Well it's nice to see your humble with your response George, some people on here get really defensive and start curising or even worse become vulgar because you don't agree with there opinion. Your response was refreshing. I do like the song but I respect your opinion, sometimes the passion in us ignites some anger. You've let it out and should never not be honest, at least you have reflected and explained your side wisely, I respect that. I think most of us have flown off the handle in regards to Mariah's antics from time to time, were only human. Just don't become consumed with bitterness or hate like some people have expressed about Mariah. I see no point of following her if you reach such depths of anger on a daily basis that you resort to sexual prfofanitys such as dildos, that's just well extra and way over the top.

Another #1 (72,160) (72,173)
by Edward from USA

I think Mariah can still get another #1 hit if two things happen: First, the song have to be great and radio friendly. Second, she would have to collaborate with a very relevant artist who would demand things to be done right, and not half-cooked or rushed.

What advice would you give Mariah? (72,170)

Knowing we all love Mariah and we have so many strong opinions and thoughts about her and on Stella, her career and personal life, what advice would you give Mariah? Just thinking about keeping it simple and honest.

I am here because I have been invested in MC since 92 when a friend of mine gave me her first cassette and I never returned it. Lol. She was so amazing and untouchable back then that I just can't get my head around why everything is crazy now. I didn't mean to vent like that, I am just upset.

Current era in music (72,168)
by darrian liu from taiwan

Somehow, you don't need talent to be played on radio these days, but I think an increasing number of young people (including me) are starting to appreciate and prefer talent over buzz and sex. Adele is one example. Another example is one of my favorite acts of all time, Twenty One Pilots, which has a huge fanbase (most of them are my age group, 17-25) and they're insanely talented, vocally, lyrically, and melodically. I think more young people are fed up with the plastic trash on the radio (out of 10 songs on the radio, usually I would only enjoy 1 or 2). This means classy and talented acts will dominate soon, which means Mariah would have a chance at recapturing her crown (that is, if she puts her talent over her tittays instead of otherwise).

Video is not bad but not stellar (72,167)
by Randy from USA
| |
|
|
And just like I don't hate the song, I don't hate the video. I just don't understand why she feels the need to try so hard to be sexy. What is she going through internally? I mean you can't deny she looks great in the red dress and the black dominatrix ensemble but in that back seat she looks like, someone said it already, soft porn. Why is she rubbing herself? Does she know she's a almost 47 year old mother of twins? I hate to echo everyone here but if you wouldve told me in 1995 she would be doing this at damn near 50, I would've laughed you out of the country. But I would have never believed Trump would be president either. Maybe we're living in an alternate universe. Somewhere there was a stoppage of time and nearing the edge, oblivious we all fell right over.

Is that a serious question? It's called payola. They stay on charts as long as the label or artist is willing to pay for that chart position.

Not true, remember Britney Spears, Brian Wilson from the Beach Boys, Steve Perry from Journey, there are certainly plenty of others but then you're right; those are other examples of artists who were damaged and somebody moved in prescribed the right drug cocktails and then took over their lives, careers, and bank accounts.

So Andrew you know what I think then? You must be highly intelligent to be able to do that. Next time I use my own mind I'll remember to check that it's ok with Andrew. Go back to the playground little boy, and let people have their own opinion on something. If you don't like the song fair enough but stop trying to push your opinion onto everyone else.

Well hope is all we've got left but I can't see how things could evolve in the right direction though. I mean her voice is shot, she keeps on surrounding herself with toxic people and she seems unable or unwiling to re-invent herself. All she has to offer right now are poor projects like MW, uninspired songs and trashy videos. Glory days are surely not ahead.

Deedre I didn't think anybody liked it. I've never heard anyone praise it or even mention it. That other remix I just act like it never happened. Lol I'm glad you mentioned the Hermosa remix because I don't think I have it. Mimi L. I knew she told him to stay back and edit it, but I didn't know she went back and shot more scenes. I still would love to see it. She might as well put some unreleased videos in with those unreleased songs we all want. Package it up and sell it. Stella is always harping about money. That would make alot of money.

First off, I'm actually pleasantly surprised that I Don't has stayed within the US iTunes Top 10 for almost a day now. No shade there but really, her new material usually debuts and gets into the Top 20 with any luck for a few hours and then tumbles down and out of the charts the next day or two. I hope radio picks it up and that it gets a lot of streams on Spotify because we know that's what really matters now and abomination of a video is not gonna do her any favors. I could hardly imagine anyone hitting the repeat button after sitting through that awkward touch-fest that could easily pass for soft porn. Watching it felt like seeing your mom / aunt / sister / cousin (depending on how old you are compared to Mariah's age) doing the same things she did in the video in public. Granted, it's not like she full-on pleasured herself on camera but for a woman who came out with Vision of Love, she sure has come a loooong way. When Madonna was around her age, she was already barely pulling off a hot pink leotard in the Hung Up clip. But that was then. And it's Madonna. She and Mariah are different artists. You know how Mariah glosses over the Glitter era like it never happened? I'mma do the same for this poorly edited cheap compilation of shots of unnecessary body/hair stroking, in/on-the-car- fidgeting and supposedly come-hither looks that fail to seduce but instead ask, "I'm still hot, right? Right? Right???"

Maybe AIWFCIY lacked on airplay. It definitely had some pretty good airplay but I guess it's not as strong as the top 10 songs last December. Honestly that song is the only one that have a chance at #1 because I don't see that she can still achieve that for her future releases. I think she can probably reach top 10 but that's it.

No celebrity in their right minds would hire someone who has no experience as a manager, no matter how trashy they are. Even trashy celebs would be scared that Stella will lower their image further and live on their dime.

I love that remix and I remember Mariah said that even after she injured herself, she told Nick to stay back (when she was being taken to the hospital) and to finish the shoot, she also said she went back the next day and shot some more scenes. That's why it surprised me even more when she decided to trash it and never let it see the light of the day.

It's interesting how sometimes some songs show up on iTunes charts all of a sudden. Today we have Makin' It Last All Night at #14 in Saudi Arabia and Crybaby at #49 in United Arab Emirates. How do you think that happens?

It's true you don't need talent anymore. That's way I prefer "old" songs and movies. Except some artists. But I still have hope that Mariah wakes up from this nightmare. She just needs to have some quality time with herself and real friends without the circus. When she was in Capri she always looked so relaxed and happy.

Marissa I totally agree. Everything you said, I wonder the same. It seems like Mariah is only functional like a machine. And not "living". During the Glitter era she started to act so strange and we all know that it caused a breakdown. It has nothing to do with being free, yes maybe she doesn't care anymore. But if you doesn't care about anything anymore you have a problem. People who are insecure or got hurt too many times often "build" a parallel universe. It can help for a little time, but it's dangerous to stay there. There are so many famous and sad examples. Crustella seems to have a lot of fun to destroy the legend Mariah Carey and doesn't care of the person Mariah. She's the winner at the moment. Isn't there any trash-celebrity who can hire Stella? I have a bad feeling that she won't go for a long time.
