Madonna's Erotica turns 25 (78,955) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines We interrupt this program to recognize yet another great album reaching a milestone this week. Happy 25th birthday to Madonna's Erotica, arguably the first mainstream pop album to entirely focus on sex from the female perspective. Released months before the more commercial yet similarly themed janet., Madonna powered through one of the worst critical public responses ever and came out with 2 top 10 hits. The title track, Deeper and Deeper, Rain and Bad Girl are classics. And the rest of the album tracks are killer as well. This is the most important album of her career, and she has never been as daring as she was on Erotica. This makes all the sex-themed albums from current artists seem like child's play. Wanna make an album about sex? This is how you do it - classy, frank and with a naughty, knowing wink. However, when Mariah is walking down the stairs you can clearly see a woman in the mirror standing at the bottom of them, very Stella-like, who quickly moves out of the way. That woman surely moves back in behind the camera to ask the questions at the end as Mariah shoots a look left when the question is asked, and she clearly gains some focus. Possibly Stella. She seemed excited for the video but I think she realized once she started she had nothing entertaining really going on and for her to do so she walked around kinda like "oh fml this is live and I am boring as f". Yes I've been very unhappy with the way she has been acting for the past few years but this video was far from bizarre. She actually looked content with where she is in her life. She even skipped the chaise lounge entirely. She lays down, she gets criticised. She moves around, she gets criticised. Let the [censored] go people. Whatever she has been going through, she is clearly trying to move on. If you are too stupid to understand that, perhaps listen to the new song and try to hear it in the way she's delivering the song. This video should never have been allowed to be uploaded to social media, and those that allowed her to do so should be sacked. Something isn't right she's lost a lot of weight in the last month and now acting erratically. People close to her should be taking care of her and making sure she's taking care of herself. Taking the video down afterwards is no help as it's already out there. I do worry about her metal state as she tends to rant a lot like she's in her own world. Either she's not getting the right medical attention or she's not complying with her medication. I pray this is just a blip and she gets back on track. The charts (78,947) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City) For many fans everything is about the charts as anything that has charted in recent years is chart worthy. Have you guys checked Billboard lately? Trust me when I say a lot of it is just pure crap. The Star song is not radio friendly so I do not see this song being a huge success this was more about making a story for the season that reflects on both Christmas and Christianity who better to write a song that can represent both so effortlessly other than Mariah. I am for certain the new material will have something for everyone and there still will be complaints so at this point I It is best that Mariah just takes her time and release the new album material when she is good and ready because at this point not many have faith in her anymore anyway. Where is Cruelaa Deville? (78,944) by Edward from USA I think Contourella, ella, ella, has been carefully and gradually let go. She signed a confidentiality agreement, so she won't be trashing Mariah or anything like that. Mariah's also the only client she has had, so she's most likely fading herself away in a way that people wouldn't talk much about it. It's weird neither she nor her family are anywhere to be seen when they had been so involved in Mariah's life so profusely for quite some time now. That's one theory. Another theory could be that she got tired of being blamed for everything by the media and her fans, at some point she was going to get burned like he rest of them who became her friend-manager. As much as an Alpha-female as she is, shit gets to people. While Mariah's looking pretty, she's taking all the blame and heat for anything that goes wrong, and I as much as I can't stand her, we all know she's just a part of the equation. The Star (78,940) by Edward from USA The Star is definitely not going to blow up the charts but it goes well with the theme of the Movie. I like the fact that she's in a good place vocally since her voice doesn't sound over processed with filters. She sounds flat throughout the song as if she was trying to be too safe though. I don't see The Star fitting well in any of her two Christmas albums or her Christmas concerts. My only concern is that The Star is just not an album cut, it's supposed to be a single, and a single is supposed to be good enough to be played on the radio and promoted. It is clearly not single material. I'm not disappointed though because I have lowered my expectations so much, I was kind of expecting this. I wouldn't compare "One Child" or "Jesus Born On This Day" to this song at all. I don't think there's any soul in it. Now you can crucify me. I'm holding the nails, you just have to get the cross. Her brother, who betrayed her by airing her business on a tabloid, seemed to have been accurate by stating Mariah was bipolar. I don't think that's something we should make fun of. This is worse than her bizarre appearance at MTV TRL. She's definitely looking better, but if this is going to be the result of her not taking her meds and getting to moments like this, I rather she stays thick but at least stable. It breaks my heart seeing her like this. It makes me mad that the person who filmed the video didn't have the guts to tell her that she looked Looney Toons in this video hence it shouldn't have been uploaded for everybody to see. It reminds me of when Cyndi Burger snatched that microphone off her hands when she was ranting before her breakdown. It seems to be people around her don't give two f*ks about her well-being, it's ridiculous. Mariah looks beautiful in the video, she should stop that effing nonsense about her good side. Worried (78,934) by Liz Archer from Sweden I'm going to be honest. I'm worried about her due to her continuing strange behaviour. For a very long time now I get the impression that Mariah lives in a very isolated world that doesn't seem to be helping her mentality. She seems so detached from reality. It just can't be good for her. Idk, how she spends her days and who she hangs out with but hits person to feel good about their lives you need something thing to do. Something that makes you happy. Correcting my first comment aboutt the Star (78,933) by Gilles from Malta Ok I just have to give an advise regarding my first listening, do not make like I did, I mean by using crappy headset it will spoil the whole song. So regarding the song it is a nice song, I have just some difficulties with the children choir "follow your heart it is Christmas" but once again it will perfectly fit with the animated movie made for children and the family. Don't you think there is something in the music that reminds the 90's and the 2000's, like "The greatest of love mix" with "Where are you Christmas"? Enjoy your weekend guys.
