Re: Stella's resignation (62,887) (62,898) by Shezz from Pk
I completely agree that Mariah is responsible for whatever is happening not Stella. As for Stella I think she's completely supporting and promoting this new Mariah and thinks she's doing a fantastic job at it so why would she ever resign and deprive herself and daughters of the mansions, travels and the publicity. She clearly subscribes to "any publicity is good publicity". This period will last until and if she gets married to James. Hopefully.

Re: Rihanna (62,863) (62,897) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
While I still feel that it has topped the charts more than anyone, maybe even RiRi herself, might have expected, Work can attribute its success not only from its singer's appeal, but its polarizing quality. In the music scene, polarity is a good thing because it means people are talking. That's way better than indifference, which seems to have plagued Mariah's releases since #Beautiful, along with ageism, of course.

Fashion (62,896) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
For me I feel MC needs a new team on the style side one that can mix things up with sexy, glamour, and fun and flirty. Even though MC has never been known for her fashion sense and appeal if she wants any chance of competing in today's industry her entire presentation has to be top notch. Just like she took the time to switch up her perfessional team it would not hurt her to switch up her style or her team of stylists with her next era.

How you know something is really wrong (62,895) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
5. When you google "Mariah Carey" and the top search results include terms such as "too tight", "wardrobe malfunction" or something that even 90s Mariah would never have expected to be in the same sentence as her name today - "nip slip".
4. When #4 happens pretty much every time - more often than what you would expect or want from someone of her stature.
3. When neither the adorable pics of her with Dembabies nor her music (yes, not even the incredible music) aren't enough to balance the negative press she gets.
2. When, even in this highly visual age, not a single one of her music videos over the past six years has entailed an iota of creativity or decent storyline of any sort.
1. One poster here got it really right when she said that if "notoriously supportive" lambs (yes, like I am) suddenly start coming out of the woodwork to criticize Mariah, that's (caps) when you know something is really wrong.

New pics (62,894) by Licia from USA
From the pics I saw it looked like she was holding her jacket. Maybe I'm wrong. I really hope she was holding the edge of her jacket. Lol.

Re: Mariah's $tyle (62,889) (62,893) by 123 from USA
Yes, the real person in Mariah's camp that needs to be replaced asap is not Stella, it's Mariah's stylist. She needs a new one, yesterday. Why is there a new nip slip article like every other day? Isn't the stylist supposed to make sure that doesn't happen? I don't think that this is on purpose as that would be extremely tacky and desperate. I know nothing about fashion but I know when something lacks.

Ok, I was going on memory only. Both videos when she is holding the pen and writing as I recall. Hopefully it was nothing, maybe just the way a diva writes. Lol.

Style malfunction vs. midlife crisis (62,891) by Natalia from Italy
For me there is a big difference between someone who needs help styling themselves properly, and an all out midlife crisis. On the occasion that she does manage to pick a outfit that stuns us all. It's a magical moment, but that seems to be touch and go. It would be difficult to know for sure if she truly was having a midlife crisis, since none of us know her personally. I have doubts that is the case, but now that I have had time to ponder over it, I would admit, anything is possible.

Re: Hand - Angels (62,888) (62,890) by Mariah from Us
This hand problem clearly started when she dislocated her shoulder back in 2013. She has nerve damage, I'm just now starting to see it. I never paid too much attention to it but now I can see it, in all her interviews she holds on to her fingers because they tremble. .

Re: Mariah's $tyle (62,883) (62,889) by G.G. from USA
I love Mariah, but she needs a good stylist of staff at all times. She's super rich, yet she dresses so tacky sometimes. Image is everything in the music business today.

Re: Hand - Angels (62,874) (62,888) by Susana from USA
I just rewatched the Angels Cry video and I don't feel that her hand is doing that. I think she was just readjusting her ring with her other fingers. On the Hero update, what part of the video?

Stella's resignation (62,887) by Andrew from UK
The constant over-the-top attacks upon Stella are at fever-pitch with some people. I don't blame her for Mariah's race to the bottom as it started long before Stella bought her ticket. However, in consideration, the position of a manager must surely be: if the manager is actually advising against behaviours which produce negative PR, and is being ignored, (s)he should resign so as to not personally accept responsibility for career-ruining actions, and let the artist accept responsibility for their own choices. If the manager isn't advising against actions which produce negative PR, (s)he is morally obligated to resign anyway, for incompetence/recklessness. I don't blame Stella for Mariah's failings as Mariah isn't exempted from adulthood just because she wants to be. Yet, if Stella is incapable of controlling the PR of the artist she represents she should shake hands and walk away, and let Mariah manage herself. I, for one, can't wait to see Mariah's World, popcorn at the ready.

Midlife crisis (62,885) by Andrew from UK
Nathalia, your criticism is a little confusing given your attack on the "midlife crisis" post recently: "She looks stunning. There is no midlife crisis, she is just doing what she has always done, looking fabulous." But with increasing frequency Mariah is looking and behaving in ways which are (in terms of her PR) at best, alarming. Lingerie on television? Swearing? Where is her manager? And before the lamb chorus starts bleating the tune of "Shutup Hater (Go Get A Hobby)" you only have to compare the picture of Mariah in the "ample assets" article to the picture in the "Billboard Awards" article directly below to see that something has been lost. Whatever it is, the term "midlife crisis" is mildly preferable to "heading for another breakdown" which is starting to make the rounds.

Mariah's $tyle (62,883) by Natalia from Italy
Tight, black, and malfunctioning. Why is this frequently the case? Is it really that challenging to keep those nips of hers in check? Or is this done on purpose? One thing's for sure, when she gets it right it's stunning. Maybe we are expecting too much from her? She never has been an official fashion icon, but she truly has her own style. My wish is that she always look well put together. Diamonds are great, but you can't just wear anything, throw diamonds over it and expect it to look good.

Lee video / Kelly and Jussett show (62,875) by 123 from USA
I thought the Lee and Mariah videos were hilarious. I'm glad she is finally clapping back. Wendy has said so many lies about Mariah and has profited with ratings because regardless of Mariah's relevancy, her name is always top billing. I'm glad that Mariah is returning the favor by purposely responding to have Wendy respond and promote Mariah's new show by the not so subtle tag. Does anyone remember when Whitney finally clapped back. The Newark came out. Wendy made sure she watched what she said as Whitney told her, "If I was back at Newark, I'd meet you outside, but I'm a lady." Probably my favorite Whitney interview. All these TMZ videos catching Mariah's "candid" moments outside the restaurant, getting into a car, and cussing while talking to the paps, are all just staged press moments getting her the mileage she wants to help promote her show. I'm not mad at this new method of promotion. As long as she makes sure she attaches music with these upcoming projects. If the semi talented starlets of Hollywood and reality show personalities can do it for promo, so can Mariah. I liked her segment on the Kelly show. I just want her to stop running this shade towards JLo to the ground. I wouldn't mind if she actually went into the real reason why she doesn't like her but she doesn't so everyone thinks she is just jealous and insecure. Since she doesn't, she should just take a more diplomatic approach and keep it moving. Besides, it was Tommy who orchestrated it. She was just a pawn, if it wouldn't been her it would have been another artist.

Hand - Angels (62,874) by RibbonB from USA
I could very well be wrong, but I thought I remembered thinking her hand was off in either the new Hero, or Angels Cry video. I actually liked both those simple videos even though it has been years since I have watched either of them. I never liked Angels Cry. Not trying to start mess, but I wonder why that era was so focused on Angels: Angels Cry, Imperfect Angel, Angel's Advocate. That was never quite explained.
