Re: Superbowl halftime (59,693) (59,704) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Haha trust me Marissa, I too don't think it's a possibility but a fan can dream eh? You are right about the Superbowl performer, that the person has to put up a show, which includes dancing and pulling big performance. Sigh. The Honey-Heartbreaker remix would be great though, even if she uses it in some other show.

My Mariah vote (59,703) by David F from Mexico
I do not know why the Superbowl halftime shows are becoming more and more egocentrics, a non entertainment event, but a platform to express political issues or to draw mass attention to a new specific song. I guess that is the reason why we may never see Mariah do such thing. I will forever keep her unique rendition as one of the best, she sang her heart that day. I just hope she can have her moment there, for she is the last true classic diva that America has, and they bring again two past performes like if there was not any more talent. Organizers please.

MTV Cribs ranked (59,702) by Ardis Logic from Earth
Everybody knows MC's Crib was the best. (all caps) They just didn't want to give her another #1. Just kidding. I love watching her on Cribs. She was so beautiful, and her house is amazing. That orange candy paint on the walls is stellar.

Re: Sweet Sweet Fantasy (59,701) by Ian from United Kingdom
She has said expect the unexpected but unfortunately I think it will be the Vegas show plus Without You. If it is I'll be disappointed. If this is the case it shows she is not thinking of the fans but instead trying to cater for the masses.

Re: Mariah's personal friend Beyonce (59,672) (59,700) by 123 from USA
They were really good friends during the E=MC2 era. They were both married. Nick said that "Mariah and Beyonce text all the time". Then when Mariah was on 106 and Park to promote IBLYLT she said that Beyonce had gifted her the pinky ring she was wearing. Then of course they spent New Years together with L.A. Reid and his wife. After that it seems things might have changed. I still think she is the artist Mariah spoke of in that article who took her last album concepts.

Wendy Williams / Dr Phil (59,699) by 123 from USA
I have a whole new love for Dr. Phil. As you know, Wendy takes every moment she can get to criticise Mariah, which seems like every episode. So she brings up Mariah's parenting skills to Dr Phil to jab at her again, after she told L.A. Reid the day before "I love Mariah too" and he reminded her that Mariah mentioned her on her last number 1. When she brings up the engagement after 8 months, saying it's too soon, Dr Phil says long engagements don't tend to last. Then she goes on the criticize her for not telling her 4 year old twins yet, Dr. Phil said that 4 years olds don't have a concept yet of what's going on. You tried to get a doctor to co-sign with you Wendy but it didn't work, lol. She says the lambs are wrong about saying that she's hating or jealous of Mariah but we know she wants to be her.

That's probably true, sadly. I'll still keep my fingers crossed.

Dreamlover in Vegas (59,696) by Nick from Maryland
Just curious, does Mariah lip sync Dreamlover in Vegas? Obviously some parts are but her voice sounds fragile in other songs and then she sings Dreamlover incredibly strong without missing a note. Or is it an easier song for her to sing? Anyway, I'm always impressed. Not hating just wondering.

Mariah and working with people (59,694) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
Personally, I don't think Mariah "needs" to work with JD again. Frankly I'm open to completely new collabs that have never been done. Not that I don't enjoy what their partnership has produced, but imo there's no "problem" with letting it go and creating something new. I also think relationships aren't perfect and go through ups and downs like most things do. I don't think MC would bother making tweet references (though, I know for some it was taken as shade, but I also think it's really easy to read into stuff posted on social media) or that JD would speak as candidly if there wasn't still a friendship there. Not saying I agree with everything JD has ever said or done either, because I don't. I just don't feel relationships are not cut and dry. JMO of course, for whatever its worth.

Re: Superbowl halftime (59,679) (59,693) by Marissa from USA
I'm one of those people who doesn't think that Mariah's body of work suits halftime. Also, I think you have to be extremely comfortable performing and dancing (not just singing) to pull it off. I think she's stepping up her performances in Vegas, but we all know that televised performances can fall a little flat for her. But if she ever did, I love Mimi L. 's suggestion of the Honey and Heartbreaker remix.

Superbowl ideas (59,692) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
So I was thinking if Mariah was to headline the Superbowl, who would you want her to bring out and what songs would you like her to perform? I think as much as we love her ballads, making the whole show a ballad moment would bore people so we need some upbeat songs too. I don't know what I want yet (hence I want to hear other people's thoughts). But for now I guess I would love for her to bring out Jay-Z and Puffy and do a Heartbreaker-Honey remix mashup. And then bring out the Bieber and maybe do a WBT and "Sorry" mashup (since they are of the same theme). Or do a "Shake It off" and "Love Yourself" mashup (with a bit off, "My mama don't like you but she likes everyone, shake shake shake it off" haha, too much?). It would also be great for her to bring out a current female artist. Also spare me the "Mariah should never perform at the superbowl" or "Mariah is not super bowl's type" posts. It's just for fun darlings.

Re: Sigala - Say You Do (official audio) ft. Imani, DJ (59,635) (59,691) by Andrew from UK
I listened to the song when you posted it and thought it was great. But maybe I over-listened to it as the hook started to irritate me. Or maybe I'm just a miserable bastard. It is good though. I'm surprised she let somebody sample her. It's rare and unusual. Especially given it's her most famous hook. I can't think of a better known one. Incidentally, I've been watching out for your tattoo programme. Post a link, fam, innit.

New look (59,690) by Lara from Middle East
Yes definitely I want the brown hair back, I think blonde makes her look older, plus we might feel like having 90s Mariah back, the 20 year old one.

Re: Maxwell (59,689) by Ian from United Kingdom
Agree Maxwell could work really well with Mariah, I would also like to hear her do a full blown duet with Will Downing or BeBe Winans. Actually thinking about it a duets album at some point would be nice (rappers don't count lol).

Re: Article: Will Mariah have a statue of herself at her wedding? (59,641) (59,688) by Andrew from UK
And you think making even more of a circus out of her personal life will buy her new fans? Or will it lead to further dwindling record sales? Gee, I wonder what the historical precedent is, here.

Re: The art of letting go of former collaborators (59,664) (59,687) by Andrew from UK
You are exactly like many commentators on here, in fact, probably the worst one. You read a post or an article then make it about something other than what it actually is. Sometimes I wonder what arguments some people on here think they are winning.

Re: Maxwell (59,655) (59,686) by May from Denmark
Oh, I have always been wanting for that to happen. Maxwell is such a great singer and so hot, haha. Babyface is alright, but Maxwell has such a spark, a flare that is so unique, lot of soul. I definitely can see him doing something with Mariah that would sound truly great.

Re: The gold dress (59,676) (59,683) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
"Does Stella do Mariah's make up?" Haha the shade (all caps), I can't. Stella is getting a beauty blender as a gift from me if she continues to remain non-blended in the contour department. I agree by the way, about the eye makeup. She looks way better with lesser makeup.

Re: New look (59,673) (59,682) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Yes I feel like the brown hair would just change up her look a lot without having to make a major change. I also agree about the eyebrows. Sometimes they don't get it right.

Re: Mariah singing Rainbow (Interlude) (59,666) (59,681) by Chris from United States
I love that you posted this. When you mentioned that it "almost" made you cry, I didn't believe it. But once I followed the link, I lost all control. I am going through quite a bit of things, at this time in my life, and to hear this interlude, is just so moving to me. I think of where I was when this album came to be (at the time, just as moving), and I think of where I am now. This video did move me in many ways. It makes me feel like I can make it out of my trials and tribulations today, just as I did back then. Just another realization of how her music can really touches your soul. Thank you.
