Mariah and LA Reid (75,253) by darrian liu from taiwan Tbh, I think Mariah is relying too much on her back catalogue and past successes. It's maybe one of the reasons why her output lately is so sloppy and subpar to her previous releases - she just probably thinks she could get away with those messes (a good chunk of MIAM era, MW, etc). She has to find that fire back if she wants to regain success. Her "manager" isn't helping as well by being the ultimate leech-enabler hybrid. And now that LA Reid is out of Epic, there's a good chance that she could be dropped (it really depends on this upcoming album imo, if she doesn't gather her shit together it would probably tank). If she doesn't wanna be dropped, musical experimentation isn't just a good thing, it's a necessity. She needs to update her sound, up her style game. (Her being on the heavier side is actually no problem to me. People, especially from my generation, are becoming much more accepting to various body types and champion body positivity. She just needs to choose more flattering styles, something more classy and exudes effortless sexiness.) Up her vocal performances (SSFT quality vocals on big TV shows/events would bring so much good press), and up her promo game. And all those won't happen with 1. Mariah being in this little bubble and 2. Stella. I swear, the day Stella gets kicked out of Mariah camp along with her people, will be one of the happiest days that I'll ever have as a lamb. If he got fired(keyword if) because of his decision to keep her on the roster then it would be a slap in the face for her to just give up and run. Let that man know you respect him and will not give him any reason to believe he made the wrong decision. Stay there and remind them why you're considered one of the greatest and stop giving people the ammunition to doubt you. (Monday 15 May 2017; 14:42)

Then Doug Morris moved to Sony to become the head of Sony and hired LA Reid to head the "Epic" label. Last month Doug Morris stepped down as big boss at Sony but instead of promoting Reid to the position he chose the head of "Columbia" instead. (Monday 15 May 2017; 13:31)

It's rumored that he may be going over to Warner. The article also says that this could be bad news for the newly re-singed Mariah Carey as he was one of the last people left who believes in her. Mariah can't handle even one more "MIAM" type era with uncertainty and disorganization. (It would actually be her third strike in this department; 1. Glitter 2. MIAMTEC.) His reputation is kind of riding on the success of her first official studio album for Epic because he signed her. She most likely had a filler injected or some botox done because her face looks a little swollen in the pictures. Personally, I don't think she needs fillers and it's obvious it's Stella's influence that is causing her to use fillers. I really hope she doesn't think that Stella looks good because her surgeon did a horrid job which she unfortunately highlights with her overuse of blush and contouring. (Sunday 14 May 2017; 20:58)

She's leasing or renting the Calabassases home and she probably stays in those Air B&Bs or whatever their called for free because every time she does there are countless articles about the mansion she's staying in. What other homes does she still own? I'm almost certain she sold both of the homes she purchased while married to Nick (the LA manor and her island getaway I mentioned above). JD was in debt and about to lose his mansion in Atlanta when Mariah hired him. I understand why she hired him but it was a poor decision. The man can't even manage his own finances. I also hate that he laid most of the blame for MIAM's failure on Mariah and yet he was her manager, a collaborator she'd taken advice from before, and a friend. MIAM failed because of the multiple delays and poor single choices. Mariah needs to play her new album for fans like she did Charmbracelet and allow them to chose her first (or second single) or at least take their responses to the songs into consideration before choosing a single. I think IDJ chose You're Mine (Eternal) as the second single from MIAM because they wanted to replicate the success of Its Like That and We Belong Together. However, they dropped the ball by not securing the song a Clear Channel deal like #Beautiful. If the song had received the same treatment from IDJ that #Beautiful did it would have charted higher on both the R&B chart and the Hot 100. (Sunday 14 May 2017; 20:41)

Re: The turd turbulence (75,231) (75,236) by Edward from USA Drew, that's never going to happen. Everything that goes on Mariah's World is due to some external forces working against her. You can read the Delulons here stating how she had to fire JD and Randy Jackson because they were responsible for the demise of MIAM and her American Idol fiasco respectively, and they state that as facts, as if they could produce any proof that it happened that way. LA Reid made a comment and all of a sudden everything he did for Mariah is done and forgotten, now he's the bad guy and partially guilty for Mariah's big balloons and cheek implants. Some even deny Mariah has done anything to her new Stella-look-alike face when it's effing clear the woman has been on Hollywood mode for quite sometime now. Yes, there are people working with Mariah that are definitely incompetent, but Mariah hired them. These leeches most of us talk about didn't just come out of nowhere, they were put in place by Ms. Carey. So, if Ms. Carey doesn't care about these leeches leeching on her, I say they should leech on her mercilessly. It's her money and even if Stella and posse leached 50 million from her, she'll still be OK. If there isn't any desire in Mariah for making good music as she's been showing with these mediocre singles and remixes, I think she should just retire and keep on doing reality TV, she's very good at it, and she doesn't have to sing. Mariah's debut album (75,235) by MusicfanJ from Germany I'm still blown away by her debut album. Also some parts has the 80ies early 90ies elements (love it), the production was perfection and 100% on point. In '90 it was like boom here's the new superstar, and she won't go. My mother bought the record immediately after listening to "Vision of love". So I guess she influenced me then when I was little. My first cassette album was Daydream. Anyway I wish she would work with professionals again. I'm trying to keep excited for the new label. Hopefully it brings "fresh wind" and new inspiration. (Sunday 14 May 2017; 18:14)
