I think she looks amazing and powerful in these pictures and I haven't read the Complex article yet, I will later tonight. Maybe I should have preserved my opinion until I did. I do agree with Jono that artists play with their image and should have fun with it. So I apologize for jumping. I am still creeped out by the faces and robes though and not sure what that is all about. I realized it was not skulls on the chair but the background of masked figures. Complex photoshoot (64,704) by Martyn from England, UK Everybody complains that Mariah is always too "safe" and sticks within her comfort zone, and then the minute she does something a little bit creative everybody freaks out. I think the Complex shoot is one of the best she's done in years. It's highly stylised, it's conceptual and it's different. I found it refreshing. (Wednesday 27 July 2016; 0:14)

Photos (64,702) by Mara from United States Ok guys what is this? She looks very dark and frankly these pics are unlike anything she has done before. At first I thought of the It's Like That video with the red dress and masks and illuminati looking floor. I remember Madonna on some award show with guys wearing creepy masks and it was all just so very dark and over the top. RibbonB that Bishop part is the part that stood out for me too. There was no other words spoken after she mentions she told him "Bye". Ok we can probably bring on the MCArchives chaos again and I will be grilled for this but it almost sounds like that is her "goodbye" to being the "good girl" and these images and creepy looking things in the background and the sculls on her throne chair along with the "red dress" just scream Illiminati. Whether you think it's a farse or not, that's what it looks like to me and it just really screams the theme that the conspiracy theorists say so if it's all a farse then someone is playing and this is what they want to portray. Think about it, between the massive sex sells and that is all we have been seeing with the extreme outfits and the partying non stop. Some people think Stella is with her to keep her in line. Well if that's the case, she isn't doing a great job. Every single pic or at least almost every pic, MC has a "glass" in hand. All the time. This can't be good on her body. I don't understand what is really going on. It just doesn't feel right to me. On a side note to Eric, I want to join the rest of us and say thank you for all you do and all the work you put into this website on a daily basis. If it wasn't for this and Mariah Daily which as we know has succumb to the force, we would really have nowhere to go. So thank you. Welcome to the new members of this crazy family. Clash and Complex (64,701) by Jono from USA Firstly, Mariah looks great. And relax guys, it's just a photoshoot. As artists you're allowed to be creative with imagination. She's not selling herself to the devil or anything ridiculous, it's just dress up for a concept. Some of you are ridiculous. Secondly, I read through both articles and I just want to say how great the interviewers/authors did. It delves in to what Mariah has done as an artist, but also about her as a mother and the different roles she plays in her life. I'm excited to hear that Mariah's World is still on, and supposedly premiering in the fall. I for one don't think it will be a bad move. If anything, there will be these hilarious moments that will be gif worthy on the Internet. And so long as Mariah doesn't resort to being a celebrity, which she's too smart and talented to do, she can harness the publicity and direct it towards her artistic projects. Billboard (64,699) by Giovanni from USA Mariah obviously can top Billboard with the right song. She needs good material. Her next single has to be mature and strong. And please shoot a decent video. I think Mariah could definitely score a hit if she recorded a song like "One sweet day", "Fly like a bird" or "Bring it on home". Tom is of course James Packer's Scientology buddy. Mariah is playing with fire with all this dark imagery. She looks very kiss the ring on the cover. The most telling part is she mentions her bishop called and asked if she was going to become like Elizabeth Taylor and she said no and then said bye as if she just hung up on him. Mariah seems like she has done some soul selling vs. the soul searching needed after a major life crisis like a divorce. I guess I am just happy that now we finally have a theme dahlin'. I do have a problem with her otherwise gorgeous face being altered so much. The Cohen look was one of the best looks she had this year, so I will never understand the face change. Complex (64,682) by B from USA I loved the interview and photos. I also wish she had been able to work with Pac. It would have been epic. I also love that she's once again proving she's a walking musical encyclopedia. Singing songs and quoting lyrics that most people, people who aren't Hip-hop heads or R&B aficionados wouldn't know.
