I'm flying to the UK to personally slap your ass with my Mariah Carey inspired ponytail. Bangs and all.

Re: Too many bubbles for my taste (85,187) (85,207) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
Well, we've all lived through 2010 up until the present, so we all know the public hasn't been interested in her for a long time. I personally have accepted the fact that she would be lucky to have any single hit the lower ranks of the Hot 100 these days. Pointless could be a good word to describe it as well, but I would rather have her and her team continue to push for a project they clearly could have given up on a month ago purely based on public response than not at all. Best scenario is that this album will be likely received like Janet's Unbreakable was. Low sales but still a #1 debut, no real hit singles but a critical success. Here's hoping the 7 remaining songs are better than those released so far. Unlikely, maybe, but I'm still excited. It's still all new material after all.

Re: World tour (85,203) (85,206) by Andrew from UK
Mariah: I have songs written that are amazing, that people across the world will love and buy in their millions. And people outside the world. You know, in dem other countries... Anyway, these songs gon blow up the charts, y'all.

Label: Mariah, we aren't about releasing successful music and making money at the moment, we just want you to look pretty in videos.

Mariah: Praise Jesus, cos I be lyin' before. Can I get my tits out?

Dearest Brandon, as might be said in the UK: you don't half write a load of old bollocks sometimes.

Dearest Todd, I totally stole your message concept but it's entertaining as [censored].

Dang, why didn't she sing like that at the AMAs?

Re: World tour (85,198) (85,204) by Brad from USA
Todd from Australia, come to the US and we will see her here in CT. It will be great (have seen her and talked to her once before at said venue). And yes, Americans do know how to identify countries and cities of the world on a globe - to others who say we don't. Many times US lambs have had to sit back as MC has toured other parts of the world and not the US. I'm sure the world tour will be expanded if there is good reaction to the US leg. Meanwhile, lets solve how to get her new music on the radio anywhere, ok? The Distance should be heard, its a cohesive production which is what people used to expect of MC. I think that is part of why fans are elated to hear it. That said, I do wish the vocals on the track were a bit more crisp. But I am not perfect either so I am not gonna quibble. I love it and it makes me wanna move, which aint always easy. Lol. Be good to one another and yourselves.

Re: World tour (85,199) (85,203) by B from USA
Doing so is a common practice in the industry and has been since 04. Over one third of albums that topped the charts last year had concert ticket bundles attached. Bundle works by including a free copy of an artist's latest album with the purchase of either a single ticket or pair to said artist's upcoming tour. This era is about rehabilitating Mariah's public image not scoring a hit single or album.

I'm driving my house nuts too with repeat plays. But they're dealing. Lol.

Re: World tour (85,198) (85,200) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Maybe she isn't announcing the Asia and Europe dates because she is already touring Asia right now and will be heading to Europe for her Christmas shows soon. So she is keeping the focus of these countries on the current tour. I'm sure she'll announce them as soon as she finished these tours or somewhere near the end.

Re: World tour (85,198) (85,199) by Webmaster Eric from the Netherlands
Could it be that's she's only touring the USA because you get a copy of Caution for free when you buy a ticket? This way she will debut higher on the Billboard album chart. Copies given away to foreign fans won't count.

World tour (85,198) by Todd from Sydney, Australia
Artist: I'm going on a world tour.
Me: Ooh, I live in the world, let me get tickets.
Artist: Psych. I mean the USA. That's what I mean by world.

Now that is hella funny. You probably lip synch better that Mariah anyways.

Re: Caution World Tour (85,191) (85,195) by Andrew from UK
I was half expecting it to be a "World Tour" given the name. The United States and two places in Ontario constitutes "the world"? As most Americans don't own passports nor can point to other countries on a map, perhaps, to them, it does.

Same. Lip sync battle, Tevin vs Marish. Who will win? Detroit show here I come.

Re: Too many bubbles for my taste (85,187) (85,193) by Dav from Ireland
Some members who shall not be named need to move on with their 90's expectations around single release. The industry is very different. There's no money in singles, and even albums. The focus is on getting a buzz for a new era and where the money is, the tour. When's the last time Beyoncé had a number 1 hit? Just sit back and enjoy the show. If you can't GTFO quietly, and a respectable way? Just bow out as a fan and leave us in peace?

? (85,192) by B from USA
If you don't like Mariah or her music why are you here? Why are you still following her if she has done nothing but disappoint you since 1997? Why? What is the point?

Caution World Tour (85,191) by Bill from the UK
So that was the big news. I was half expecting her to announce a starring role in Avatar 2 after the album cover reveal lol.

Lol. She's coming around my hood too. I think I might also go to lip sync to her lipsyncing.

Re: Too many bubbles for my taste (85,180) (85,187) by Andrew from UK
You are quite correct if you think that Mariah is a totally different person than she used to since she had a personality transplant somewhere alone the way and they forgot to put the new one in. And you are correct about the new songs: they are sub par, even boring, beyond belief. The Distance is a hot mess so now it is apparently not the "official" second single? Lol well it's actually the *third* single and still the public are not interested. This "era" is pretty much over before it started. I appreciate some lambs are trying to stay positive and praise the PR, the performances, the cartoon on the front, even rubbish like The Distance, but doesn't everything just seem a bit... well, pointless?

It's a tour and she's headed my way. I'm going and I'm going to lipsync to her lip syncing every dang song and I'm going to be happy about it.

Re: The Distance (85,166) (85,185) by Licia from USA
I probably do need a little rehab for enjoying the song too much. I think my people are going to jump me.

Memoirs announcement (85,184) by RibbonB from USA
She's been threatening to do one. Maybe dueling biographies? I wouldn't buy either, but I'm sure the excerpts would be titillating.
