I Don't (72,253) by B from USA
Six million views in three days is impressive considering You're Mine has been out since 2014 and only had eight million views. She might have a hit on her hand.

Re: General public (72,247) (72,252) by Malcolm from Asia
I hope Mariah tries not starring in her music videos like what Sia and Justin Bieber did. I think in that way, people will more focus in the message of the song and the lyrics. Imagine having great actors who will interpret a Mariah ballad visually, that would be interesting.

Re: Showbiz 411 (72,236) (72,251) by Butterfly from
The Cindi/Roger connection is simply not true. Roger and Mariah's friendly relationship started because of Roger's friend Benny Medina. Cindi wasn't even working with Mariah when Roger wrote all those positive articles from 2002-2008.

Re: Jeezy and Mariah are fire (72,229) (72,250) by Licia from USA
Yeah the Hermosa video was nice. It was fun and sexy, but not awkwardly sexy like the original. When she doesn't try so hard everything falls into place. I bet that remix video was everything. Lol.

Mariah Carey Superbowl (72,249) by Danny from Uk
I'm not sure that it would work for Mariah especially based on her track record of live performances. I don't know why I can just never imagine it. I think something like an unplugged show like some have said before or even a long section on an award show such as the Oscars or Grammy would be a better idea or even a live iTunes show.

That's the best one I could think of that quickly Andrew. I'm not quick on my feet like you are. Lol.

Re: General public (72,230) (72,247) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Oh yes, a video like "My All" would be great. For me those videos were video art. But that was a time where videos were better in every way. I also agree that the cougar sexbomb is for entertainment, but all I'm asking for is a little more class, it's not like a want Mariah to be a nun. Lol. Anyway B., I love your avatar with the Daydream album. Is that you? Daydream was my first Mariah cd.

Mariah Superbowl - setllist (like Diana Ross) (72,246) by Sheila from United States
Mariah has the hits for Superbowl, the problem with Lady Gaga is the public doesn't know all those songs she sang. Mariah could open with Emotions, One Sweet Day snippet, Make It Happen, We Belong Together, Always Be My Baby and closer: Fantasy ODB version. Diana Ross did it and does not dance.

Oh I hope it's not him lol how boring? I hope it's The Weekend or Ed Sheeran.

Re: Who do you think the male artist is? (72,239) (72,244) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
It's not Lionel and it's not The Weeknd, as confirmed by Liron. Kinda glad it's not Lionel, don't get me wrong, the man is a legend in his own right but I really want it to be someone current. Chances are it's DJ Khaled and Travis Scott. But she did say it's top secret yet their studio photos have been all over the social media. But MC said something like "they'll kill me if I reveal it", makes it sound like it's for someone else's album, like maybe DJ Khaled.

Re: Mariah needs to do Superbowl (72,235) (72,243) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I think Gaga did a great job, let's not drag her down. The woman put on a stellar show. Personally I think a Super Bowl for Mariah would be very risky. Each year every performer, especially in the recent years try to out do each other and bring it bigger and better. They go all out. Mariah has some great songs that would work really well for the Super Bowl but I don't know if she can "put on a show" on the scale of the Super Bowl. Like a visual spectacle, big budget performance. But that's just my opinion. Like I said, she does have the songs that would be great for the set list and would translate great live, but if she doesn't put up a big show, people will drag her through and through.

Re: It's just entertainment (72,241) (72,242) by Webmaster Eric from the Netherlands
I think we've already answered this question a thousand times, but I will do it again. I thinks we can agree that we are all fans of Mariah, or else we wouldn't waste our time commenting on her. If we don't like a song, it's because we know Mariah can do better, much better. Not because we don't like Mariah. If we don't like her clothing, it's because we remember the Mariah who had class. Not because we don't like Mariah. If we don't like her antics, it's because we've seen the humble Mariah who we could relate to. If we could only praise Mariah here, the messageboard would be very dull.

It's just entertainment (72,241) by Geronimo from USA
Mariah Carey is one of the most successful female musicians in the history of American pop music. 27 years into her career she is doing what she wants to do and remains in the spotlight according to her wishes and wealthy according to her labor. It's hilarious to listen to people write with passionate trepidation and self righteous judgment concerning what she should do and what she shouldn't do and how she should manage her own legacy – as if she hasn't already accomplished more than almost any other artist of her caliber, style, demographic, generation and skill set. For whatever reason, she likes to play up the sexy cougar act. She is an entertainer so it is not necessary to be unhappy about her clothes, her body or her most recent song. The new song is catchy, becoming successful and that should be the only thing that matters because Mariah Carey is just an entertainer. I hope people who only have anxiety and negativity to share post after post will soon get better therapy, meet some friends, find a grown-up's hobby or find another artist to write about online.

For Mariah's other new song coming out in March? Lionel Richie?

Thank you for the link. I like the song, but think the rap is so out of place.

Parallels (72,237) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
This was a neat idea. Showing some of Mariah's signature video "moves". It shows parallels between "I Don't" and some previous videos like WBT, "My All", "ISB Pure Imagination Remix" and "ISB Orgiinal Version".

Showbiz 411 (72,236) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
Roger is extremely loyal to Cindi Berger and always has been so now that she and MC no longer have a working relationship everything time he mentions MC nowadays it is to say something negative while I know he is entitled to his opinion this more so about showing his alliance to Cindi honestly the Cindi/Mariah relationship had become stale as well and it was time to move on. This is by no means me singing Stella's praises either.

Article: Mariah at launch party for her break-up single I Don't (72,234) by Matthew from USA
Is it a good idea to publicly advertise that you bought a $200k dress and then burned it? Is it a good idea to spend another $200k to rent out a nightclub and throw a party for the launch of your new single while spending $0 on marketing and promoting? No, it's not. But you only live once, so do your thing Mimi. All she wants is to be eternally sexy, festive and 12.

Social media interaction (72,233) by David from Australia
I'm loving the constant social media interaction that MC has been doing with the fans on Twitter and Facebook lately. She said she'll release more albums in the future and that she hopes to perform I Don't on a television program but doesn't know which. I don't understand how this hasn't already been organised by her management if they really want the single to do well. I see potential in the song to possibly reach the top 20 in the US charts but it needs to be promoted. It was doing surprisingly well and some promo would really help give it the boost it needs.

Re: Showbiz 411 (72,189) (72,232) by B from USA
Roger always rooted for Mariah and praised her until Mariah fired Cindy. He's a friend of Cindy's and makes biased claims and his irrelevant opinions about her releases because of his relationship with her.

Re: General public (72,194) (72,230) by B from USA
The reviews of I Don't have been the best she's received since Obsessed and #Beautiful. However, Mariah needs to make classy sexy videos like My All. She's 47 it's time to slap some class on that ass as the execs IDJ told her after the Glitter debacle. If she's going to release singles she needs to work with Bruno, Frank Ocean, Miguel, and Happy Perez.

You're welcome, Licia I also enjoy the Hermosa video. It is simple, nothing elaborate she's having fun, the scenery is pretty, and it captures a relaxed summer feeling and a few playful jokes in the song.

I Don't video (72,228) by Mike from FL, USA
I just have to say how damn hot MC looks at the end of the video in that red dress. The shot of her walking behind the fire with her eyes locked on the camera - so hot. I personally love the song. I can say that I have not hit replay this many times on any one song of hers since Don't Forget About Us. Alas, I don't think it will go very far; of course I'm hoping for the best, but I dunno. I for one am just so happy that she is still making music and making me feel something, anything haha. She could be pulling a Janet, who puts out nothing, and then we would really have something to complain about.
