Girl, it's a "docuality" show, fake stuff documented as reality, lightly sprinkled with show footage. Did you read that Elle recap I posted yesterday. Mimi L. that guy has you beat for his snarky observations. But I can't wait to read your recap, the follow up with his after tomorrow's episode.

Bryan and Mariah (71,271)
by Gigi from USA
| |
|

I know a lot of us think the relationship is fake, but does anyone think the relationship is real? I want to believe it's a real relationship, because I can't bring myself to believe that Mariah would stoop so low just for ratings. However, I don't see any evidence outside of Mariah's World or public events to support that it's real. Mariah is a very touchy-feely person and I haven't seen them hold hands, kiss or embrace each other since those Hawaii pictures. Bryan always seems to be walking in front of her or somewhere off in the distance just so we know he's present. There was no denying she was into Luis or Nick. Heck, she even held hands with James on occasion lol. It's all so strange to me.

Ribbon B, I can't with your hawk eye. You miss absolutely no detail. The possibility of a re-shot finale is just frustrating. It's evident from the show that a lot of the scenes are re-shot. And yet it's a docu-series, not a reality show.

Stella is not going to let M. out of her clutches any sooner than she has to and all the rest are their to ensure the stay is as long as possible, they are like Crustella's tentacles.

I do not think people should be moderating what they want to write based on someone else's gender. That's absurd. This isn't the Victorian era. Also when you say this isn't the UK, are you referring to the bloody Internet? The Internet isn't the USA either, just so you know.

Mariah was sounding amazing during the Charmbracelet tour. Her demure vocals on the album were the result of label meddling which resulted in critics claiming her voice was shot as a result. She's proved she's still The Voice. Sure it's not the same as it was during her prime but when she lays off the splashes, works with a vocal coach, and doesn't speak for a day or two before performances she's still able to slay.

Oh Stella is there. If you look at the pics on Daily Mail, the other hired help Liane is also there along with the entourage and body guards. From the looks of Roc and Roes outfits perhaps they are redoing some of the prior footage as they shoot an alternate ending. The kids previously wore those outfits on the MW filming.

Nope, they are also in London. Mishka posted 3 photos of her getting on the private jet to London. When Stella and the crew is gone, Tanaka will also be gone.

I hope so. Despite the NYE debacle Mariah is still global megastar and she needs a manager capable of managing an artist of her caliber. I hope Stella is demoted to overseeing their production company Magic Carpet. I hope Mariah decides to only direct and compose a new song for the three movies because she needs a director like Lee to direct her or her vanity gets the best of her (being shot with different lighting than her costars in ACM).

Cat-fight and Mel B (71,258)
by Edward from USA
| |
|
|
Even though having a cat-fight requires the use of long pointy nails, I don't think it would be nice having a cyber one here on MCA. Andrew, leave Mimi L. alone, the messageboard has gotten a nice different flavor since she started posting a couple of years ago. Always remember she's a young lady, and you're a man, so have some manners. I don't think Mel B was being shady though, I think she expressed what many people think. The thing is that this is not the UK, and she didn't put any make up on her comment, so many would think she was being a hater, but that's her opinion and people would react to it with other opinions positive and negative. The reality is that even though we, fans, know Mariah can still sing, the general public thinks she's just smokes and mirrors. Why? Because she's always been terrible at lipping, and she has had far too many "performance-gone wrong" moments in her career in which it has been evident she was lipping, most of them have been happening after 1996. Many other artist have gotten away with it, but, unlike Mariah, they did know how to mime for their lives. Whether they were her fault of not, these Mariah moments are put out there for everyone to see. I think it's time for Mariah's team to pay attention to details from any possible angle. Good managing would have a plan in case to mitigate any possible mishaps. An unplugged EP with a few of her less known songs would be great idea. "Help Me Make It", "Andy's Theme" and "Almost Home" let me know that when she put herself into it, she can give us decent and great vocal delivery. Fans know she doesn't have anything to prove after such an extensive and enviable catalogue, but the people at large who would potentially buy her music think she does. At this point her remaining fans are not enough, she needs the casual fans, and people who would buy the music because it's great, and not equate her music to her image and diva reputation.

Two things that are wrong. 1. Mariah sang We Belong Together live at the Blueprint Special 2005. The whole special was live so slow your roll. She also sang it live on the MTV Music Awards. As much as most think it must be lipped because its so good, the audience, Mariah, and her crew tell a different story. Since no one can prove otherwise, claiming she lipped it is simply an opinion and not a fact. 2. Mariah was supposed to sing a remix as opposed to the original version of "Boy". They had some equipment failure on their end so she had to lip the regular version on the spot instead of what she actually rehearsed. The Boy version they had was the extended version with a high note at the end which was not on the original edit. She had talked about this in interview at the time.

The comeback(s) and the preoccupation with Mimi (71,256)
by Randy from USA
| |
|
|
So, as one of the perceived negative ones on here, I wanted to wait for everything to die down before I offered another dissertation. I think MC still has a comeback after this. See I thought her voice was shot after the painfully dreadful and/or mediocre 98 performances and the lipsyncing performances of 99-00. But she surprised me with the Glitter performances. Once again I thought her voice was shot after the performances throughout Charmbracelet, TEOM, E=MC2 and MOAIA eras where she was singing verses and lipsyncing the dramatic climaxes. But she surprised me with the Jimmy Fallon impromptu performance. So I think something else to shut me up will happen. I also think if she came back from Glitter, she can came back from this. Today I was listening to the Daydream album and somewhere, in the middle of When I Saw You, I thought, yeah I can forgive this woman almost anything. I dare some of you go back and listen to the back catalogue. It almost makes up for Stella, earpiece excuses, Mariah's World, lip syncing, Tanaka and boobies.

I know why. I thought it was the dumbest reason ever too. It's because everyone and their brother released a song with the same name. Shakira had a song called The One that was out, so did the Backstreet Boys, Nickelback, Mandy Moore, and there were 2 others. If the song is hot it should be given its shot, what's the big deal if other songs have the same title? Best song wins.

Andrew's opinions is now representing society's opinion? I'm "proper" scared. "Bloody hell." Also you can take that finger you are holding up and shove it in it's rightful place, your nose dahlin', your nose. Oh come on now Andrew, the number of times you have asked me to put my picture up, people will say you're in love. And like Edward has so kindly explained to you before, I have had it as my display picture more than once. Can't help it if your short term memory keeps forgetting or you pretend to forget just like you always "forget" whether I am a girl or guy even though I told you and many others told you the same thing. And nope if Ed Sheeran would have said something that made sense without making assumptions, I wouldn't shut his opinion down either. You know better than to accuse me of always thinking Mariah is right, because you have been here long enough so see I always criticize her when she's wrong. But then again when do you ever make sense right?

Haha. I'm holding a different finger up now. Guess which one? Once again, you read what you want to read, that which gives you an opportunity to respond. I'm not hurt Mel B is being attacked, society is hurt by your petulance. She is simply not the most irrelevant of the Spice Girls. It's not factual. The only more high-profile Spice Girl, that there, potentially, currently is, is Victoria Beckham. If Ed Sheeran had said that he thought Mariah's performance was awful, I have no doubt that you would have labelled him rubbish and awful and a ginger, despite the fact he is currently No.1 and No.2 in the UK. It's really immature. I'm not hurt by your attack on a Spice Girl, society is hurt by your spouting rubbish. I'm also quite careful with how I word things so if I put opinions forward as fact please relate which ones. But make no mistake: facts are facts because they are facts, not matters of opinion because you decide you don't like them and want to frame the conversation in your own fantastically warped view of the world. Put your picture up, "Mimi L.", seeing as pictures are fair game to you lol. Come back to me when you put your picture, your name and your location up and stand behind the things you say. Because all you are at the moment is a pathetic, crazy fan-girl who hides on the internet and can't face the harsh realities of the real world. Try it. Spice up your life.

I very much know what you mean about Mariah being in her head and paying attention to what she sounds like. This is probably the most concentrated that I have seen Mariah during a performance. It is a shame to me that more recently, she cares more about how her hair is falling over her shoulders as opposed to how she sounds. I hope Mariah comes back with a string of smaller, more intimate performances like this where she is clearly in control and refuses any offers to do Times Square, Superbowl etc etc.

Well, most Infinity uses pre-record in that instance. She doesn't sing along with a substantial portion of it, either, i.e., the technically more difficult parts. Thus, I'm not sure what your point is.
