Her face doesn't look bizarre. She looks good, and yes she definitely has makeup but not as much as she usually does. She doesn't have the heavy contour, the fake lashes and the smokey eyes. See you can't really call someone "bizarre looking" and then wonder why this woman has issues with her looks and is always complaining about lighting and angles. Comments like these on pictures where she tried to be low maintenance is what probably made her go down the drag makeup route and in the first place, where she feels at unease with her features.

IHeart Awards (73,382)
by Haiji Toro from USA

Hello everyone. I pray all is well with my fellow lambs/fans. So, I'm flipping through channels and landed on said awards, as announcement stated the next award would go to the Best Fan Army. The nominees were, 5SOS, Arianators, Beyhive, Britney Army, Lovatics, Harmonizers, Beliebers, KatyCats, Little Monsters, Rihanna Navy, Selenators, Mendes Army, and #twentyonepilots. Wow that's a lot of nominees. I just feel like they left one out. Isn't it already known worldwide that the Lambs were the first and originators of naming our fan base? Regardless of, if we were to win or not, I still feel that with so many options they had, I'm sure they coulda squeezed us in. Now, if we have been nominated in the past for that category, and I'm unaware of that, then my apologies for the rant lol. I just found it very shady. Moving along. Here are my thoughts on a few topics on this messageboard. I'm not sure how the order of songs on MIAMTEC should be, but I think it should've started with "You Don't Know What To Do". Her a capella intro is a perfect way to start the album and it's an upbeat song, in tradition with the majority of her albums, excluding her debut and Charmbracelet. I didn't care for the bonus remixes. She should've just included all the reworked remixes that were gonna be on the Angels Advocate Remix album, or even all her unreleased songs. I like her new IG pic, it's refreshing to see her look like that, with almost no filters, even with a towel and a little makeup, still looks natural and beautiful. I always get excited to learn that she's releasing new music, so I can't wait to hear her song with Busta. I know personally, I'd rather a full album, maybe even an EP, but I kinda understand why she's choosing that route. If she's thinking about sales, then singles would be the smart thing to do, but please progress with each release. Lastly, RibbonB, I've been wanting to see Get Out since I saw the trailer for it late last year. It looks really good. I couldn't stop laughing at "Mariah, you in danger girl", still lmao. My mom has been saying that MC's current situation reminds her of what Selena (Quintanilla) went through. I pray that the outcome won't be the same though.

He couldn't handle it. I feel bad for him, sometimes. Think about it. You claim to love someone, yet you go to a website dedicated to that person and attempt to tear them down, daily. Imagine the chaos and confusion that goes on inside of his mind. Sad.

I think Mariah has lost her confidence and knows that right now the odds are against her on so many levels. To be honest Mariah has to blame herself for some of her missteps recently. Honestly people still love good music it is up to Mariah to provide the product. I need for MC to get out of her own head and find inspiration other than just the clubs and any rent a rapper that will hop on a track with her. Mariah is an artist that is a multitude of genres and a wide fan base that needs their fix. I would not mind an upbeat affair, and a splash of strong ballads. I just want that confident, sexy woman back who is not trying too hard.

An album with just uptempo songs would never, ever work. She's not that kind of artist, so to expect her to do something that is completely unlike her is counterproductive. Also, she did the no rapper approach with MOAIA. In terms of Mariah's catalogue, what classifies as a "crappy album"?

New album (73,375)
by G.G. from USA
| |

It's not that people don't want albums anymore. No one wants crappy albums, or poorly planned album roll outs with delay after delay. In my opinion, Mariah should put out a really upbeat album, no slow songs and no rappers. Yeah right, she'll always have atleast one rent a rapper on her album.

It makes me sad that for Mariah the money seems more important than the music nowadays. I prefer albums not singles. A real piece of art not mainstream singles for teens. They can go listen to Rihanna and Tyler and co. Look at Ed Sheeran, this young man has another hit-album. He traveled a year around the world without camera and made a fresh new album with his talent. It is possible to sell without selling your soul to the business. A real artist shouldn't sell only products and only release singles. It's better to take a time out from the circus and find inspiration again. But as long as Crustella and her ridiculous "team" will be around I haven't left much hope for changes. Crustella should play "Money makes the world go around" from Cabaret for the next idea/interview.

You made some great and valid points. Mariah is one of those artists that I'm always going to want a full album from, but if going this route is what she feels she needs to do then I just have to accept it. At least I'd be getting new music. I just want her to put out geeat songs. Not mediocre, get the fans and the record label off my back songs.

I'm loving this photo. I don't know why the article thinks it's embarrassing. She obviously doesn't look her best but pretty good for someone who's just woken up and managed to put their eyeliner on.

That could be true, and she wouldn't be mistaken. Beyonce or Adele aren't the standard to go by when thinking about album sales in this day and age. Testing the waters with singles and trying new things without committing to a full-length album might actually be exactly what she needs right now. If they get at least one of those singles right, it should eventually lead to an album.

Also when Mariah first got on Twitter, she used to tweet "mornTing" very often. Nice to get a real Mariah tweet again. Her other fave twitter thing used to be "NTT", those were the days.

No more albums (73,364)
by Will from England
| |

If you look at the talent shows recently, what they like to highlight more so than sales, are the number of singles that have been sold. Consider this, before digital marketing, you had the physical albums, where you would get the song you wanted to listen to, plus others that you'd discover to be higher quality in terms of topics, lyricism etc. than perhaps the main singles chosen to represent that album. People used to have no choice but to buy an entire album. Now, you it's like a pic n' mix counter, where you can choose the songs you like and want to buy, but no longer obliged to buy the whole album unless you are a mainstream fan of said artist(s). We have always known that the album sales are declining, and it's not just Mariah's that are low in the numbers, with the exception of those who are currently the "in thing". That's why some artists hold back on releasing albums on iTunes etc. (Adele) and instead release the physical albums first to maximise on those sales. However, that approach would only work for some artists, and I don't think that Mariah is one of them any more. Mariah is known for her impeccable albums (there is no such thing as a "bad" Mariah album, just some are better than others), but they require money from the label to record, print physical copies etc. and promote it. If the label does not have faith in Mariah recording an album that will sell, and therefore not willing to fund the creation of an album, then perhaps it's best for Mariah to go down this route. We still get new music, and not have to wait months, along with the fact that we can hear what and where Mariah feels creatively. What she creates now, probably will be different to what she wants in a few months time. And don't forget this: her last three singles have all be project singles; Infinity for Vegas, Infamous for Empire and ID for MW. This next single with Busta will be her first one in a while, that isn't tied to a side project to promote it, so it may have a different approach lyrically or sonically to it than the last three.

Mariah changed. At one time it was about the music, it really was. But she was also a poor girl who felt the power of what money can bring. Somewhere around the time of around Rainbow/2000 her priority changed. It became about making money. $80 million to sign with Virgin, $18 million to do American Idol, countless perfumes, makeup lines and side projects and now an E. Network show. These things are not music descisions, they are money considerations. So now in an industry where albums don't make a lot of money it doesn't surprise me that she doesn't want anything to do with one. Singles are quick and easy and you can make a fast buck, period. At one time it used to music that was Mariah's inspiration, now it's money. A real musical act would never keep Stella around.
