New producer (74,454) by B from USA
Mark Ronson, Happy Perez, and Bruno and The Smeezingtons is who she should work with. I wonder what a song written by Mariah and Max Martin would sound like. She's written R&B Pop songs for Britney and Christina.

Re: The cycle of the lambs (74,447) (74,453) by B from USA
R&B can be uptempo. Dreamlover, Fantasy, and Honey are R&B songs that crossed over. Make It Look Good and YDKWYD are uptempo R&B songs. She needs to dig through the crates and find another gem like the Blind Alley sample she used for Dreamlover. Sampling Jones's songs for I Don't was a stroke of genius. The lyrics needed some work and she should have interpolated the songs lyrics into the lyrics of I Don't like she did for My All Stay Awhile.

That was kind of awesome. Lol. Thanks for sharing.

Loved this. The stage presence, great vocals, boobs missing.

So true, Andrew, so true. I know my heart will be broken, but I passionately await another Butterfly and the recognition of her peers and the general public.

Mariah Carey featuring Mariah Carey (74,449) by Andrew from UK
If you ever wondered what two Mariahs on stage doing a duet and singing around each other would look and sound like, the last minute of thisis probably as close as you're going to get. Totally bizarre. Utterly brilliant.

I don't know if this is directed at me but it's hilarious and somewhat accurate so I'll allow it.

Pretty much, but I gotta say I wasn't disappointed with MIAMTEC the album itself. It had a few gems, it was just the mess around it. And lambs can hope but MC isn't going to do anything other than RnB. JD made that very clear in his last interview. But yes that still leaves most of the listed collaborators as possibilities.

Daft Punk.

Mark Ranson, oh hell yes. I want Mariah to work with Missy Elliot again too. The songs she has produced for Monica, MJB, Keyshia Cole along with other artists have been on fire. Love Missy.

Re: New album producers (74,431) (74,444) by B from USA
I'd be content with her writing the entire album with Babyface and then bringing in Happy Perez and other producers who can fuse together the music of the past and present like Kanye on his first two albums.

Happy anniversary, Touch My Body (74,443) by B from USA
Nine years ago today Mariah scored her 18th Billboard Hot 100 #1 with Touch My Body. Hopefully, Mariah scores another #1. I want her to break The Beatles record so bad or for her to at least tie their record. Unfornately, the men that own and run the radios and the djs don't like MC because she broke Elvis' record they still claim that their [sic] tied because Elvis' record was a double a-side but if that's allowed Mariah has #19 because of the My All/Breakdown double a-side. Notice how hard it's been for her to get any airplay?

She's in the kitchen cooking (74,442) by Edouard from France
I think Butterfly MC Records is a great idea. It makes sense since it's the Butterfly album's anniversary. Mariah's in charge of her legacy as we all learn to become in our lives. I believe it's a great idea. Mariah wants to make music and she's making sure her next effort is properly supported. When you think about it, Mariah's most successful album have always come with a strong and long preparation in terms of songwritting, image, legal/label stuff, deals, publicity, media connections, etc.
- Mariah Carey: Two years to cook, without counting her journey to write her first album which started way earlier than 1988.
- Music Box: She was married to the head of the label so this album's success was heavily connected to Mottola's influence, good and bad.
- Daydream: She changed her game working hard, fighting with the label, to incorporate more rnb hiphop influences, her own touch basically.
- Butterfly: The opposite of Music Box. A lot of media attention with the divorce. Mottola had to behave. A lot of tension, you can sense it in MC's interviews
- TEOM: A lot of preparation in terms of image, influence and media connection. It felt like a first album ever.
Bottom line, I think Mariah knows what she's doing right now. She's in the kitchen cooking.

The cycle of the lambs (74,441) by Andrew from UK
Mariah announces album, lamb gets excited, lamb chooses different types of music lamb wants to hear on it, lamb chooses new artists and producers Mariah should work with to achieve said sound, lamb gets frustrated with Mariah dropping hints for well over six months but not really saying anything of substance, lamb gets excited at photo of Mariah is studio but lamb is disappointed with who she is in studio with, lamb gets annoyed when album is pushed back, the already fatigued lamb tries to remain excited for the album after what feels like a lifetime of waiting, lamb gets frustrated with lack of promo for albums upcoming release, lamb suffers massive breakdown when Mariah releases another self-referential titled album featuring rent-a-rappers and produced by Jermaine Dupri, lamb becomes depressed when anything fails to chart well, lamb looks forward to next album release hoping everything will be different next time.

Re: Possible collaborators (74,438) (74,440) by B from USA
Alicia Keys. I'd love it if they wrote a song like Falling, Like You'll Never See Me Again, or If I Ain't Got You. I just hope Mariah writes classy poetic lyrics like she did during Daydream and Butterfly. No more songs like Infinity, Obsessed, or I Don't, or Thirsty. Mariah's last hit was #Beautiful which updated her signature sound which is why she should work with Miguel and Happy Perez. They created magic together and I'm sure they could again. I just hope she hires a new manager and publicist for this new era. The only thing Stella & Company have done is tarnish her image. I know she has a joint production company with Stella but she could easily sell her stake in the company or just give it to her as a parting gift. I'm sure LA told her Bryan and Stella weren't doing her any favors. She ended her faux romance with Bryan and hopefully she's about to emancipate herself from the dictator. She also needs to hire a lamb to run her social media accounts. I've seen fake accounts that are better than her's.

Re: Possible collaborators (74,438) (74,439) by B from USA
Mariah did just that by featuring Remy Ma on the remix to I Don't. I'm elated that she's reconnected with LA and is going to release an album later this year (they said to expect it sooner rather than later). I'll be ordering tickets to the New Jersey concert next month. Let's focus on the positives instead of the negatives.

Re: Possible collaborators (74,425) (74,438) by Malcolm from Asia
It'll be good if Mariah will have at least one female collaborator for the next album, a current singer from this generation and not just a rapper because it will totally lessens her "diva" reputation and can unleash the true meaning of a "diva" like what she and Whitney did back in the day. It's time for her to be the Whitney and welcome other females to have a duet with her. Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, Jessie J, Sia, Zendaya, Tinashe, Andra Day, or even Ariana will do.

Re: Mariah Carey most disrespected icon? (74,433) (74,437) by Lexingz from Estonia
Sheila, I think it would really suck if everybody starts bashing Janet. I think she is still putting out good work. Plus, she is a new mom so it's not cool.

Vibe of the messageboard (74,436) by Malcolm from Asia
It's glad to see that our board is alive and full of ideas for the next album compared to this last few months (or years lol). It's good to feel this vibe again.

I was joking. When I saw the I Don't video, I thought to myself, "Now they're sharing their leather jacket." Imagine though.

Mariah Carey most disrespected icon? (74,433) by Sheila from United States
New article I read on Janet Jackson. Yes, Janet Jackson - a woman who has sold over 100 million albums, becoming the blueprint for aspiring starlets worldwide who could unleash every eye-cutting note and body rolling move from 1987’s iconic "The Pleasure Principle" clip by heart - has become the most disrespected pop behemoth this side of Mariah Carey.

New album producers (74,431) by T from USA
I would like Daley, Pharrell, Babyface, and Timbaland. Producers with a vision. Co-writers that can tell a story with their pens.
