First listen experience (71,719) by Edward from USA
I'll wait patiently for the song to emerge as a whole. Snippets can definitely ruin the "first listen" experience. If snippets are to songs what trailers are to movies, I don't understand why snippets don't usually capture the real feel of the music they represent, especially if the main purpose is to draw attention to the song itself.

Jesus wept though? That bad? I look forward to hearing the full version Sunday. Still can't watch the show, but I'm sure someone will post the whole song. I will buy it if it is good enough for more than a few listens. What is the tippet title this time I wonder?

Learn to stay away from all those expected "clips" as they ruin your first listen and instead wait until you have purchased it yourself to play, or played it on her official Vevo YouTube account. First impressions matter even when it comes to music.

Re: Song snippet (71,707) (71,716) by RibbonB from USA
Well Shezz, I definitely believe Stella is the worst for her career. Just one big misstep. I hope things correct themselves AFAFP. I will wait to hear the whole song. I really do believe Mariah should finally allow others to write some great songs for her. Just take a break to focus on that great instrument and just sing. She can do her vocal arrangements and get co-songwriting credit if she needs to. Lol that is often done. There are so many awesome writers who could really help craft some great more universal songs for her. Stella and Mariah keep trying to market more personal stories, but when her life is a jumbled up ball of confusion that does not translate very well at all. Mariah is living one or three things and then promoting other things in the tabloids and on a reality show and none of it is cohesive.

Triumphanousinitippet (71,715) by Bill from the UK
Well that snippet was more of the usual bland and boring trite she's been pedalling for years now. But what was I expecting this break up anthem to be? Another I Don't Wanna Cry? Another Forever? Another Butterfly? Hell, even another The Art of Letting Go? Of course it was going to be the same tired Mariah/JD/rapper du jour formula. Jesus wept.

Wouldn't surprise me if the clip we've all seen is part of the music video, you know?

The new song (71,713) by Andrew from UK
It's sh*t. And like everything Mariah does of late, it's a lie. Why does she bother pumping out garbage constantly? She is embarrassing herself, and everybody who follows her along with it. I talked about going to see Celine, in work, yesterday. "I'm 90's," I said. "I love Whitney, Celine and Mariah." On hearing the name Mariah my colleague snapped her head and said, "I can't stand that woman." Not sure that many people can. Her voice sounds awful. Her music is boring repetitive shite. And, as a person, she is a fake plastic mess with no redeeming qualities left. Safe to say even once die-hard fans are now abandoning ship. What a load of old shite. It's not that I don't like Mariah as a person - I'm increasingly finding myself actually thinking she's a complete twat.

She could have kept the dramatics with taking that ring off. She should have given that man his ring back long ago.

Re: Song snippet (71,707) (71,711) by Licia from USA
Well because I love Donell Jones and that particular song she sampled I'm a tiny bit excited, but I can't really make a fair assessment until I hear the whole song. I don't even want to see the video because seeing her and Banaka Tanaka haming it up for attention will tick me off. I just need the audio. Lol.

Re: The rap game (71,675) (71,710) by May from Denmark
I believe you very likely know more on the subject than I do. I don't even enjoy such type of music in the sense that I don't sit and listen to it frequently or know a big amount of rappers. I should perhaps have been more specific, I know some of them are well established in the US but some needed a push beyond. But yeah, some of her choices are debatable, I loved some in E=MC2, but I also think that all the reggae made it so uplifting as well. My whole point in the end was that I don't think Mariah needs to rely on them anymore, it has become predictable, like as if she was hoping that just by keep trying the same formula she will get another Fantasy, maybe in her fantasies. Waka waka, that was bad haha. Thanks for having me patience Licia.

Re: Song snippet (71,707) (71,709) by May from Denmark
In all honesty I could care less if the song matches or not her personal life. What matters is the content. So far it's just a snippet and half of the lyrics in it belongs to another song. There's nothing else but to wait. To me this tiny bit sounded like a generic RnB piece. But it could be different as final product.

Re: Here's the clip (71,705) (71,708) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I didn't particularly enjoy the snippet, but according to some people who heard the final version, there are major differences, so maybe the snippet doesn't actually represent the final product, but just her laying down her vocals in the studio. Here's to hoping the final version will be better. I do not hear the resemblance to "Side Effects" (that song is perfection), but yes I guess we'll have to wait and hear the final version.

Re: Song snippet (71,693) (71,707) by Shezz from Pk
Even if it is a great song lyrically most lambs will not be able to appreciate any sincerety in the song because of MW. Lets just assume for argument's sake it was not scriptedand it is real (eye roll) 1. Seeing how she has been flirting with Bryan since the begining, 2. seeing how she allowed Bryan to get intimate with her on the camera (knewing it was filmed and she was engaged to get married) and how she told Stella that she did not have much time to give James when he came (but enough to party with the squad) - these lyrics are just ludicrous. Unless it is written like Butterfly from the other partner's perspective it won't make any sense. Or Stella should not have publicised it as a clapback song to Packer. I swear I still want to believe Stella has Mariah on lock the last 2 years and Mariah is being blackmailed or is in a trance and has no choice but to do what the puppet master says. Yes Mariah always had issues but theres just no way you can change so much in 2 years. This is all Stella's created mess - hate on me as much as you want. With no other manager was she even remotely like this? We need to have an exorcism. Or maybe she isn't meant to write good songs anymore, maybe she's just meant to... exist.

Re: I don't even get excited anymore (71,704) (71,706) by Roh from PHILIPPINES
Why still here? If you are disappointed with her so many times and just hearing a snippet already judged it as a bad song, I think you need to ask yourself What I am doing on this site? Why I am still following her? You are spreading negative energy here. If you love her, then stay and support her.

From that snippet alone, I'm not excited and already can't take the lyrics seriously.

She has disappointed me too many times with these horrible singles. I heard the snippet. I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's not good.

New song (71,700) by Haiji Toro from USA
Wanted to post so much about my opinions, but most of you guys can relate and have express how I feel, so no need to follow through, but I did come across this YouTube preview of what's supposedly her new song, seems OK so far but sounds so much like a line from "Where I Wanna Be" by Donell Jones. Hope it's a great song overall. Btw, 3 separate YouTube subscribers have been posting almost every single Mariah song releases, ep form, with official and unofficial versions from the beginning of her career up until her last album. If interested, check here, here and here.

Andrew I just adore her. Mariah, Whitney, Celine and Toni Braxton were my vocal saviors growing up. I'm so jealous and I hope you have an amazing time.

New song snippet (71,696) by Shezz from Pk
Here is the link of the australian site that has the new song snippet with M singing in the studio. Don't know if Eric is going to post it, I'm sure it's gonna be everywhere soon. Too short to have an opinion on it, the chorus apparently samples Donnell Jones.

Ok, let's talk MC's relationships (71,695) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
Alright, so this whole James/Tanaka situation is kinda embarrassing for most Lambs (as a general statement). After seeing Mariah's World, I think we can all conclude that James Packer was a weird attempt at being a "power couple" opposed to true love (I believe Tommy and James served the same purpose for Mariah). This Tanaka thang, well, my personal jury is out after seeing it all on TV. (Personally, Mariah has a hell of a lot more connection and chemistry with Anthony, who is tragically no longer on her team. Stella also seemed to dislike Anthony a lot while loving Tanaka for no specified reason. Side rant: Mariah teases Anthony "I am suppose to buy you breakfast" in last weeks episode of MW, meanwhile she's buying some injured second lead dancer a full wardrobe and not sending him back home after injury like any other dancer in the world would have and should have been.) SO. Who are everyone's top three guesses as to who Mariah's top three true loves have been (if any)? I believe in order: Derek Jeter, Luis Miguel and Nick Cannon.
