportunity to snatch one more record. Our queen has enough of those, but many of them can be broken. I don’t care about charts normally but thanks to AIWFCIY now we need more #1s

All My Life (92,070) by Bobby A from United States
First, this song is so fresh in 2020. Second, I didn't realize how much Rick James and MC are flirting with each other on this song. It is hilarious. Who in 2020 can write her another song and she accept it to record this year? Maybe Ed Sherran, Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, ThankGod4Cody (Sza) or Disclosure.

Re: New album (92,068) (92,069) by Musti from UK
I think Mariah has at least 2-3 more albums left in her, regardless of where her voice is. I don't see any harm in jumping on the pop bandwagon for the next album. If AIWFCIY is any indication, she understands how a feel-good uptempo song works, better than most songwriters. She simply chooses to do midtempo. But now that she's so close to breaking the ultimate #1's record, I bet she feels highly tempted to give it one last shot. It remains to be seen whether AIWFCIY's success will turn her into Connie Francis. Not that it really matters at this stage, with 18 other #1's and a range of non-#1 hits that Connie would've killed to have. But surely collabs with current singers would only help steer her career away from that path. I truly hope an Ariana duet is in the works. But whatever she chooses to do, I'm sure it will be great. Caution was an amazing album. Definitely a step in the right direction.

Re: New album (92,063) (92,068) by anonymous from UK
As much as I love your enthusiasm and wish for her to break as many records as possible, I truly don't feel it's just enough to break a record due to jumping on a popular artist. I know Mariah has so much more in her that means that she could potentially do it on her own merits. I think that would be really glory. I don't feel AIWFCIY as a "cheap shot" as that song has number one written all over it, but it could potentially be viewed that way. As it stands, I truly feel it isn't, at all, but let's wish more for Mariah to do it again as she stands.

Of course, if she did do what you suggest and it got yo number one, for sure I'd applaud and be outrageously smug when I quote facts, but it would honestly feel shot. Just my thoughts.

Happy new year, 2020 (92,067) by anonymous from UK
Firstly just a huge happy new year to you all. 2019 (particularly the end) was phenomenal for Mariah, and as a lifetime fan, I loved and rejoice in it. I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that I feel she is family in a very particular way, that only an idol can be. She's so far yet so close to each of us, for our own personal reasons, and as such, I wanted to express my immense pride and admiration for her unparalleled success.

Moving away from that success, I wanted to address the albums Caution just over a year on. As you all might remember, I adored the album when it was released, and continued to listen to it almost daily for about six months. It's over a year now, and I just wanted to share my current thoughts. Well, firstly, I have an "album" wall, where I buy vinyls and frames and display them. Only albums that very much have been instrumental in my life get to go on that wall. I have to say, almost all of MCs albums mean the world to me (sorry, Rainbow), but the four I currently have are Merry Christmas (which will be substituted once the Christmas insignia gets put away), Butterfly, Charmbracelet and Caution. Over a year later, I not only still love the album, I love it even more. I felt that Caution was a journey, a story, from start to finish. No song felt out-of-place, no production felt over or under produced. When I first heard the album and posted here, I often said it was "coherent". Whilst I still feel that way, I now understand the reason why. The reason why was it is genuinely, for me personally, where I felt Mariah started an album with an opening chapter, and then proceeded to tell the tale and then closed it in a way that felt like the arc of the story was finished. It felt "complete". The closest I feel she ever came to it previously was Daydream, but here I feel she just nailed that, almost story book way of writing an album. There are many albums she has that I feel are incredible and work as a whole, and others I feel are also incredible, yet more as a collection of songs as opposed to an experience. Caution, for me, was an experience as a whole, and not only is it now in my top three MC albums (sorry, E=MC2), but it's one of my favourite of all time. I really don't care about commercial success (I know she does, it as after all her bread and butter), but as someone who just connects to music that speaks to me in an intangible way, this album not only speaks, but sings to me. I love it.

Happy new year, everyone.

This decade was complicated (92,065) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
This 2010's was the rockiest one yet for Mariah and us lambs. We've lived through more challenges than we used to. We had to:
- learn to defend Mariah from dem bashers in much more ways
- stomach Stella's reign of terror, the nadir of Mariah's career
- accept that Mariah had entered a new phase of her career - a certifiable seasoned veteran
- get used to seeing her frequent the charts much less
- see her lose a few records
- let go of awful career decisions and failed potential singles
- watch her make a mockery of herself in public with subpar performances, cringeworthy interviews, off-putting antics, various questionable media appearances and business ventures, and a handful of fashion misses.

However, the decade also brought us some of Mariah's sweetest victories:
- Roc & Roe
- MCIIY
- good holiday TV specials
- MIAMTEC
- Caution
- many good public live performances to balance out the bad,
- #JusticeForGlitter
- being finally recognized by Billboard as an Icon
- witnessing AIWFCIY chart higher and higher until it finally became her 19th #1
- breaking and making even more new records.

2018 was an awesome year to be a lamb. We never would have guessed that 2019 would actually top that, especially in an increasingly fickle industry. One thing's for sure: Mariah definitely knows how to end decades with a bang. She was right - you can never write off talent.

And with AIWFCIY officially making her the first solo act that has topped the Billboard charts in 4 decades, we're already off to a great start for 2020.

I'm grateful to y'all fellow lambs for both driving me crazy and keeping me sane and making this decade much more fun as a Mariah fan.

New year, new decade, new chapter, new start. Here's to another 10 years of A+mazing moments, may they be bleak or festive or anything in between.

Hopefully new music soon (92,064) by Bobby A from United States
I hope Melissa has said to MC that she has to put new music out after Vegas run. So, MC has all the month of January to record two hot uptempo songs that could be released while she records the rest of the album from March to July. MC has to be motivated to put new music out in 2020 since she had a fantastic Christmas back at number #1.

New album (92,063) by We are Lambily from USA
Let's hope Mariah is really smart about this. She is gonna deliver a great album, she has never disappointed me before. But I really want her to beat the Beatles, I pray to God she calls some major names. I really want Mariah to do a features album. Drake asked her for the sample, ask him for a feature and make a fun song. A ballad with Ariana would be explosive. Call Beyonce and write that powerful women empowerment song. A throwback 90s song with Bruno Mars. But if nothing happens and we end up with offset, I'm good.

I totally agree. I was wondering if it was new blood on her team or what, but this makes a lot of sense. Let’s hope this team sets up the next album amazingly as well.
