Stella is the zombie dragon, Edward. You made me laugh and thank you for providing the reason for us to watch the season 8. Can't wait on what "Stella" can do to destroy King's Landing. Cersei, Stella is coming.

Thanks Jade, Deedre, and Mara. My family is fine right now. I'm still stuck at work, but safe. It's still raining a lot and flooding badly. Hopefully this blows over soon.

Re: One Sweet Day tied (78,171) (78,175) by B from USA
Taylor's video is only two million shy of beating the all time record for most views in the first twenty four hours plus all of the controversy has created buzz and strong sales. Mariah will still hold the record.

Re: One Sweet Day tied (78,171) (78,174) by Edward from USA
They might be sharing the record with Mariah and Boyz II Men, but they didn't set it. It's an accomplishment I feel proud of as a Latino, but tying a record is not the same as breaking it. They might still break it, but Taylor is definitely coming strong, so I doubt it they'll break it. If they do though, it's still a huge accomplishment for Mariah and Boyz II Men to have kept that record for nearly 25 years.

Re: G.O.T (78,172) (78,173) by Edward from USA
A huge fan of Game of Thrones here too, but as big as the show always is, and with the huge amount of work that goes into producing it, I don't think they would deal with huge egos, actors showing up late and other shenanigans. One thing though, Stella would've killed the role of the "Dead Dragon". Her contouring would have saved them thousands of dollars in make up to make her look like on of them. She would've only needed a pair of wings, a tail and that's it. She has the claws, the hideous leather jackets and the face of a dragon.

G.O.T (78,172) by Anonymous from
Sorry guys, it's not majorly Mariah related but I do love "Game Of Thrones". When Mariah acted in that cheesy advert for Clash Of The Titans I cringed but laughed also in all honestly. It would have been wonderful if she played a part in an ultimate series. Mariah would have made a badass character, even if small, cringe or entertaining, I still would have loved it.

One Sweet Day tied (78,171) by Jono from USA
Mariah and Boyz II Men are now joined by three other artists in sharing the Hot 100 Record. Can't believe I'm saying this, but I am thankful Taylor Swift released her music when she did, because her early numbers all but guarantee Mariah/Boyz II Men can still co-share the record.

Thank you Deedre, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I enjoy and appreciate your own positivity that you bring to this board. To quote the great MC, we're all just living in the moment of being positive, and there's like people called haters, and we give them positivity.

Amazon (78,167) by B from USA
I purchased both versions of the Unforgettable remix on Amazon and for some reason I can't access them. Ugh. Has anyone else ever had this issue when buying songs from Amazon? I called and they said they'd look into it and e-mail me.

Featured in So So Def Remix of Say Somethin' (78,166) by Ben from Sweden
I'm featured 6 times in Say Somethin' (So So Def) which is up on Spotify. It's 4:13 minutes long and I want a message from Mariah one day. I just want to hear from her again. PS. I didn't know it was "Mariah" I chatted with.

Re: Forgotten gem: Vanishing (78,162) (78,165) by MusicfanJ from Germany
"Vanishing" is so great. The lyrics touch my heart every time. I find it so impressive too, that such a young woman was able to write a song like this. How I wish Mariah would write a song like this again. At the age of only twenty (or even 18) she created music with such class and quality. Unbelievable. It was a wonderful time where the music had substance. Now 99 % is about superficial, boring topics if you listen to the "youngsters" on the radio/charts. The heart and real emotions are often missing. I will always love Mariah for her debut. And of course for a genius "Vanishing".

Sucky time for Houston, Tx (78,163) by Licia from USA
It was nice for team Mariah to acknowledge what's going on in Houston. I was not expecting her or her team to say anything nor was I thinking she was obligated in any way to acknowledge what is happening. The hardest part of this whole situation for me is that I'm stuck at work for I don't know how long and I'm only in touch with my family and friends through Facebook and texts.

Forgotten gem: Vanishing (78,162) by Bill from the UK
Following on from The One, I was listening to Vanishing (I do most days of my life), and I am astounded at how a girl of 18 (maybe younger) wrote such a moving, timeless, beautiful song. Other than Vision of Love, it is the true highlight of the debut album, and in amongst all the over production and dated synth of the other tracks, it stands out as simply being Mariah's incredible voice and a piano. And those live versions where she transitions into her upper register at the end... wow.

Jennifer Lopez vs. Mariah Carey (E. News) (78,160) by Malcolm from Asia
I couldn't agree more, especially with that guy. It's really the pressure to catch up with the others why Mariah does what she does in recent years, but the reality is, she really can't. JLo can, because that's her strength and she knows it unlike Mariah. If she wants to do something, do it well, but if she can't, just don't do it because the result is confusion to people. She's a singer-songwriter, so stick to that and strengthen it but if she wants to do other things, just be sure she can pull it off. And I hope someone tells her what social media can do to her image because she's so hated online and it's her fault. I just hope she will return to her core soon.

IDJ should have chosen You Got Me produced by Just Blaze featuring Jay-Z and Freeway instead of Boy (I Need You).

She was filming a video for The One when IDJ decided to release Boy as the second single instead. The first time the wrong song was chosen as the second single from a Mariah album.

Re: Concerts (78,131) - Chicago (78,156) by enwar00 from usa
I went to the Chicago show last night with some friends and my sister and we all loved it and wished MC was doing a full show. Nothing against Lionel at all because we stayed through his set and he's great in his own right, but simply because Mariah left us wanting more. Honestly she sounded better than I expected, and as other have mentioned on this board, YouTube concert videos don't do her complete justice. The live experience is something else and you can connect and it plays on your senses. Did I expect to drop a tear during Hero as a grown ass man, no, but it moved me and it happened. At least I kept it together during We Belong Together, a song I can feel and relate to every single word and in hindsight I get why it was the song of the decade. I was hoping for the Love Hangover medley but Da Brat showed up to do her rap on the Heartbreaker remix so that was a cute moment, especially as she took a tumble while walking behind the background singers which made it more memorable. I suppose Mariah could try and go for more and really loosen up and perhaps she'll work her way to that point again. Hopefully. All in all despite some lipped parts and despite her barely moving I'm still glad I went and can't wait for the next tour.

Re: Boy (I Need You) (78,139) (78,155) by enwar00 from usa
Oh yes, I love Memoirs as well. Very cohesive album and in my opinion it was somewhat of a different sound for her. Sometimes you just randomly want to hear Candy Bling and there's no alternative.

Mariah/Lionel in Chicago (78,154) by Chicago Lamb from USA
Mariah sounded great. If there was any backing track, she blended well. I got the feeling she downplayed her set, as not to out-shine her host? And as far as a duet, I have to take back what I previously thought as a "missed opportunity". Endless Love likely wouldn't work because MC's voice is bigger and stronger than Lionel's. I'm sure they have a good reason for not doing it.
