Re: Insta (64,218) (64,220) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Oh no. Mariah needs real good PR-professionals to stop this. I bet Stella and her kid tell her that this is the look nowadays and it's so cool and glamorous. Sometimes I miss the times without Facebook and Instagram.

Insta (64,218) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
The new picture on her insta posted just a while back, oh Lord, what the hell? Mishka delete that or atleast crop it. Does Mariah really approve these? I meant the picture of her sitting with her hand between her legs. Sorry for the weird description but that is literally what the pose is.

Social media disconnection (64,217) by Marissa from USA
My issue with Mariah's disconnection with the fans via social media and the Bulochnikovs stepping in is the fact that Mariah is not behind-the-scenes controlling the message that she wants to put out there. In fact, there are no messages that she tries to get out to the fans. I can understand if she wants someone else to actually post or type on her various social media channels, but that is no excuse to give up on at least thinking up meaningful messages to deliver to your fans. I'm tired of the routine of posting a photo, inserting a hashtag that states the obvious and logging off. Her physically disconnecting from social media and letting someone else post is understandable, the mental disconnection is inexcusable. For all we know, RaeRae could have been the one typing up Mariah's tweets and captions for years, but you could tell that Mariah was present with her fans and at least coming up with what to say regardless of who actually delivered the message behind the scenes. At this point, I think Mariah just sees fans as a means of getting paid and people who she can rely on to kiss her ass and blow up her ego. If she felt that connection that she once did, social media would be the last thing on earth that she would pass the buck on.

In times of this (64,216) by Malcolm from Asia
Mariah, instead of flashing your curves, photoshopping galore to achieve that 2008 body for a moment (it wasn't even a Thursday to throwback like that), and displaying your luxurious lifestyle, how about post at least something relevant, tweet that Misty Copeland who credits you for her success in ballet or how about use your musicality, your first love, to convey sympathy and inspiration in time with this reckless series of violence and brutality. We will appreciate if you at least joined your fellow artist with that "Hands (A Song for Orlando)" tribute, you know it's timely because GLAAD organized that tribute wherein they honored you with their "Ally" award recently, in which they describe the recipient of that award as "a media figure who has consistently used their platform to support and advance LGBT equality and acceptance". GLAAD CEO even said "Through her music and outspoken support, Mariah Carey has inspired and empowered countless LGBT fans across the globe." Or if it's hard for you, at least stop posting grandiose stuff on your social media and restrict the paps in times of this. I can't, it's like you and your whole team intentionally doing this, for what? For you to look bad? For the people who supports you to eventually feel ashamed that they support an artist who doesn't care with her surroundings but herself? I wish I'm wrong, I wish and hope that I can apologize later because you have something planned regarding with what's happening today because I believe it's significant for you not only because these people supports you but because it's your ethnicity. Remember what Lee Daniels said about you at the GLAAD Awards? "Mariah is one of us, this bitch is one of us." Is that so?

I thought I was the only one noticing the heavy edits. Mariah is one stunning woman and does not really need any photoshop, especially with her current body.

Re: Insta and insecurity (64,207) (64,214) by Dustbin from USA
Mishka edited this photo? The kid with control over Mariah's social media? Maybe MC is doing some career development and paying for young staff to take photoshop classes. Haha. I have no doubt some edits were done to this photo but it's not like MIAMTEC, obviously. If anyone edited the photo it was under MC's direction or PR. But it's no different than most celeb photos I see. She looks pretty.

Re: When is enough really enough? (64,211) (64,213) by ADAM from USA
While I'm a fan of her music from the 90's still, I find that her public image and way she's distanced herself from her fans and music in recent years has made me grow apart from Mariah. I think her music was honest and introspective when she worked with 2 or 3 other writers/producers at most. Post Glitter, her credits are filled with anyone and everyone and she doesn't seem to have to heart in her in music like she used to and seems to have a plastered smile on in everything she does. I feel she's decaying inside for many years now and uses her money and image to drown her sorrows. Whatever the case may be, I find I don't like the person she has become and see her becoming like Prince or Whitney if she doesn't change the course of her life. I don't blame the entourage or Stella or find that there's any one specific person or entity influencing her. I believe in life one surrounds themselves with the message they want to hear. And in Mariah's case it's truly Mariah's World. I'm just not buying into anything half baked that she's pushing. The wool over my eyes has been lifted.

Re: Stella's influence (64,209) (64,212) by G.G. from USA
Stella and her family are toxic leaches. When, not if, Mariah opens her eyes and sees the pests for who they truly are, there will be a bad "breakup". I can picture Stella posting shady things on social media and attempting to do "tell all" interviews about Mariah. That is, until Mariah's lawyers shut her up. This Bulochnikov era will not end well.

Re: When is enough really enough? (64,205) (64,211) by Edward from USA
MusicfanJ, I wish Mariah and her children the best. I'm not mad or anything. I still have her music to listen to, especially her catalog from the 90's since it was more honest and deeper to me. I think that when Mariah wrote her lyrics by herself or maybe with somebody else, her music had much more substance. When she started collaborating with four or more people to write a song things kind of changed. Mariah has the right to act the way she wants, but I don't have to like it or support it. I will support a good song/album though. I know she got it in her whether she still believes it or not. I won't spend my money on garbage like "Infinity' anymore. I know it is difficult to separate Mariah the person from her music, but I have chosen to do so. I do believe that we get what we keep supporting. As I say, I'll support good music, great lyrics, and decent videos. The rest I'll leave it to those who would buy and support anything she puts out even if the quality is not good at all. I'm still a fan, not a blind one though.

This woman does not suit Mariah. I'm so tired and bored of her. But anyway does anybody know what did she do before she became MC's manager? To copy that style, oh no. Nobody should do that. Trends come and go, but classy stays classy.

Insta and insecurity (64,207) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
So Mishka posted this on Mariah's instagram. I would like to start of by saying I think Mariah looks absolutely stunning in her candid photos and she for sure lost a lot of weight and is pretty close to her 2013 weight. So I don't understand why such heavy editing was required on this picture? I really love the fact that Mariah isn't stick thin and I feel like her curvy physique makes her more feminine. I don't understand why Mishka had to narrow Mariah down to a weight which looks even less than 2008 (where she was skinny as hell). Why the insecurity? One can say it's the angle, but there is no doubt the photo has been edited for its life. I don't understand the need to blur out the background. It almost looks like she took a stock photo of a plane and photo-shopped Mariah on the picture. I love the outfit (minus the fish nets), it's very edgy and I like me some edgy Mariah moments, but the editing needs to stop. Mariah is an exquisite beauty, she doesn't need extra help. She should think how this will affect Roc and Roe's body image since they both look up to her so much. I saw Mariah's candid photos of her getting off the plane wearing a Balmain lace up dress and she looks gorgeous. She is super thin now either ways, lay off the edits. Embrace your natural beauty. Plus hey we all edit our social media posts, that's all fine, but don't make it so obvious.

He was very actively involved and was one of their biggest benefactors. If he is no longer, it's because he is so rich that they leave him alone, otherwise he would be targeted. It is still strange to me that he still associates with them, by hiring their handlers. I just think they are a dangerous weird group. But whatever.

Re: When is enough really enough? (64,164) (64,205) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Edward everything you said, I feel the same about it. Especially with the thing that it seems nowadays Mariah is 20 and when she was a twen I always admirered her for being so "grown-up" and professional and so sweet. I although loved the mystery of the Daydream era. With the Butterfly album coming out I was of course surprised of that little "image" change but that look was just perfect. The lyrics are a dream and so on. Pure Mariah. But sometimes I don't know what to think if the new pics and "behavior". Maybe it's just fun. I always think of looking in: But they can't take my heart from me, they can't bring me to my knees, they'll never know the real me. I just want her to be real happy, we all know that money can't buy real happiness. The same with success. Not if something is broken inside. To be a living legend must be so hard. I can't imagine how to deal with it for 20 years. At age 26 she was at the pop olymp and seemed so unhappy.

Packer is not into Scientology. It's something I keep seeing around. He said in an interview about it, he said Tom Cruise invited him personally but he was hesitant, another time he was called again and he said "I went, I saw, I learnt a lot." And by "I learnt a lot" I'm sure he meant to say he realised it was a scam and all they wanted was his money. He never came back to the Scientology Church and has denied being part of it.

Yes, and it's also the same Mariah wrote the lyrics "them chickens is ash and I'm lotion", and "I got a house in Capri and my own G4 and that Benz with the doors that lift up from the floor." A real humanitarian.

Re: Love Mariah honestly (64,174) (64,189) by RibbonB from USA
Most of us who post here love and support Mariah. There might be a few trolls from time to time, lol. But love and support is not blind acceptance. She fired a team of people who said they love and support her or they quit because they were not going in the same direction. Mariah seems to have some single minded focus lately and she's rocking with a group of people that she believes are taking her there, or she just decided to roll with the money team. But you're doing your friends and loved ones an injustice if you don't speak up when you feel there is cause for alarm or concern. This group of people she is now with are continually sending up red flags, alarms and if fans to just accept everything unconditionally or without question would be careless and destructive to that loved one. But both sides do create balance, so until Mariah decides to get off this boat upon these rocky seas, then voices of dissent and acceptance might be just what she needs. If she got nothing but "yas queens", she could be sailing off into the sunset of Stella's mess or scientology with JP, or who knows what. If she had nothing but "oh hell no bih". She would really be in trouble too. The problem she has with extremes is balance also creates stagnancy and confusion among fans. Tug of war is a messy kind of thing especially if one side gets too tired, or stops caring. An artist needs to stop playing games, or at least make it not so evident. Lol to paraphrase Eddie, Mariah's prior dancer/choreographer, let's hope Stellar doesn't sink the ship before Mariah makes her big comeback.

Re: Love Mariah unconditionally (64,184) (64,188) by Martyn from England, UK
Totally with you on this Licia. I will love her music unconditionally, because in my opinion other than Charmbracelet her musical output has been consistently brilliant. Mariah as a person? I go through phases. At the moment, she's annoying me. Something seems off/weird again, but I always find that this behaviour tends to come in peaks and troughs. We are definitely in a peak and I'm more than ready for a trough.
