Awesome news from Germany. Hope you had a wonderful holiday too. I read that AIWFCIY just hit #2 again for the sixth time in the U.K., this year blocked by Ellie Goulding's cover of River. I'll give that song a listen now. Oh well, maybe next year it'll hit #1 to celebrate Mimi's 30 year anniversary.

What a year this has been for MC. Despite most media outlets calling her a legacy artist or irrelevant, look at the accolades and achievements of this last year:
- Billboard Icon Award - Ivor Novello Awards: PRS for Music Special International Award - Variety Power of Women: award for her philantropic work with the Fresh Air Fund - Guinness World Records: the best-selling and most recognizable Christmas song, most streamed song on Spotify in 24 hours, most weeks in the UK singles top 10 chart for a Christmas song - she reached the #1 spot with AIWFCIY - the record for the most #singles for a single female artist on the Billboard Hot 100 - first Christmas song to reach #1 since 1958 - MC achieved a record-extending 81st week at number-one on the Hot 100 To be continued. Hail to the queen.

I was just about to post that there was a time when one of them (Toni or Mariah) tried to get something together. I couldn't remember which one. It definitely would have been a treat to hear how they would have sounded together. I'm still for it. With the right song it could turn out good. I wouldn't want anything like When You Believe though. I'd like a Same Script, Different Cast type duet like Whitney and Deborah Cox did or even a Heartbreak Hotel type song. If it was an uptempo song I'd go for something close to The Boy Is Mine but with more grown women lyrics if that makes sense. Lol.

I remember Toni saying in an interview during her last era that Mariah reached out to her around the Rainbow era to do a duet but Toni couldn't do it because of the bankruptcy. Toni also contemplated reaching out to her to do a remix but it looks like it never came to fruition.

Mariah's next release definitely needs to be an uptempo. I wish she'd work with Bruno. She worked with his team on Caution so there's already a connection between them.

Word on the curb is.... (91,982)

Word on the curb is Mariah will once again be in the music history books once the Hot 100 chart of the week is revealed. She will once again take the #1 spot and become the first artist in history to have a number 1 single in four different decades, as well as 82 weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart the most for any artist ever. Congratulations to Mariah, as well as, all of us who have supported our queen throughout her amazing career. Here is to more greatness, and record breaking moments in 2020. Blessings to all, and all the best in the year ahead, and beyond.

15th Anniversary of The Emancipation Of Mimi (91,980)

It hard to believe that it will be 15 years since TEOM was released. In my opinion, I believe the way L.A. Reid guided MC with the recording and roll-out of TEOM was extraordinary. Her next album should have the same roll-out. I really feel she should revisit the musical elements that gave TEOM such a party album feel with candid and witty lyrics. The live instrumentation gave the album such a organic feel. I hope she records again with Scott Storch and James Poyser. I would love for Darryl "DJ" Camper and Jasmine Sullivan to write four songs with MC. Pharrell would add a special touch with his recognizable beats and melody. 2020 will be the year for new albums and Mariah should work hard to deliver TEOM Revisted.

That would be epic. But I wouldn't be surprised if BB disqualifies it from that list, solely because it's a Christmas song. But who knows. If there's one thing I'm certain of, it's that BB loves Mariah. Whenever her name comes up, they can't resist listing out her extensive achievements on all their charts. I hope I wouldn't be going to far in saying that M is one of the few artists whose achievements have given BB the credibility it has today. She's one of its biggest leaders.

Most streamed song in 24 hours. Ariana or Mariah? (91,977)
by Jason from US

Anyone here can confirm who has the most streamed song in 24 hours? Ariana or Mariah? Scooter Braun. Official numbers are now in. Ariana Grande's 7 Rings now has the Spotify all time record for most streamed song within its first 24 hours with 14,966,544 streams, 4 million more than the former record holder. History is being made. Congrats to the team and Ariana Grande. Bravo.

Sales and streaming are measured from Friday to Thursday, she released the new video on Friday 20, so she almost has a full week of streaming and sales, including the most critical days: December 24 and 25. Her new video alone, as of now, has accumulated 25 million views during that period, which is impressive. Sadly, airplay is measured from Monday to Sunday, which means she'll only benefit from 3 full good days of airplay, including those two critical days. Since the strength of "AIWFCIY" lies on streaming, there a huge possibility she might remain at #1.

Boxing Day streaming day (91,974)

It is slightly behind in the UK at #2. This is it's big chance getting her a third number one. It really is now or never, as she's thrown everything at the wall. As well as a third week in the USA. Things will fall big time tomorrow so I do think we the lambs need a streaming day on December 26th. It could make all the difference. Don't quit now. One more massive streaming effort.

Licia, this is my last post too. Wendy has come after Mariah is horrible ways, called her a crazy women, lied that Mariah doesn't write her music and disrespected Mariah in every way. I can't believe you comparing the both.
The fact that all those people disagree with you on the comments says a lot and the fact that thousands of people watched and retweeted and liked that comment says even more and it's 90% young people.
No shade but the world is getting worse and better, so many young people are doing so many great things, their [sic] are more activists today than ever before. You guys see us as dumb children while we [sic] making moves in the Congress. Hey aoc. And in the world. Hey Greta.

One last last post about Walter (I promise webmaster), they have worked together on some beautiful songs, some of my favourite songs. He may be a great producer but I don't think he holds a candle to Mariah's genius. Here is a video of Mariah and Walter talking about how their collaboration works. Mariah has always said she is a terrible piano player but she has great ears and that helps more than you know.
I just read his article and Mariah may not always tell us everything but I don't believe she is a liar. And for her to delete a human from her life like that says a lot, she even forgave and laughed with him on Twitter a few weeks ago. I hope this fuels Mariah to be 100% honest about their situation and what he did. He is not badmouthing her but he is taking way too much credit. I know Mariah will be transparent or she wouldn't do the memoir. Remember no deal is made without her saying. I believe it's gonna be explosive. And her amazing team gives me hope.

I'm not sure. Mariah and Whitney didn't get that number one, even if the song was really beautiful. I'm just wondering if she will keep the number one spot in the first week of 2020. What do you guys think?

Seriously, Hellen likes Mariah, Mariah loves Hellen. They have great chemistry and they're very playful on interviews enjoying themselves. I've never seen Mariah acting uncomfortable around Hellen, ever. Hellen is a comedian, some people need to chill. Mariah is from New York, and here people don't play, she knows how to check someone, believe me. It irritates me these over sensitive people, mostly, guys, who are always looking for the fifth leg on an effing cat when its obvious it only has four. Always looking for a conspiracy on how people are shading or doing Mariah wrong as if she were a 50-year old woman who has been locked in a castle isolated from the rest of the world since she was 5. Next they'll say Mariah has her twins through immaculate conception. It's effing ridiculus. Merry Christmas everybody.

I believe she has gotten the message. I expect a much different Mariah on her next album with more high profile collaborators. We have been wanting a Beyonce, Drake, Bruno Mars, or Ariana collaboration, but the time wasn't right until now. 2019 ended on a high note for Mimi. She has to keep the momentum going with new music that takes us back to 1995 Mariah. I am already excited for 2020.

This year has definitely made more people like Mariah, she may be the industry biggest hitmaker and the most successful female singer songwriter producer of all time. Everyone may know her but the general people ain't checking for her like they used to. It's time to collaborate with artists the public loves. I agree that Mariah should drop a uptempo.
I really hope Mariah puts her musical integrity on hold and guns down the Beatles. She is the only artist that could do that. A song with Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, Beyoncé, Drake, The Weekend, a soaring ballad with Sam smith. She needs a collaboration album that will get her #1 album and a few #1s

This is my last post on this topic, but riddle me this. If Mariah was so uncomfortable why has she been back on Ellen's show several times since this particular incident? It would seem if she was that bothered she'd never go back on Ellen like she's never been to Wendy Williams's show and I believe all they ever did was a radio interview. Mariah is notorious for staying away from things and people that make her uncomfortable or cause her pain. It seems silly to me for her to continuously go back to a show that supposedly hurt her so bad. *waits for the next excuse*
