Don't Explain (Billie Holiday cover) (81,250) by Lee from UK I came across these today after being caught in a YouTube loop. I didn't know Mariah performed these covers but I think this genre is absolutely perfect for her current vocals. This one is better visual quality and this one is better vocal quality and I think she remembered more of the lyrics here too. (Sunday 4 March 2018; 14:09)

Busta collaboration (81,247) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City) Their first collaboration was very good and still if you hear it right now. I doubt collaboration number two will be as strong and it will only spark comparisons. On another note Busta has not been on the tip of anyone's tongue either as of late even with the collaboration between he, Missy, and Kelly Rowland it came and went. Honestly unless things are handled properly I would rather this collaboration be put in the can. As for MC I just need for her to put the same amount of energy and focus into creating a great project as she does to her image nowadays. (Saturday 3 March 2018; 21:32)

While we can sit here and lose a dollar for a mediocre song, the label would be losing at the end for studio time, promotion and such. With popularity you can risk being mediocre, like Taylor Swift and some others, because at the end, they'll sell. In Mariah's case, the label won't invest in something that won't bring in the coins, it's business. What's left for Mariah? Well, she probably should forget she's eternally 12, give Dolly Parton her boobs back, and focus on crafting great songs showing some growth and great lyrics. I'm talking about that music we all know she's capable of crafting. Some of us seem to have forgotten that Mariah would produce quality even in ringtones or TV commercials. She definitely doesn't owe us anything, but we don't owe her anything either. With that being said, she should sell a product worthy of the money she sells it for, it's only fair. TGIFY was sung (for want of a better word) in the half octave she can sing in live. It's the one track of 18 she got through without playback or lip syncing during her residency, and it lasted a little over a minute. Since she is with Parkwood, I really hope she works with Solange, who has expressed a desire to work with her. Nice to know that Solange's husband is a good creative as well. He directed Janelle Monae's Make Me Feel video which is excellent, along with Jidenna's Classic Man video. She can dig deeper within her well or that of other creatives. However, it wouldn't be far fetched if they kept her on label but weren't worried about her putting out music. "Thank God I found you" stripped version is a fact against you absurd claims along with Mariah's intro to "Emotions", "Joy to the world" etc, more than 95% was live in that video and if [you] somehow disagree just confirms how little you know about music. And in case you didn't know, Mary Ann is a background singer so she is only doing what she is payed to do. Rumor check (81,227) by RibbonB from USA Has anyone heard the rumor that Mariah's label pays her not to sing/record new music? I have read this in various comments sections for the psst two years. Obviously people often post rumors and state them as facts, but every time I see that one I wonder where that came from. Anyway her new McMansion rental looks interesting, if that is a tree. I am really hoping she moves back to NYC. That is weird IMO, that she seems to act like NYC is not her home base. (Friday 2 March 2018; 13:58)
