It seems there is not much excitement for the TD remixes. While MC and Gamma seem to be waiting on the stars to align and a Buck Rogers in the 25th Century tv series reboot, Ciara gave a brillant performance and interview on the Today show yesterday in support of her upcoming CiCi album dropping on August 22nd. Craig David and JoJo dropped their beautiful duet yesterday in support of his Committment album dropping on August 8th. MC and Gamma have got to step up and get this MC16 ball rolling before Sabrina Carpenter drops her next single in support of her Man's Best Friend album dropping August 29th. Therefore, accounting for the extreme variations in appearance, personality and voice quality over the years and during short periods of time. - She is actually not a diva at all. But a pretty ordinary old soul at heart, just making up the diva persona to try to be interesting because at her heart she's a grounded, traditional, old school, values-driven, every day Long Island girl. - At the time, Tommy and Walter were the best darn things that she could ever imagine would (or that did) happen to her life and career. At the time. - The hurt that Nick Cannon has caused her with his 12 children and all the brief "interlude" relationships Mariah has had, hurt her far, far more than Tommy really ever did. - It would not have been such a bad life to stay at "Sing, Sing" and travel down that path. Not the life she wanted for herself, admittedly, but not a bad life in and of itself. - She has a great deal of regret for how things were left with her sister and even her mom and she knows in her heart that will never be resolved in this lifetime. An authentic sorrow she will harbor for the rest of her time. - She isn't sure what MC 16 will really be. Some are saying its great, some not so much. She's happy to have public interest in her music other than just at Christmas time and doesn't really know why that interest ever went away. When TD first dropped, I wanted 2 main remixes, one with Cardi and one with Rakim and I still want those, but in my head I pictured an all-star remix like Busta's Touch It Remix, so I'm hoping for the same with the God's Remix. Once that drops, other rappers should join and make it a Tiktok challenge. I'm not sure why her or the label thought we needed a Big Sean remix though. I'd rather have Bryson Tiller instead. The DJ Snake remix sounds like it could be a club mix and the Brazil Remix could be a spanglish mix ala #Beautiful/Hermosa Remix. Long Ago, Fly Away (Butterfly Reprise) ruined the albums they're in. 3. Fly Like A Bird should've been sung in full voice. 4. Majority of Rarities was rightfully scrapped with the exception of Slipping Away and One Night. 5. I Don't Wanna Cry and Someday were mid and weren't deserving of #1. 6. However, "Breakdown" "Underneath The Stars", "Never Too Far" "Through The Rain", "Mine Again", "Migrate", "Love Story (if made acoustic)", "It's A Wrap", "Inseparable", "A No No" all had the potential to be major hits or at least be more relevant when ever her catalogue is brought up. 7. I think #Beautiful is really boring. MIAMTEC is MC's worst album by far. Did I Do That is a great song. Through The Rain is better than Hero. Right To Dream is the best lyric Mariah has ever written. GTFO is the best song on Caution. The Wind is boring. Memoirs is the closest album to a follow up to Butterfly. Whitney held back on When You Believe because she knew MC in her 1998 voice couldn't keep up. Mariah is at fault for the Nicki Minaj beef. JLo had no idea about Firecracker and didn't deserve MC's smoke. Mariah and Eminem went on a few dates and messed around once. Mariah was embarrassed by her performance at Divas 98 and that's why she keeps hinting at Celine over singing in Aretha's presence. I think Type Dangerous is boring. I think Oh Santa is a great song because of its insane amount of energy. Mariah has potential as an actress. The performance of You and I for Stevie Wonder is boring. Mariah has had vocal problems since she left Tommy and maybe that sequestering her in the castle kept her very sensitive voice protected. Unpopular opinions (109,667) by Dove from United States 1.) Boy (I need you) has grown on me over the years. 2.) I'm not super optimistic about MC16 being a success. (But I'm pretty sure I'll personally enjoy it.) 3.) I think she should drop Hero and We Belong Together from performances like the Summertime Ball and instead do album tracks that should have been hits. 4.) I know Touch My Body is super popular but I don't really like it. My young coworker (born in '99) asked me to make her a MC playlist. A few months later she came back and reported she only liked Fantasy, Honey, and Touch my Body. 5.) I really like Did I Do That? I think it's catchy and kinda funny. (Thursday 10 July 2025; 13:54)
