Mara stop lying. You are no way near 41. That photo is gorgeous.

Re: Second favorite artists (75,379) (75,394) by Mara from United States
George Michael is my male equivalent to Mariah and who I am still devastated we will not know what could have come. I also am a huge Tears For Fears fan and adore Roland Orzabal's powerful voice. Before there was Mariah there was Whitney and that is who I tried to sing like and adored her since YGGL, but once Mariah came I just connected more with her songs. I also like Lana Del Rey. Great question Randy, I was actually thinking of asking the same thing after Chris Cornell died as it reminded me what kind of diverse fan base MC might have.

Aww B, after a pretty crappy day, your comment gave me something to smile about. Thank you for that my friend, means more than you know.

Re: Ages? (75,387) (75,391) by Randy from USA
Dude, it is the most depressing song ever recorded about hope. In addition there's nothing but MC and a guitar. No backgrounds, no beat, no rapper. The lyric is amazing showing her infinite ability to use complex words and metaphors. It is in a word simply beautiful.

I have a few. Mary J Blige, R. Kelly, Sade and Ice Cube.

RL of Next (75,388) by Terna from Nigeria
I'm listening to him right now and thinking Mariah should meetup with him and collaborate. I love his voice, nuances, control and his background vocals (which he does himself too) and I feel their voices match, something real powerful and of quality would come out of them collaborating.

Re: Ages? (75,343) (75,387) by Andrew from UK
I can't. To quote Mimi L. I can't. What is it about Right To Dream that you love? Allow me to tell you what it means to me: it represents the most depressive, dustbowl, devoid-of-hope, depressing, whiney, un-inflected tinny crap I've ever heard. It relinquishes me of hope. It makes the world a sadder place. Now, the Brandons of the world, or the Edouards of the world, will likely say it is "a genius creation that she didn't mean to depress people, and you just don't get it, know wah I'm sayen? Mariah is awesome, you just don't get that she's still awesome. You just don't get it." But, Randy Randy Randy, just explain. What is it about this song? Once and for all. State your purpose. Because Mimi L just can't. And Brandon always will. And even if he can't. He [censored] does.

My second fave(s) (75,386) by Pablo from Spain
Mariah's been my fave since 1995. Before Mariah, my fave were The Judds so... haha. Currently my second fave is Lady Gaga, but Brand New, The Killers, Shania Twain and No Doubt were also contenders for second fave. Lady Gaga is the only one that comes close to Mariah for me though and still, Gaga doesn't come all that close. I also like Alanis Morissette a lot too. And Robbie Williams.

1. Eva Cassidy
2. George Michael
3. The Cranberries
Andy, I've always defended your liking of "Right to Dream", I even gave it your name as a title (Andy's Theme). I can't believe you told me to shut up, Andrew is the one who should be nailed on the cross for that.

36 and proud to have experienced the greatness of Mariah's music in the 90's, and beyond. Mimi L., you shouldn't post messages after 10pm., neither the other babies in here.

36, but as Puffy would say, "preserving the sexy" - lol. I liked the lyrics in I Don't. The first verse into the pre-chorus I thought was classic Mariah. "Somewhere in another life, we stole a moment in time, gave you everything that you needed, I was even down to repeat it. Said you would always be mine, feeding me nothing but lies." I was like ok Mariah you took more than 5 minutes to write this. Kind of reminded me of the lyrics to "Long Ago": "Once Upon a time you whispered softly in my ear, loving words of fairytales, I that I longed to hear." Another gem that doesn't get brought up enough.

Re: Article: The diva goes casual (75,377) (75,381) by Licia from USA
Now I just saw an article of her with the kids in this outfit and the article is about seeing her thong through her stretch pants. I'm going to focus on the positives and say the kids were cute. Roe was adorable in her denim outfit. Roc was busy with his iPad to care about anything happening around him. Lol.

I could name so many people because my 2nd favorite changes just by me hearing a song I haven't heard in years. Lol. If I had to choose one though, I would say Whitney as well.

Second favorite artists (75,379) by Randy from USA
It's obvious MC is everyone's favorite but I'm just curious who your second favorite artists are? It'll let me know what you like about MC. My 2nd favorite is Whitney Houston.

I'm not a huge fan of her turning into Stella either (I totally get what you're saying on that point), but I can't on one hand complain about her not putting on clothes and then backdoor and complain when she has on clothes. I have to look at the positives. She looks nice. The twins are present, but not in our faces. She doesn't have on a stank bodysuit and she has on pants.

Article: The diva goes casual (75,376) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I just read the article and saw the pics. Nothing against casual, but to dress like Crustella isn't casual. When I saw the first pic I thought ok, but I could see a big handbag and a female hand behind MC and I already knew who it was. Lol. The second pic was the prove that (surprise) the black leather jacket was also there. Can we get more family (Mariah/Nick and the kids) pics please? Because it was nice to see her without "the manager". I think I'm not alone with this thought.

Re: Ages? (75,349) (75,375) by B from USA
Almost Home could have been a hit, had Mariah and Disney promoted it. Disney usually goes all out promoting songs that are released as singles to promote their films but for some reason they didn't. I Don't is a good song that could have been better had Mariah interpolated more of Jones's song into it, especially lyrically. I didn't care for YG's verse (verses) until he performed it on Kimmel with Mariah. He steadied her nerves when he came back on stage and she let lose and slayed.

Endless Love (75,374) by B from USA
Mariah and Lionel need to release a version of Endless Love. It would be an excellent way to promote the tour and I could see it becoming a hit on Adult Contemporary radio.

I meant to include AIWFCIY but somehow didn't. When I was talking about people thinking she covered a Phil Spector song I was referring to AIWFCIY.

Article: L.A. Reid says Mariah is "not going to have a No. 1" song (75,372) by B from USA
I so disagree with him. I cannot believe he of all people would count Mariah out or bet against her. Funny how a few years later he was banking on Mariah's new album being a success but was fired before it was released.

Article: Mariah Carey, Lionel Richie not feuding over concert tour (75,371) by B from USA
If ticket sales were that bad they wouldn't have rescheduled the tour after postponing it. They would have just released a statement saying that Lionel's knee is still not fully healed so the tour had to be cancelled or postponed indefinitely. Don't believe tabloid rumors.
