All her email correspondence is now being sent by Universal Records. I find it interesting that she got through Merry Christmas 30th anniversary and then this switch. Maybe that was the last Sony reissue anniversary addition being released. And now she's going to do the Universal albums so she's signed back with them? That would mean no Daydream 30. But we did get Daydream 25, Butterfly 25 and Rainbow 25. So in one way there is no need for anymore Sony reissue anniversary additions. Now she can focus on TEOM 20, EMC2, Memoirs, The Elusive Chanteuse and Charmbracelet. And possible a new album from a UMG label.

Woohoo. I hope we get some great stuff for the anniversary, after all it was the ultimate comeback of comebacks and iconic on so many levels. It's also the album I became a full fledged lamb with. I wonder if she'll remix some songs with new artists. Also I think she'll have new visuals because wasn't she doing a photoshoot with the same photographer a while back and then didn't use it for anything?

Bobby, the ultra platinum edition has 20 already which includes 14 original plus 3 platinum edition plus [Sprung] and [Secret Love] plus [WBT] remix. If you add When I feel [It] that's 21. Let's hope there's something AI doesn't know and there are more.

Sprung and Secret Love were already released in the Ultra Platinum Edition. When I feel it hasn't gotten an official release though it's been around forever. I hope we get a couple of new tracks at least that she's still saving though they'll mostly be remixes and or live versions I have a feeling.

I think Mariah left out the unreleased tracks from TEOM era on The Rarities because she was probably saving them for the 20th anniversary release. She said there weren't any leftovers from Butterfly, but we know for sure there were some from the Mimi era.

I swear I have a degree in English. Look, on MC's birthday, sorry Robert A, anniversary, I put her on shuffle and there were songs I heard I hadn't played in years. You're Cold, Your Girl, Bye Bye remix with Akon and Lil Wayne, Supernatural, You Need Me. Listening to ya'll talk about no new music, I realized MC has a lush, plentiful, diverse catalogue. Even when I consider my favorites, I have more than enough music to satiate me. And if I really am honest, MIAMTEC is awful, when you speak comparatively to Butterfly and Daydream. Caution is only a hair better. Do I want her to continue in that vein? New music is good, I guess, but I'm just not panting for it.

Funny story about how strangely, Kelly Clarkson the og lamb could be indirectly involved in starting the Vince Vance lawsuit. She covered the song (his version) in late 2020 then performed it at Rockerfeller Center 2021. Billboard did a small piece on it saying "Kelly Clarkson covers AIWFC but no, it's not the Mariah version". She told Billboard that it was her favourite Christmas song growing up. Not many people had talked about it before - then 6 months later in 2022, Vince Vance suddenly reappears after ages and files the lawsuit. Taking this conspiracy theory even further (for laughs) Kelly's cover comes out right around the time the Oh Santa remix not featuring her was released. Of course she has never stopped singing Mariah's praises so the second part is most definitely not linked. I think about it often since I heard her version years ago (i quite like it) just felt like sharing it with y'all today.

Though I don't believe much what they say now after Mariah has refused to put anything out in the last few years, this news could very well be true given the current situation. I do think Anderson Paak is not just hanging out with her, they are working together as well.

I love the pic of MC on her anniversary with bangs in her hair. She looks beautiful and more youthful. It's definitely a throwback and I hope she rocks that look for a bit. It would be a nice change from the usual style she wears.

And with Anderson Paak apparently overseeing the whole production, it could be a slick fun record. This year she will do a couple of collaborations again and then focus on pushing AIWFC again this at Christmas to regain her crown. If only she'd release Rareties 2 this year all would be well.
