Nicki was also really popular back then and even though I am not a fan, she really isn't irrelevant. The shooting thing was too much, I'll agree with that, it's not something that she should have said. My main issue is Mariah needs to at one point just let things go and not give it so much attention because at the end of the day she came out on top, so she has no reason to be catty all the time. Giving it any more attention is making her look bad because the others are taking the high road. Others being Nicki, JLo, and all the others. So even though some of them are at fault, people will still sympathize with them and think Mariah is the one who is always throwing shade. (Tuesday 9 August 2016; 0:41)

Empire (65,083) by Giovanni from USA I'm honestly excited for Mariah being on "Empire". I hope we like what we see. I want to be excited for new music but since "Infinity" I'm not going to get my hopes up. Mariah is 46 years old, if she wants to be successful again she needs to be making the best music she possibly can. She needs another "The Emancipation Of Mimi". "The art of letting go" could have been an even better era than Emancipation, but everything just seemed to go wrong for her. And I still would like to know why she changed the track list. She had absolutely no business being a judge because she isn't a singer. She is ghetto, obnoxious, disrespectful and no longer relevant. What little career she had is over. I can't tell you how man times I heard Drip Drop and I wanted to jump out of a window. Lol. My favorite singer on the show is V. Bozeman. This might be the last season of Empire the way this show is progressing into massive nonsense. I mean, it's still fun to watch at times, but it's a joke too. I might get hate for saying this, but I just don't think Mariah is interested right now. JD made a comment a while ago about a certain time when family and whatever other personal life become priority and I really feel she likes her life the way it is. He's on point with that. She feels she's earned her stripes. Being able to tour on her terms and do other stuff etc. I'm not saying she doesn't want success, I just don't think she's as obsessed with it now as in the early days. And I don't see the Marilyn Monroe thing going anywhere. (Mairlyn took a public beating for her image too, she was popular but also faced a ton of opposition and scrutiny for being "too sexy" and or a "dumb blonde".) Mariah enjoys her image. I guess I'm just weird, in that I can't be angry with her about it. There's absolutely no point. I'd rather enjoy my life. Lol. But then, I also have learned to stop worrying/thinking about the public too. Mariah is gonna do what she does. I just don't see her going an "Adele" route or even "toning it down". I at least hope it's a good song that "Kitty" comes up with. I hope Cookie interacts with her character and a few sparks fly. A scripted show is the time for drama, cattyness and silliness. Lol. From all the petition, the rants, etc., I guess I can say that we already did our part as a fan and proved different points. It's now time for her to take action or response from all of this if that "my fans are very important to me" is true up until now. I'm at the edge and really want her to turn it around. Whoever this person she is now is gross and I don't recognize her. She seems lonely and is putting on a front so that the works thinks she has fortune, looks, and love. I don't buy it. At the beginning she was just amazing, so sweet and so unique. There was definitely magic in her eyes and her smile. Just look at her "old" interviews. That was her real character. When Mariah was shy she was the sweetest person on earth. Then she became a princess but there were never "moments" were you feel embarrassed. Maybe she got hurt so much that she started to create that Mimi-character which reminds me of a cartoon. But anyway does somebody know what happened to Camp Mariah or the Fresh Air Fund? As I said before, she's going to have a rude awaking if she doesn't do something to come across in a way people could relate to her or at least to her music. She says her fans are important to her, but when most of us that have been supporting her for ever don't feel that, it should be an indication that her reality is definitely distorted whether it is on purpose or not. I know this sounds strange from one of her biggest fans for the last 22 years, but I'm afraid that is the only way Mariah wakes up and wonders what went wrong. Maybe only then she realizes she's not relatable anymore and that's why she lost so many fans. She still says her fans are important to her, but I really doubt that. On another note, maybe if Mariah would support some charity the way Sting, Bono and Princess Diana did (and by that I mean not only accepting some award but travelling around the world and talking to world leaders about rain forests, landmines etc), without personal gain, maybe then Mariah would be liked more by the general public. Through the years I noticed the little changes in her personality but it wasn't that drastic of a change as it has been lately. It seems that she has gotten worse with age, and I always hoped that by becoming a mother that she would mature, when in fact it seems to be getting worse. It's heartbreaking but I find myself repulsed by this "new" or different Mariah. I guess this lavish lifestyle has finally gotten to her head, she seems more conceited, self centered, and arrogant then ever. It really is sad. I hate that this has happened. Is this the real her? Was she always this way even from the beginning? Who knows? All I know as a fan now I am barely hanging on by a thin thread, one more disappointing album or more immature incidents and she might lose me as a fan for good. Not that she will care. Pettiness: in reverse (65,064) by Edward from USA While many look for a thousand ways to justify Mariah's pettiness/cattiness and complains about what she went through while having a regular job that paid her what most of us won't make in our lifetimes for just sitting pretty and expressing her views, a job that if we're honest she didn't do that well, I don't understand the use complaining and whining about it, it is ridiculous, and it says more about her than them when everybody seems to have moved on. Especially when Mariah had always taken the classy "I'm not addressing you" attitude back when she was really popular. Mariah always kept things classy. Oddly, as she gets older, her attitude becomes more juvenile. I just hope there's something left when her bubble bursts because this Mariah, that in my opinion can't hold a candle to 90's Mariah, and not talking about the voice here, seems to be mentally aging backwards. I remember when fans believed and defended with teeth and nails the story about the magical push-up bras female fans kept on looking to achieve her size but never found. Mariah one day has normal boobs and all of a sudden she found some magical push-up bras that made her breast 10 times bigger. Just because Mariah said it or did it doesn't mean it is ok. You took your 18 million and could've done something about it if you wanted to, but you didn't, then shut the f**k up and go on. You're supposed to be a legend not a trashy reality TV star. If somebody is advising her that this type of attitude is what's going to give her a monumental comeback, she'd better think twice. People who know her on a personal level might like her, but most people hate this persona she portrays to the General Population. You're not Marilyn Monroe, these are not the 50's, wake up while you still can. Then we'll be sitting here looking for a producer to blame, a manager to crucify or a record label to demonize when her next project flops. And this is not about the quality of her music, she could have a wonderful album, but these days attitude/relatability and perception is very important. Sorry for the rant. AI Shade (65,062) by Mirage_Nunez from America Oh okay so it was Lazaros (the guy with the speech impediment) that spoke out against MC's AI shade. I was thinking it was Devin the whole time (he's the guy Mariah loved and really believed in), which would've surprised me. Anyway I'm not surprised at how harsh and biased Lazaros statement was because he's shaded Mariah before in the media. I believe he's had it out for Mariah ever since her last critique of his Carpenters performance when he didn't change the key of his voice when the key changed in the song. Anyway I agree with both sides of the argument. I believe MC has every right to speak her truth on the AI experience. However, I also think that she should add American Idol to her "do not ask me about" list at this point in her career, because other people will only see that she's complaining about making a fortune. As a fan I feel and agree with her sentiments though Nicki's attitude was foul and the producers did seem biased and catered to her attitude, because they felt she would bring in the ratings. Boy were they wrong. Anyway letting go ain't easy Mimi, but you have to shake it off and rise steadily sailing out of their reach. (Monday 8 August 2016; 16:21)
