This one is with Dame Dash about R Kelly and Jay Z. Jay X has had a long association with the "pedo piper". But with all I know now, I will never be able to really enjoy the music again. I will keep the cd's but I won't buy any new music or a featuring. I mean if I completely got rid of all his music I'd have to get rid of a lot of other artists music that I love because he's written for and produced for so many of them. It sucks. When I Believe I Can Fly came out with the Space Jam soundtrack, Step in the Name of Love, the man's musical genius is undeniable. So it's understandable. That said, I do applaud you that in spite of that you no longer want to support him. B: I know what it means. The problem with that is that with supporting his music/art you're putting money directly into his pocket that will allow him to continue doing what he's been doing. But the thing is: it didn't reveal a lot of new things from what I gather (haven't seen it). These things were always a public secret. Is he an anomaly? Good chance he's not. Does that mean we should let it slide and continue to celebrate him as the general public? See, I don't think so. I deleted all his music off my iPod years ago and will call other people out for supporting him. Mariah can go overboard with the eternally 12 shtick at times, but I take that as her still willing to have fun and include less mature songs in an album to keep things more interesting. Don't get me wrong - interesting is not equivalent to childish or shallow, but Mariah is a much more versatile artist who is more willing to experiment. Adele is great, but she has yet to put out an album that actually showcases her creativity. Yes, her formula still works, but she can only make another version of 21 before people start to get tired. 21 and 25 are great, but 19 still makes for a better listen overall because of the variety of music styles present in it. Mariah has done most of timeless stuff in the past. She's still capable of making that type of record today. Of course we wish she'd make more of that than the tracks that pander to the younger generation, but at least she has managed to find a healthy balance between the two types when most artists have trouble experimenting without sounding too desperate or losing their artistic identity in the process. That's why critics aren't complaining about Mariah's output anymore. (Tuesday 8 January 2019; 04:51)

You'd think most would've caught on to that when Mariah was never out of the public limelight for more than 3 days at a time. That's not a weekend kind of surgery. Mariah had begun working out over a 5 month period than was put on a specific 11 day liquid diet designed for her to melt fat and increase her metabolism in October. Mariah's nutritionist had a brief article about it, but it got swallowed up under all of Stella's "surgery" rumors. (Tuesday 8 January 2019; 04:41)

I gave him a pass about Aaliyah because like you, me and Aaliyah were about the same age so I really didn't care. I never watched the video tape so when Kells was found not guilty of the child pornography charges I just figured "oh well" and still continued to buy his music, etc. I just feel so bad that I supported this man and was seriously a true fan. I got to be honest, I am going through R Kelly withdrawals. I have almost all of his albums. Sorry but alot his songs are good memories for me. It's like I really can't listen to Chocalate Factory no more? Not even Stop Into the 90's or A Woman Scorned? How about the remix to Gotham City? What about the R double album? All those dang hits. I know I sound past pathetic about some trash bucket creep. With that said I promise you I will no longer support R Kelly. I am so sorry that it took me this damn long to realize the truth. I think the costume should be white because in my mind our spirits are white and I like the idea of the skater representing her spirit - by herself in the dark with a spotlight on her while having to not only walk but perform on ice, which is slippery. Someone get MC on the phone. Actually though, I don't think Portrait would be a good single, but I do think it should have a video. I think all her songs should. I think people's brains try to convince them it didn't really happen so that they can go on living their lives. When we are confronted with so much evidence (people's testimonies are evidence) we snap from our dream world and want to do something about it. He's using money and connections to commit his crimes and get away with them so by not supporting him with your money you're not contributing to or enabling the abuse. I don't think MC needs to make a statement but I don't think she should work with him again, no matter how talented he may be. The world is full of talented people. Also, I think the victims want us to be outraged and do something about it, otherwise they wouldn't be talking about it. Better late than never. Being a celebrity is a privilege and we (the public) choose who gets to be famous with our money. Let's choose right. (Tuesday 8 January 2019; 00:39)
