Re: Skydiving (76,365) (76,366) by G.G. from USA
Another day, another hateful mean comment from the same bitter Betty. Bless your sad little heart.

Re: Skydiving (76,359) (76,365) by Andrew from UK
But, don't worry, a member of your family or one of your friends will be randomly quoted as supporting whatever nonsense propaganda you are coming up with today. I don't have to be specific, I don't think, with why messages from the likes of you and Terna are nonsense. Most objective reasonable persons know what you are doing. We will never get on because you are a liar. You lie. Unequivocally. You misrepresent things so as to suit what you want to be true. Essentially what you are asking is for everyone who reads your posts to pretend they're a daft twat. Yes, I said the word "bomb". Send in the clowns. You would do anything to detract from the point and try to silence dissent. His name was Martyn. Martyn Hett. He was my friend. He was indeed blown up by a bomb. And I can tell you he would have laughed at the joke I made. And, furthermore, I promise you, he thought you a nut job, too.

Re: Article: Mariah Carey is reportedly flirting with Drake (76,363) (76,364) by 123 from USA
Finally some gossip that will actually benefit her. Stella, make this happen. If you want to see real money roll in, watch what a quality song with Drake and Mariah on it skyrocket to the top. I want an uptempo club banger. Mariah, please work with Drake. She's never seemed to keen on him in the past but this collab has been needing to happen for a minute, just like the Miguel/Mariah collab that I needed to happen and when it did it peaked at number 15 (I still think it could have went top 10, maybe even number 1). I knew Beautiful was getting popular when I heard the little grade school girls singing it on their way home from school.

Re: Article: Mariah Carey is reportedly flirting with Drake (76,362) (76,363) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Dahlin' I don't mean to sound rude, but what exactly in Mariah's current state is a good look? Everything is a mess, her image is in shambles, her projects are abandoned mid way. I don't really care who Drake is close with. DJ Khaled has Nicki on his new album but Mariah is close with Khaled. JLo and French Montana are pretty tight friends yet Mariah recorded WYM with him and there is possibly another collaboration coming up with French. LA Reid, Mariah's "savior" the person Mariah trusts blindly brought in JLo to Epic right after he got Mariah to run back to him. Then I don't see the problem with Drake, someone who can actually help out here. The entertainment industry is a small world, everyone is somehow connected to everyone. It doesn't matter. Yes there might be 1-2 articles cooking up stuff to portray a Drake-Mariah union (whether romantic or professional) in a negative light, but if she can strike gold with this again, then I say go for it. At this point she has nothing to lose.

Article: Mariah Carey is reportedly flirting with Drake (76,362) by Matthew from USA
I disagree. I don't think this is a good look. JLo has been there, done that. Also Drake and Nicki Minaj are close. But I guess Mariah is at the point in her career where any little bit helps.

I'm all for a Drake/Mimi collaboration.

While this article screams "fake news", I'm totally down for this. For once, Mariah will date an A-lister in years haha, bye Tanaka. Also get that 19th #1 mama, no harm in getting a little help from Drake's Midas' touch. I mean Mariah has given many artists their first #1, so why not?

I've only heard a very poor quality version of it and read the lyrics. Maybe if I heard the finished version it would change my mind.

Re: Skydiving (76,339) (76,358) by Terna from Nigeria
And that's just your own opinion. I still stick by my original post that "Skydiving" is Mariah at her story telling best. You have to read between the lines on that song. Its story isn't direct like say "Betcha gon know" or "The Roof" from Butterfly. And mind you the version we've heard of "Skydiving" is a very rough one take, almost demo-like. There easily could've been a bridge and a third verse.

Re: Who would you pick (76,354) (76,357) by B from USA
Eric, his original message is the following: The world is a darker place with people like you in it. You're a bomb short of a campaign, you nut job. Did it say anything about me disses other artist? No, it's him being a hateful queen. We just lost a member of the board to a nut job on a campaign with a bomb.

Re: Who would you pick (76,354) (76,356) by B from USA
Fair enough. But for him to use the word bomb and best believe it was intentional was a new low.

I hate to say it, but this time I have to agree with Andrew. I don't understand why you keep bringing other artists down, just to make Mariah look good.

You're a bomb short of a campaign, you nut job. Really? I've avoided you and will continue to do so but you've kept trying to bait me. I only replied because of your choice to use the word bomb. Which is tasteful but coming from you I should have expected it.

Re: Who would you pick (76,351) (76,352) by Licia from USA
They can't keep her at any lower level if she doesn't want to be there. We can blame Stella all we want, but ultimately a lot of these decisions are made with Mariah's approval. They aren't making her do anything. She's going right along with it.

Re: Who would you pick (76,324) (76,350) by 123 from USA
Thanks for bringing her up, I will def look her up. If you have any go to songs I should hear let me know. I love discovering new music. I love most genres and my only requirement is that the music is good. I always admired Mariah for keeping her love life private, sans her marriage to Nick which was understandable to a limit, but I kind of blame it on Medina for trying to market her like JLo making it all about her love life. But with Mariah, people don't care who she dates, they care about the music. Funny you mentioned Sade when describing Kate because her name immedidately came to mind. Still obsessed with Moon and The Sky from her last album. I love Stevie Nicks. I'm obsessed with Stevie's Beauty and the Beast. These are the type of songs that pull at her heartstrings and resonate in your soul. Your quote is the reason for the current status of her public persona. "Nowadays pop music is more about the persona than the artistry. Most singers these days are unoriginal attention whores seemingly lacking any discernable talent. Mariah is very talented." She's adopting the current pop star model full tilt moving of LA and setting up a relationship with TMZ to make sure she is photographed and filled several times a week during various things which gives her milleage in the gossip rags. These days, you have to constantly keep yourself in the public eye because if you take a break you're a has been a year later. I get why she is doing it but can we get an era where she is actually going to promote full force again with high profile interviews, great tv performances of new music on every show, and a radio deal. She never skimps on the quality the songs on her albums, but she has to promote and have the song and video radio asap witha radio deal for the single. If it's a sure fire hit it will gain more spins after the deal especially whith great performances at least once a week. Great post.

Re: Forbes (76,333) (76,349) by 123 from USA
Showbiz Tonight claimed they knew for sure Mariah pulled 18 mil to Aretha when she threw her hat in to be a judge.
Interviewer: And she's going to be making 18 million for 1 year.
Aretha: You think so.
Interviewer: We know so.
Aretha: Do you know that, how do you know that?
Interviewer: Well we have it confirmed to someone very close to her.
Aretha: Ok inside sources, would that be her husband, wait he said 100 million.
Interviewer: She's the highest paid judge on tv.
Aretha: I would think they would have to compensate her for the lost of concerts for the year so those numbers could add up and accumulate.
I love this interview from Aretha, she throws shade upon shade upon shade. Lol. I would have wished the picked Aretha instead of Nicki.

Shipping date (76,348) by Lila from United States
I'm ignoring the shipping date issue but if others want to express their disappointment then I don't see anything wrong with it. It's not as if they're complaining for nothing. They were excited at the possibility of wearing their gear at their respective pride events and have had the wind taken out of their sails with seeing the shipping date. We've all been there before: excited about something, it didn't turn out as expected, and we were left disappointed. I'm also pretty sure that, in those moments, we didn't want someone minimizing our feelings. It's great that others will be able to wear their gear in July and August but that in no way erases those who are going to miss out nor their feelings.

The One and Usher's Confessions (76,347) by B from USA
When Mariah released The Emancipation of Mimi everyone said she copied Usher's style on certain songs like Shake It Off. This is utter nonsense. Usher's Confessions is a copy of Mariah's The One. Lyrically both songs are confessional and deal with relationships. I wish Mariah had released The One. If she resung the song in full voice instead of a whisper she would made a comeback earlier. Which is exactly JD told her ass to do. Sang. However, at the time she was resting her voice and working with a vocal coach and specialist.

Yes, it would have been nice to have the pride collection release in June during Pride Month (which commemorates the June 1969 Stonewall Riots in New York City). However I don't believe we should start troll Mariah's team for their chosen shipping date of July 3rd. Let's keep things in the positive. Re: Who would you pick (76,324) (76,343) by B from USA
She needs to keep her personal life private. She doesn't need to do reality shows or talk about her relationships. Mariah get it together. We've had two years of Stella and Companies messiness tarnishing your brand and name. Yes, you're a legend and they can't take that away from you but your employees are killing your chances at a comeback. They're keeping you low so you're on their level and they can be your equals when they never were or will be.

Re: Pride collection: fan reactions (76,336) (76,342) by Licia from USA
I agree that pride is everyday, but these items are being marketed for a certain time and event. I don't think it's unreasonable for people to want these pride items that they purchased to be delivered in timely manner so that they can wear them during the festivities. People aren't just being a**holes about it or complaining to attack Mariah.
