Re: Andrew gone (87,340) (87,357) by Special K from USA
I pray Mariah never, ever, never, ever, ever, in life, ever, has an Andrew in her life. Edward there are plenty of posters up in here that aren't "Yassss Queens" who make great points without spewing vulgar negativity and attacking other fans who opinions may differ so you can chill with that mess. Throughout the years I have seen many "Andrews" come and go on this messageboard. Anyone remember Maria from the UK? Lol. Me personally, I hope he does come back. I just like reading the drama he starts. Y'all just need to learn how to check his ass. I think B does a great job doing that. Shout out to B.

Re: Christmas (87,303) (87,356) by Special K from USA
Yay, I am so happy for you Mara. Yes, I met Mariah at a meet and great during the Charmbracelet tour. I also had a very brief encounter with her during TAOM tour in Oakland thanks to a buddy. Mara, girl, let me tell you something. Mariah is drop dead beautiful. At least she was back then. That flawless skin and those big brown beautiful bambi eyes will take your breath away. Mariah was very friendly and when she made direct eye contact with me I swear my heart skipped a beat. I actually asked her to sign my Butterfly CD and she did without hesitation. Mariah asked me what my name was. I told her and she was like, "That is a beautiful name. I have never heard that name before." I almost died again. I didn't have a sad story to tell her. I wasn't crying like some other fans were. I just told her that I was a true fan and thanked her for bringing me joy through her music. Mariah grabbed my hand and thanked me. For a brief 5 seconds it was like it was just me and her in the room. She was so sweet. I couldn't have had a better experience. Girl don't stress out about what to wear. As long as your comfortable and look good you will be fine. Let us know how it goes.

Re: AIWFCIY #3 in U.S. and MC top 10 (87,339) (87,355) by Stacey from USA
Seriously we have to get it to #1 next year. It will be the songs 25th anniversary. MC is all about anniversaries, right? If the fans can get Glitter to #1 in iTunes, there has got to be justice for AIWFCIY. Exactly. Next year AIWFCIY will celebrate 25 years. With the right gimic, promotion, the song has a chance to be #1. Perfect opportunity to really get the song to the top spot. So deserves to be a #1 single.

Daydream album (87,352) by Bobby A from United States
Listening to the Daydream album right now on this NYE's night. This is a timeless classic. It still makes me smile in 2018. What a legacy MC has created since 1990. Who else has done that and still singing now in present? No one at all.

2018: the year of Mariah (87,349) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
Can we just take a hot minute to realize and appreciate how awesome 2018 was to Mariah? Which goes to say that it has also been the best year to be a lamb in quite some time. We'll always be hoping that there are bigger things on the horizon, but let's just be cautious and say that this is probably as big a comeback we could expect from Mariah post-2010. This woman is pushing 50 and yet she:

- managed to redeem herself from one of the biggest national televised flubs of all time by not shying away from the challenge of a redo and turning out a good performance

- brought back fun, interactive Mariah: cute videos for Allure and Glamour, a fun cover art reveal for Caution, doing The Mariah Experience, and an overall upgrade on her social media game that says she isn't the relic many consider her just yet

- stayed lucid, engaging, informative and has been less contrived in all of her interviews, revealing more about her creative process than she has ever had over the past decade

- booked very good high-profile gigs where she mimed considerably less, looked less awkward and actually sang more

- stepped up the visual aspect of her appearances, employing more elaborate choreography, vivid backdrops and more cohesive and sensible imagery

- acknowledged the power and loyalty of her fans who successfully helped get justice for Glitter 17 years after its original release

- pulled off a more focused album promotion and rollout strategy

- came up with her best-reviewed album ever

- once again hit new peaks and broke new records with her 24-year-old perennial hit and its parent album

- somehow achieved something we thought was not possible: make herself likeable again

- while doing all of the above, looked her best and rocked the best fashion she has worn since 2013

Knowing all of these, we could officially end the year as Mariah fans happier than we have ever had in years. May 2019 treat all of us even better.

Re: Andrew gone (87,335) (87,346) by We are Lambily from USA
You are 100% right, grinch only left because of all the great things happening. It’s one thing to give constructive criticism but another thing to be a negative person. Anyways let’s all celebrate Mariah hitting #3 and I couldn’t be more happier.

PS: If I ever saw Mariah naked on the street, I would join her.

Ha that's so funny. Mara, if you do clam up please, for the sake of this board, at least try to tell her that Migrate should have been a single.

AIWFCIY #3 (87,344) by Edward from USA
AIWFCIY is maybe Mariah's last opportunity at hitting #1 again. If its run weren't that short every year, but we still many Christmas to try. It's amazing how Mariah is still creating and breaking records almost 30 years into her career. "My Heart Will Go On" and "I Will Always Love You" will be a distant memory in the minds of those who got to listen to it, but AIWFCIY will be in people's minds for centuries to come.

AIWFCIY (87,343) by jaker20 from US
Next year should be fun when the Christmas tracking week period is longer. But she needs a unique promo to really push it all the way. Unique promo is the game right now. Not just another rendition. Some of the best and unique promos of AIWFCIY this decade: James Corden carpool karaoke; acapella with Jimmy Fallon and the Roots.

Re: Andrew gone (87,340) (87,342) by B from USA
He was negative for the sake of being negative. He didn't offer any opinions or views that were unique or original. Everyone here agreed that Mariah needed new management and new collaborators. No one here thinks everything Mariah does is the greatest thing since sliced bread. We all know that all that glitters is not gold.

Re: Andrew gone (87,335) (87,341) by enwar00 from usa
No. But I think had he bought 153 copies of it this year and given them out as Christmas gifts then it would have hit #1. What a grinch.

Re: Andrew gone (87,335) (87,340) by Edward from USA
I personally don't think so. Andrew made great points even though his delivery wasn't the best sometimes. As much as the "Tell Her" queens want to celebrate, this message-board won't ever be the same without Andrew. I think Mariah needs more honest people in her life, since the "Yasss Queen" people she had surrounded herself with didn't see anything negative about Stella. Mariah needs a few people like Andrew in her life, with a less aggressive delivery, of course. Many of the posters here would see Mariah walking naked on the street and tell her: "Queen, you look fabulous."

AIWFCIY #3 in U.S. and MC top 10 (87,339) by enwar00 from usa
A new peak here in the States. That's pretty festive. I miss Christmas already I'm not gonna lie, so I decided to watch the black and white video to listen to it. I feel like that video inspired Ariana's life. Also Merry Christmas jumped back into top 10 on the album charts for the first time since the Christmas it was released. Next year is the year it will top the charts, I wonder what Mariah and company will have up their sleeve. Aww now Wham is on, Last Christmas. I love you George Michael and I miss you.
