Re: Outtake vocals (81,307) (81,308) by Billy from Greece Dennis, most artists record multiple takes of a songs and then combine the best parts to create the best outcome, at least when they record their vocals separately from an orchestra or instrumental part. It is a process called "comping". Barbra Streisand also does it. Here's a description: "Comping is when several vocal takes of a song are done. Afterward, the artist or producer listens to the takes and chooses the best words, phrases or lines from each take and puts them together as a whole, composite track that sounds seamless." And every single country would have to pick a Mariah song as their national anthem. But I would nominate Belgium to get "I Dont", les Pays Bas to get "Infuhmuzz" and the United States to get "Infinity". Because the Americans doing the end high note at the Superbowl would be totes amaze. Kneel or stand, that ain't coming out good. And the Olympics would be a Mariah fest. They'll forget about it tomorrow, if indeed they actually care or agree today. What I've noticed though is that the celebs who don't jump on the bandwagons and tweet their "thoughts and prayers" (is there anything more offensive than someone having a "look at me" moment and tweeting their condolences?) are attacked mercilessly by the media and twitterati. SO I guess now the PR person just tweets a standard thing for every SJW issue that comes along, ever. The very fact that she has never discussed the Grammy situation like this before means that she's let go of the bitterness. She sounds very relaxed and confident, mature and hip. It's also obvious she's experienced in the industry, but has also moved with the times, the way she compares the current state as to how things used to be. And I love how she low-key shaded the Grammys. Lol. Mariah's back and I'm loving this Mariah. I'm quite excited about what she has in store. That album is gonna drop sooner than we think.
