In all honesty, really none of us are the same people we were 20 years ago, and will be different in another 20 years from now. Mariah's not the same but as they say, "true love never dies".

Are you serious when you say "Mariah is still the Mariah we fell in love with"? I fell in love with Mariah when she released Without You in 1994. Since then, her appearance, attitude, voice and songs have dramatically changed. So no, Mariah now is nothing like the Mariah I fell in love with in 1994.

Recently I've been listening to Butterfly (Classic Bossa Nova) on repeat. It's so nice. Though I've changed the tempo, closer to the original.

I know [what] I said before, but Despacito shouldn't be the song that breaks the OSD record. A regular song ok, but not a summer hit. And it's nothing more. It will only be a one hit wonder. That Despacito is so long at number one shows how boring the charts are today. I would have preferred "Mambo No. 5" back then. Lol.

Re: What happened to Mariah's voice? (78,045) (78,053)

Mariah will never sound like the studio because of her stage fright? This is a complete nonsense. Mariah sounded exactly like the studio in her twenties and used to really go for it on stage. She doesn't sound like the studio now because she engineers vocals heavily due to her damaged voice and an unwillingness to admit that the range is reduced. Even if she stood in a studio with nobody listening it is extremely doubtful that she could sing something like Heavenly as it was pressed. You really are the most awful propaganda machine.

I love the "tropical" pic Mimi L. posted where it looks like Mariah is in the rainforest. So beautiful. The photographer did a great job. The Las Vegas showgirl pics are also nice.

People with low self esteem don't crave attention. This is another example of Mariah having a bad characteristic and trying to portray herself as the opposite. Mariah is vain and is known for being such around the world. No amount of caterwauling will make people think otherwise.

Self esteem (78,050)
by Tameka walker from United states
| |
|
|
I just want to say, that I commend Mariah for saying she has low self esteem. Did any of you guys stop to think the clothes and who she hangs around give her the attention she craves? For the clothes she wants to look sexy and be loved like other pop stars. She loves the attention because she suffers from low self esteem. I do kinda think that is what it stems from. She wants to be hot and sexy at 47. Sometimes she looks good but I love that voice and songwriting more than anything and that is why I am a fan. Now Stella and company I don't know them but what I will say is that Mariah may be looking for love in all the wrong places. I my self suffer from low self esteem and when I see some one like Mariah it shows one can have all the money in the world and still feel safe. I send my prayers to MC.

If she does I could easily see it debuting at #1. Taylor is at the peak of her career and she's a talented songwriter with a massive fan base.

She never lost her voice. She damaged her voice but when rested and rehearsed she's still capable of greatness. Mariah is never going to sound like she does in the studio on stage because of her stage fright. I think the annual Christmas residency, the Las Vegas residency, her SSFWT, and the ATH tour have made her a better performer. However, I hope she stops touring and only does the annual Christmas residency and releases a new album. I also hope she doesn't act in or make any cameos in any of her upcoming Hallmark films. She can't direct and star in a film. She needs directors like Lee.

Christmas (78,043)
by B from USA

I bought eight tickets to the All The Hits tour but the date was canceled (the Ohio concerts were postponed and later canceled) so I decided to attended Mariah's annual Chrismas residency in New York but then read she was doing the residency in Las Vegas and I was devastated. Christmas in Vegas isn't Christmas in New York. When I read in Mariah's Paper interview that she's still doing her annual Christmas residency at the Beacon theatre in New York I was thrilled. I wish Mariah would relocate to New York. She's a New Yorker.

The pic of MC in the car with the Vegas strip behind her would be a great cover for if a DVD of her #1 to Infinity show is ever released.

What happened to Mariah's voice ? (78,041)
by ksquarred from paris

|

I really don't understand. I've been a fan since the Glitter era when I was just 8 years old. I was at the Paris concert last year. I couldn't understand why there weren't any screens showing Mariah on stage. I thought it was because she found herself too fat or too old. I just stumbled on these. And I know get it. Starting at 2:43 it's the exorcist, a voice coming from out of space. Oh no, it's just the album version playing. The entire song as it was recorded in 93. Then I saw this. And this song proved she still could be great and it made me sad that she felt like she had to sit there and lie to 20,000 people throughout the other songs, looking miserable doing it, because she wasn't confident enough about her voice and herself, and that is why she will never accept to grow old and out of those skanky outfits, never let the world know her voice has matured, and that is why in my opinion she'll never renew herself. It's very sad. I feel for her.

I love these pictures. I'm still not understanding why team Mariah promoted the not so good pics (in my opinion) rather than some of these. The car shot and the face shot arey favs. I agree about the interview.

The battle of the cover girls. The Songbird Supreme versus someone I don't know. The version with Mariah is by far the better one. Less is more.
