I also had the thought about the album. I hope I'm wrong too. Yes the industry "killed" something in Mariah. Even the title has something like, now you know my story, I've given you everything, there won't be more to tell. Just a thought.

Haha I wish I did exaggerate but nope. Apparently Mr. Tanaka lost his luggage and so he had just 1 set of clothes. (Ok so side note, I've never been on a private jet but shouldn't your luggage also be on it or does it come separately? I don't get how it got lost.) More cringe worthy than buying him dresses was her feeling the need to sit on his lap while he holds her waist to "fix his hair" which needed no fixing. About Anthony, you'll see he's pretty straight forward with Mariah, he'll tell her stuff as it is, whether she likes it or not and that's professionalism. Because ultimately those things helped Mariah's performances. Stella on the other hand is all about "you're great, you're beautiful, they're haters, they're jealous".

That's what I fear. Mariah must feel very lonely inside. She lost her "true" love. And nobody seems to help her in this phase. Mariah is hiding a lot of pain. She's gone trough a lot in her life, at some point you can't take any more sh.. and you start to give up. (like you said to care of yourself). I just want her to be happy, I would love to hear new music but most of all I care for her as a human being. So many great artists ended lonely and unhappy. MC deserves a happy end. She has a good heart. If only she would left the circus around her. That could help a lot. The social-media break was a good decision. I still have some hope that one day she will come back like a phoenix.

Why would that be her last album when she's been recording? I think the reason she hasn't released anything is because it no doubt annoyed her that that album was just swept under the rug pretty much and everything went tits up. I'd imagine she doesn't want to release good music until she knows the time is right so it doesn't go to waste.

Why be anything but nice? Because people have ears and it sounded terrible. There is a huge difference between being mean and being real. If you believed that it sounded good then I'm sure you would have said that rather than telling us to be nice. We all know what the deal is, it's just a matter of who is willing to speak out. The fact that this was at a wedding is what makes this situation so much worse and indefensible. This was this couple's one special night that millions of dollars were spent on. Hopefully this will be their first and last wedding. There are just some situations where it is totally inappropriate and inconsiderate to screw up on that level. I just hate that when people defend Mariah they never acknowledge or empathize with the people who are impacted by her mistakes. Millions of dollars were spent on a singer for a wedding who sounded like she had a frog in her throat. That is embarrassing and an artist should be ashamed to go out there unprepared like that in a moment that is so important in someone else's life. Everything isn't just about Mariah and her journey like so many fans think it is. People seem to think that as long as Mariah can walk away unbothered and rich that it doesn't matter when she does inconsiderate things. We should all accept it because she's Mariah and she's breathing, something us peasants should be grateful for. The real world is not Mariah's World. It's also about the people who have been personally affected by cancelled shows, ridiculously late appearances, chronic lip syncing and press-the-mute-button-worthy vocals. They matter too.

The missing chanteuse (food for thought) (71,334)

What if "Me. I Am Mariah...The Elusive Chanteuse" was Mariah's last album? Think about it, something about that album feels like she's saying goodbye or throwing in the towel like f**k it. I'm done with this industry and the disgusting haters and it's been like what? Four years since its release. Also the expression on her face on the deluxe edition totally rubs me the wrong way. It's no secret how the industry killed Mariah's spirit with all the envy, and conscious efforts to downplay her achievements. And seeing how she has embraced touring and live performances. Oh man I do hope I'm wrong.

I'm just glad to know that Anthony had common sense and tried to steer her away from the f*ckery being posted on Instagram. He actually cared about how she looks and how JP might feel seeing this. By reading this summary I'm convinced that Mariah doesn't want a man, she wants a lap dog who won't say anything about her behavior. If this relationship with Banaka Tanaka is real he's perfect for her. Did she really buy him clothes? Please tell me you exaggerated most of this summary. Lol.

Numb (71,332)
by Sasha from Nomansland

I wish we were all being just a bit too overdramatic about what's happening in her life but our fears are slowly being realized. She's on a path of self destruction since she split with Cannon and it's happening right in our face. She seems so numb these days as if nothing can touch her anymore. She's obviously in a deep distress because how a woman who once was so perfectionist and careful about every details of her career can allow such disastrous performances and personal wretchedness for all to see? It's a big crying out for help but no one is listening and I think it's tragic. She's heading down the wrong path and I really can't foresee a good ending.

I miss these type of remixes. Resung vocals and new beats. No cut and paste vocals. Artists (not only Mariah) actually went into the studio and created brand new songs that sounded sometimes better than the original. I just need people to appreciate Underneath the Stars period. That song is magical. Original and remix combined. I agree B that TGIFY remix helped a lot. I like the original, but I love what they did with the remix and alot of people besides the lambily loved and appreciated it as well.

Does Mariah actually see a vocal coach? (71,327)
by darrian liu from taiwan
| |
|
|
Although her SSFT and Vegas vocals show improvement in consistency from let's say, 2014, the best days of 2014 are pretty much equal to the best dates of SSFT and Vegas. Pretty good support in her belts up to Eb5, basically almost nothing good above E5, good lows down to C3, solid head voice, and an overly chesty, heavy mix where she often closes off her throat above C#5/D5. Technically, she's been stagnant in that position since 2009. That's definitely not a sign of someone seeing a vocal coach or someone with a healthy set of vocal cords. In fact, I don't think Mariah shows signs of both factors. For the love of God, please Mariah, see a vocal coach. Preferably vocal trainer with classical method, or see the one Whitney hired in her last days, Gary Catona. He managed to salvage what's left of that instrument of Whitney in her last days, so why couldn't he do the same to Mariah? So it turned out that he works with clients who have damaged their voices in one way or another. In short, he's the perfect vocal coach for Mariah.

MW episode 6 : Mimi L review (71,325)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter

1) So you all remember this picture? So Anthony comes to MC and asks her if she knows this image is on her instagram. Mariah says "no" and Anthony is like he doesn't even know they were taking pictures. Mariah says she wouldn't have posted it if it was her. Kris asks what's wrong with it? And Mariah says that Anthony is worried James might now like these to be on social media and Mariah says well James is not always checking out her instagram as he's busy making billions of dollars. Well just because someone is busy making billions doesn't mean that automatically makes these ok M, how would you feel if it was the other way around? Stop defending the Bulochnikovs please. Anyways Anthony says he thinks Mariah should definitely approve what goes on her social media. Anthony is the best thing on the show. 2) Drama-naka is back selling his pity story about feeling bad about his leg. Another dancer cracked his ankle. 3) So Mariah on the plane, suddenly decides she wants to fix Bryan's hair. Side note: his hair was perfectly fine to begin with. Anyways so she gets on his lap to fix his hair while he's holding her by the waste and everyone is like what on Earth? Back at the hotel Stella teases Mariah about Tanaka crushing on her and Mariah acts like she doesn't know what Stella is talking about, all the while she has this huge smile on her face and acting like a pre-teen who found out the cute guy at school has a crush on her. 4) Mishka is going through Mariah's lingerie and she asks Mariah why she doesn't wear these? Mariah asks how does she know if she wears it or not? Mishka says she thinks M should wear it out for public outings like lunch/dinner. Apparently it's also fit for breakfast outings. Girl. Now we know who put the "bra out" era into motion. 5) Mariah tells Mishka she wants to talk about that scandalous photo she posted and tells her she's not mad but she wants to see pictures before they go up. Mishka keeps arguing that there is nothing wrong with it because Mariah looks great in it and her ass looks in great shape and it's a great photo so she doesn't understand why Mariah would want to keep it to herself and not share it. Mariah says everyone is having a drama fit over it, Mishka still keeps arguing there is nothing wrong with it and that it's a great photo and keeps buttering Mariah up, that works pretty well on Mariah and so Mariah doesn't say anything more. 6) Tanaka is out and about in Paris with Mariah and her entourage and he's in a robe. She's buying clothes for Tanaka and fixing his dress. "Mariah is a tough woman that I see myself with" - Drama-naka. Go home boy. He also does not look happy seeing Mariah in that wedding dress 7) Mariah and Monroe both look gorgeous in the wedding ensembles. The dress is so gorgeous, I can't get over it. 8) Stella comes yelling at Anthony because the ass picture has gone "viral" and that's a good thing so Anthony has to go tell Mariah that. Stella thinks Anthony shouldn't question her judgement and that since Time magazine did an article (25 reasons why Mariah's insta is better than yours), so that means Mishka is doing a great job. Mariah also agrees with Stella and asks Anthony why is he always messing with other people's kids and that she was right to hire Mishka? (Playfully.) I'm here thinking like it's fine because it went viral? M is this for real? Is this what it has come down to? 9) It's Stella's birthday, James is here too. 10) Prince death news. Stella says they have a show to start but at the moment Mariah can't stop crying. Mariah comes on stage, talks about Prince and holds a moment of silence for him. 11) Vodka launch party. James actually looks a lot better on video. He seems sweet too, Mariah thanks him for coming to the show and says she's sorry she was such a mess on the show because of Prince's death. James assures her she wasn't and that she was fabulous and blew everyone away. She then says she wanted to dedicate "Hero" to him but thought it was appropriate to do it for Prince. James says "You did it for me before, darling you never have to do it for me again." Mariah then tells him he's a great person and that no one ever tells him that enough but he's a f**king great person haha. Drama-naka is out there throwing sad looks. 12) I can't with these people using "Camouflage" for Bryan two episodes in a row. Haha, "Camouflage" plays when Bryan is crying or upset about Mariah. Some next level soap opera shit right there. RibbonB I'm dedicating "Camouflage" to you.

Yes but who is going to say she did a terrible performance, everyone around her probably says you did so great. It's not like she google herself and watches her own performances. I have often thought she needed to do something drastic but I think she is to proud and she won't do what's necessarily. She probably just want to have fun and lost her interest in her career. I'm not saying you should sing perfect every time. She just makes wrong decisions all the time. She needs a reality check. I personally thinks she should loose the body suits and gowns, The bling diamonds and show her real self, but I just know she won't.

I'm so disappointed by MC lately. It's like she won't grow up and take adult decisions. The stupid diamonds, her tv show which flu is more on her co-hosts and fake drama. If this really was a documentary as she claims this would be about her music, scenes with her singing on stage and so forth. Her diva behaviour with I'm eternally twelve and that stupid boy toy is making her unlikable. And you wonder why James broke up with you? You where all over him. I hate how he smiles towards the camera, it's like he loves the attention and it makes me question why he really is with Mariah. I wish she would find a guy that wasn't memorised by the fame and was ok to be in the shadows. At least such a guy would not take advantage of 5 min of fame. Sorry, ranting big time. I just sick of it all. And where is the new music?

OK. Here we go. Can we all just get real and all agree Mariah was a great singer/songwriter in the 90s, Stella is a c**t, she has been lipping for most of her career, her voice is f**ked, she doesn't care any more and that bride should get her money back. Oh yeah (and I never thought I would ever say this), Andrew seems to be one of the few who actually makes sense on this board. Like myself he is a fan, but is sorta kinda "keepin' it real" I'm glad I'm old enough to have seen the Daydream, Rainbow and Charmbracelet tours (I even enjoyed the Sweet Sweet Fantasy gig, for the nostalgia, but being front row shows all the discretions). My husband slagged off MC over the NYE incident and for the first time I didn't have the strength to cover for her, I simply told him I loved her as a singer songwriter but didn't like the person much. With age comes wisdom (kinda).

Well, Stella is worse than Motolla. Atleast Motolla introduced the "Great Mariah" that we all adore. I don't care if that's not the "real" her. I will rather just continue watching/listening live performances of the "make-believe" Mariah of the Daydream era (or earlier) instead of the real Mariah of 2017 who can't even lipsynch for her life. I think Stella only cares about the money, can't she encourage Mariah to take care of her voice? Or hire a vocal coach?

I have to listen to this after hearing her recent gig of the young Russian couple's wedding. Where did this vocal go? Perhaps, where did this woman go? This is her best sound and technique (effortless). I can't stop wondering (though it is crazy to think) that the real Mariah has been cryogenically frozen by some mad scientists and will slay in the year 2030 and the one that we're witnessing right now is just an impostor/fake. Please bring back the "real" Mariah. Lol.

She's cracking like she has no control to her voice anymore (it's not even the so-called intentional breaks that she does a lot). And yes, every karaoke singer is better than Mariah of 2017. I'm not gonna watch any of her "live" performance or appearance in YouTube until she drops a new album with incredible vocals. I know it will be overly produced but no amount of auto-tune or technology can "mask" a damaged voice. It hurts to hear and to know that the once mighty voice that she had ended up like this.

Marissa, I once said I didn't want to see the day Mariah's voice would end up like Whitney's, but if she doesn't do something, that's where she's heading. It's really sad to watch such performances. It is even sadder that she charges much more money than she would get from a regular concert, and still doesn't deliver. I know that the people who live in "Nodules and Polyps Excuse" and "She Needs 20-day Vocal Rest" Lands would come with a thousand excuses, but this is not acceptable. I would ask for a refund. Oh, maybe it's the quality of the video, it was just recorded with a cellphone. Yeah right, how many times will we make the same excuses? When she has a production behind her she's able to pull these magical performances with all the smokes and mirrors, but things are coming to the light little by little. Will she ever address having irreparable voice issues? I doubt it, but I think it show she's just a human and people would be much more forgiving. The cat is out of the bag, or maybe we just didn't want to see it.

I think she's been drinking heavily since the NYE debacle and smoking weed (she was photographed entering and exiting a marijuana dispensary) and hasn't been working with a vocal coach and hasn't been implementing the not speaking for a day or two before performances. She slayed in Vegas and during her Christmas concerts which proves when she's focused and we'll rested she's still capable of delivering the goods. Unfortunately, instead of allowing Mariah to take a break from preforming Stella keeps booking gigs and Mariah keeps allowing it knowing she isn't ready, prepared, or able to perform to the standards she's always going to be held to. Mariah please stop drinking and smoking and start working with a vocal coach. If these horrible performances continue I'm not sure I'm going to want to see her this spring and I've already purchased my tickets and it wasn't to see Lionel. I love Mariah but if she didn't stop drinking and smoking she's never going to recover her voice fully. Did you know when you quit smoking your voice gains a octave or two?
