MW (71,036) by Lila from United States I just watched on tv this time because, at this point, it doesn't even matter. The episode was so blah. I liked hearing the fans talk about their connection to Mariah's music, the short beginning where Mariah was hanging out with Roc, and the karaoke moment. Other than that though, the entire episode focused on Mariah being lifted by the dancers (not actual practices just being randomly lifted and swung around), hanging out with the dancers, Tanaka's made up crush on Mariah, and his hurt knee. That's it and I am so serious lol. I would like to include Josefin but we didn't even get to see her and Mariah interact and hang out. Mariah just said some stuff about their past history (that we all already know) and that was it. I know I said that the last episode was a demarcation of the show taking a nose dive but I really underestimated just how right I was and just how much of a nosedive it was going to be. I don't even want to think it's another Glitter situation. I refuse to believe that's what it has come to. I honestly don't think she's firing Stella. If she's reevaluating her team I doubt Stella is one of the people who's going. As always I wish her the best and I hope this hiatus gives her peace and clarity. (Monday 9 January 2017; 2:41)

And all the best to those around them who are genuinely trying to help the situation. I am glad her industry friends have been reaching out to her, that must mean the world to her. It was weird to see even Chelsea Handler tweeting something remotely positive to MC. I notice the Brat does not chime in when they have been discussing the debacle on Dish Nation. I wish she hadn't initially been encouraging this MW mess, but maybe she thought she was being a friend. IDK what is going to happen, but I have often thought there may be a little more revealed before MW ends. More than what they have leaked over the summer. Re: Mariah (71,019) (71,031) by Special K from USA Angela, you made me shed a tear after reading your post. I'm worried too. We may have PTSD from 2001 when Mariah ended up in the hospital. I'm glad we heard from her though. Mariah really does feel like she was sabotaged and she is hurting. I'm glad she is taking a break (whatever that means though) and focusing on herself. Hate to speculate but I feel there is alot more going on with Mariah personally. Dealing with a divorce and ending an engagement is very emotionally draining. To me she never really took time to heal her heart after the split with Nick and just jumped into a relationship with Packer. I don't think James ever made her feel truly happy and that's why she was booking all those Vegas shows. Not trying to give Mariah excuses but like you and I've previously stated Mariah is human. I hope she does get some spiritual healing and continues to listen and take the advice of whomever has gotten her attention. How ironic if she is really listening to TM. Been listening to Looking In, My Saving Grace, and Close My Eyes all damn day. Focus on self and shake them haters off Mariah. We got you. (Monday 9 January 2017; 1:21)

Mariah Twitter voice message (71,030) by Anthony Carey from U.K Well... I didn't see this one coming, however what I found rather interesting is the way it was done. Mariah who we know doesn't control her own social media accounts yet she states she is taking a break from it? Is Mariah taking back some control? It's also interesting the way Mariah did this directly rather than using Stella or anybody else to post. I hope Mariah takes the break she needs and this has all been the wake up call she needed - from the start of the NYE episode I have said Mariah needs to realise the circus around her and start afresh. Mariah is far from stupid and in fact a lot more clever than she is given credit for, and after all what does Mariah say? "Through every storm, if you look hard enough a rainbow appears." Let's just sit tight, await what hopefully will be the next chapter and show only love and support. (Monday 9 January 2017; 1:16)

I mean if you are going to take a break from social media try not to tweet for at least 24 hours. She should at least take the passwords back from Stella and her kids. (Monday 9 January 2017; 0:55)

I'm sure Mariah, the Mariah we know, would be horrified at her team member going on a foul mouthed rant. It doesn't go with her brand, she always keeps it classy and vague, but then again she has changed a lot in the past 2 years. Stella seems to be in Russia, or she just felt like posting a picture of Russia. What makes me doubt that Mariah has cleaned house is that Stella and her younger kid Sasha posted a picture of Mishka and Sasha with Monroe. Maybe Mariah told Stella to move out for a few days, fingers crossed. One has to be really blind to ignore all the negative things people are saying about Stella. It's not just her lambs and her previous team anymore, the whole world, including people from the industry are talking about how toxic Stella is. Mariah is smart, I hope she makes the right decision. Better to shake off the toxic family at the beginning of the year, take less work load and relax. If Mariah doesn't have to pay for an entire joint family of the Bulochnikovs and take them on multiple vacations, she won't even need to work hard to make more money. Stella kept Mariah booked throughout because of the 10% she'll get from it. (Monday 9 January 2017; 0:20)

Another "Glitter" parallel is right before that she kinda overworked herself to prove she was going to succeed post Sony and this time, after Rockefeller, she again overworked herself for 2 years straight, doing everything from tours, to festivals, to TV shows, singles and promo rounds. It must be really hard on her. So I'm glad she is taking a break before she collapsed from exhaustion. She deserves it. At this point, I don't even need an explanation regarding the NYE mess, I just want her to be happy and healthy and at peace and be surrounded with people that love her and can take care of her. If so, I'm glad. She needs to do all the things he suggested. Take a break, surround yourself with a more seasoned and professional team, think about your next step and then come back. Simple and wise advice. I make the advice and most likely positive outcome from this advice about Mariah and her well being, as for Tommy, thank you and keep doing your Broadway stuff. When my mom bought me a third copy of Butterfly for Christmas that year the receipt said she had purchased Celine's Let's Talk About Love. I wish I had kept that receipt. Has anyone read anything about this before? Why would Columbia (Sony) or The Record Store (which was the only record store where I live which is no longer in business) do this? The purchase of that album didn't benefit Butterfly, it benefited Celine's album. I guess Tommy was determined to prove he could succeed without Mariah at not only her expense but at any cost. Mariah (71,019) by Angela from USA ( San Jose, CA) I'm glad Mariah is taking break. It's obvious to me that someone finally got into her ear and convinced her to take a break and really assess what's going on with her career. I'm just so worried about her. This brings back so many memories from 2001 when Mariah had her emotional "exhaustion" issues. It's like a repeat. You know she left a message saying she was shutting down everything and the next thing you know she was in the hospital. Mariah has been working very hard these past couple of years and she has had some personal struggles. She has been touring (Vegas, Christmas shows) along with dealing from her divorce from Nick and now her engagement with James is over. We forget that Mariah is a human being. I just love her so much. Her music has really helped me through some negative life changing moments in my life. I know I'm being dramatic but no other artist has touched me the way Mariah has. She is truly "My Saving Grace" and I will be praying for her. I love you Mariah and I will always support you. (Sunday 8 January 2017; 23:23)

Media and social media break (71,018) by Marissa from USA The more I think about this media/social media break the more I wonder what the motivation to do that is. Is she getting ready to sue/get sued by DCP and no longer wants to discuss it? Is she stepping away so she can ween Mishka off her social media and find a new social media manager? Is she getting ready to completely clean house and thus wants to reduce the level of responsibilities and involvement that her team has? I honestly hope it's the latter, but I'm curious what this is about, because it's weird for someone to take a break from social media when they were never actually posting themselves in the first place. It's not like she's doing it to regain her sanity from negative comments when she never sees them anyway. Something's up and I want to know what it is. (Sunday 8 January 2017; 23:20)

Leave those stages for the JLo's and Rihanna's of the world. If only she would go back and make a solid music album. Something undeniably good. If only she could surround herself with LA Reid and Walter Afanasieff. I know a lot of fans have been asking for that for years but just imagine a ten track album of just her and Walter. Now she needs to fully and personally check what is being put out there about her. It is beyond time to stop with all the TMZ and Daily Mail stuff. Time to see what the real media says or doesn't say. It is just a good time for a break and I'm so glad she is taking it. I hope it does last until her tour in March. Send Mishka to school. The implicit message is: "I'm at rock bottom so will record an audio message to reach out to the lambs." The older lambs will recognise this. I'm glad she's taking a break, hopefully this will involve rehab because I do genuinely believe that the problems extend beyond technical issues or an evil manager. Mariah has a self-destructive streak that has long preceded all of this. True lambs will know and accept this. She's also a survivor, I can't think of anyone else in the industry who is as tenacious as her. You don't write someone off who has achieved things of the magnitude she has. What Mariah should have done (71,013) by Danny from Uk As some have aready said, in hindsight (which is a wonderful thing), as soon as Mariah experienced problems on stage during NYE she should have stopped the performance and told the audience what was happening then made a joke of it whilst putting the spotlight on the technical department, that would have shown them. Instead she played into their hands and because it went viral due to the time of year and amount of people viewing it was history made. It's a shame as many people haven't seen Emotions live so would have been a nice moment and exposure. The positives are a well needed break and maybe opening her eyes a little to the vampires around her and also the exposure and publicity people who haven't talked about her for a long time suddenly have an opinion which could translate into sales and hype in the future.
