Or to quote my favorite phrase from Daydream, "Cloud of Reverie". Or to describe her relationship with the Asian persuasion, "Charade".

Wow great ideas. I love the suggested titles "Masquerade", "Labyrinth" and of course "Long Island Girl".

I think Mariah will never release a title like "Ashes" or "Misery", too dark. But "The rise of the Phoenix" sounds pretty cool. How about "Soul Serenade"? 12 Tracks with great lyrics with a classy soul vibe, one jazz tune (I know some lambs don't want jazz) and some retro soul like "Meteorite" (which has this retro vibe but sounds also fresh). One can only dream. But I also agree with Licia as long as the music is good, the title is not so important. Imagine she names it "Festive Moments". Haha.

Simply "Mariah" would be cool if we didn't just come off of MIAMTEC. I could see her using that in the future, and if she does then she'll be just like Whitney who has 3 studio albums with her name in the title. Anyways, of the suggestions so far, I still stand by Mirage, and I also like Long Island Girl as these are self-referential, but not obnoxiously so. She could also go for: "Still Here" / "Memento" / "Never Gone" (reminder theme) "Hourglass Turn" (reset theme and not in any way a reference to her figure) "Pages" (autobiographical theme) "Ink to Sound" (the creative process) "Masquerade" (media theme) "Labyrinth" (her mind)

Broader demographics = larger fan base/ sales. I wonder if Mariah ever had a big straight male following even during her prime.

New album title (80,481)
by Victor from Costa Rica

Hello. Happy New Year. I would like an album that really represents the suffering she has been through all these years (since 2014): "Ashes" "Misery" "Loneliness" Also I would like to have an album that projects a possitive message, something that tell us she is ready to claim her spot as the supreme songbird: "The rise of the Fenix" or just "Fenix" "Royal Cords" or "Royalty" "Queendom" I'm pretty sure she has lots of material and hidden gems to be released this year. I just want her to release relatable songs. She needs to avoid talking about herself and her lifestyle in her songs.

You'd think only being able to name Mariah exiting her apartment and going out to dinner with her pet would've lead to the answer of yes. It would be amazing that the paps would be stalking her every move and word spreading yet we never get pictures from other moments. She and Nick just took the kids to the museum and yet we didn't get any pap pics of that. In fact, we never do. We never see Mariah going about her regular life on a daily basis.

New album / ep mixtape (80,478)
by lil star from untied states
| |
|
|
I think Mariah should release a quick ep or mixtape 1) to get her voice out there again for fans and new listeners and 2) to get rid of all the tracks she's been working on and holding on to. She needs to start fresh (we all know Mariah gets into a sound and vibe for each album and is super cohesive, to a fault sometimes) so letting those tracks go will free her to start over creatively.

I don't care what she names it. I just want good music. For me a good title for the album won't matter if the music sucks.

I'd disagree about the charmbracelet thing. I'm sure I've seen her wear one in concert in the last couple of years. Whether or not it's the same one or not, I don't know.

Question mark? (80,474)
by Gilles from Malta
| |
|
|
Are we allowed to ask for an artist to make what we do expect from him or her? I can't really picture it because it wouldn't be an artist anymore. We all want the best for MC but I do not know If we are counscious about what we are requesting. Anyway hope she doesn't get too much influence from us and just make what she wants to create. Have a nice weekend.

The album should be called "Mariah" and be entirely self-composed and self-produced, with only her vocals. The whole thing, only her. No co-writers, no collabs, no co-producers, no backing singers.

New album title (80,470)
by Andrew from UK
| |

Mariah really should stop making self-referential album titles as it is really overplayed (Butterfly, Mimi, Imperfect Angel, The Elusive Chanteuse) or even trying to force through a story for it where none exists (I don't believe anybody used to call her Mimi on a regular basis, I absolutely would steak money on The Elusive Chanteuse being a something somebody maybe once said to her in passing - in a dream -, and, frankly, nobody saw her with a charmbracelet before or after that album's promotion). And obnoxious is definitely the right word for Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel and Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse. What serious non-obsessed straight man is ever going to buy anything that's called anything like that? The Art of Letting Go sounded like a cool concept and was free of self-adulation or blue cheese. She should try down that route again. "The Balance of All Things"/"The Darkness and The Light" and so on.

Mariah always says "Why do people say I've had a comeback, I didn't go anywhere" (I'm paraphrasing). So I don't think she'd do "Back" or "Return" type theme in her title. I love the idea of going back to her roots tho. My fave suggestions so far are: Long Island Girl Mirage Or What about: Stand. Art, Power, Love. Fact & Fiction. I like the idea of there being a period in the title ah-la Jojo "Mad Love.". It transforms the title into at statement, using subtle punctuation.

I like the suggested titles "The Return", "Mariah" and "Mirage". And I agree that a short title sounds much better. My suggestions would be "The Basics" and "Freedom".

Accidental blasphemy (80,467)

I didn't realize that Christina Aguilera had an album called "The Lotus". I only know like 5 of her songs max so I haven't kept up. I just committed blasphemy and didn't even know it. Regardless, I still love the meaning but now I know for a fact that it will never happen lol.

She comes and goes all the time, not just the times we see her on the Daily Mail. We generally see what they want us to see even the minimal sharing that she does lately. The majority of time she doesn't want to be seen and takes steps to make sure she isn't. So it stands to reason that when she does want to be seen she takes steps to make that happen and goes to those hot spots and or calls the paps. Or maybe her creative director is making those particular calls post Stellar.

If we don't have photos or documents as proof of Stella and Mariah reunited, can you all please not play with my blood pressure and happiness? Mariah is capable of crazy antics as well. Every time something "less than smart" happens in her life doesn't mean that Stella is lurking around in the shadows.

Wouldn't "Long Island Girl" be a good album title as in going back to basics? "Forget about the image, big hair, short skirts... Whatever. I own this to the fans and I will never forget it." It's time for Mariah to show us and the world why exactly we all fell in love with her as an artist and as a human being. This woman has meant a great deal to me over the last two decades. And some of her more personal songs still resonate with me on a daily basis. I do understand she wants to move on and not necessarily look back on what without a doubt has been a tumultuous life but that lifestory is what made her in the first place. I love her diva attitude because it is very much tongue in cheeck but the general public takes her for a goof. She is capable of so, so much more.
