I wish him well. His contributions to her last album were stellar but they sounded dated. She needs new producers. Producers like Happy Perez and Bruno Mars.

I watched Toni's movie. It was ok. The girl that played Toni couldn't lip to save her life.

Exactly, I kind of lost respect for him. In fact now I regret mentioning him in my post about Mariah working with him again. I remember in 2014 he said that he would love to make hit records with Mariah. But obviously he doesn't feel that way anymore. It's whatever now. I hope she goes platinum without him, lol.

Hey RJJ12. I personally am not in favor of MC doing a mini series of her life or a biopic and I don't think she is up for it either. Toni has even released a memoir, which is somewhat early in her career for that. We love Toni though, c'mon. What I did want to mention though in the first place is this: guess who directed the Toni Braxton biopic? Mr. Glitter director himself, Vondie Curtis Hall. Yep.

How do we know that the sales would have been different if the album was released earlier? That's just speculations. The fans buy the album anyway, and the rest of the world, I guess, didn't know about the delay.

They have this love/hate relationship it's so bizarre. For Wendy to stop being so shady to Mariah, Mariah would have to be the bigger woman and go on her show first. Only then will Wendy praise Mariah for the goddess that she is. Look at JLo. Did you know her flower ring that she "must" wear all the time like a good luck charm was somewhat inspired by Mariah's butterfly ring? Anyways, I want Mariah to wed Jimmy just to prove her wrong lol. No, I actually hope she pumps the brakes on that but it looks like this engagement won't be a long one.

Wendy does make valid points. Divorce, tell the kids, assess how it impacts kids, tour, Vegas. That's a lot to do before a summer wedding. God bless the babies.

Yes, you're so right. That's what I got from him too, that he doesn't believe in her anymore. It's as if he became the "they" who's written her off. If anything, Bow Wow and Usher are not gonna happen JD, stop trying to make them relevant again. Anyways, that's why I really hope Mariah's team is super tight and have faith in her. LA needs to be on board and stop trying to push Mariah to be an old lady doing classics. People still want new music from her, again, these next moves they make are super crucial. I've only read headlines but if Mariah is the most influential artist LA has worked with, she needs to be top priority.

Toni Braxton / Mariah Carey mini series (59,594)
by 123 from USA
| |
|
|
So I don't know if anyone watched or even knows but Toni Braxton came out with a TV movie about her life. It was a really good movie, nicely done, great cast, and they used Toni's vocals. It kept my attention the whole movie. I would like Mariah to do the same, except to make it a mini series like the OJ miniseries that just stated that will run until the spring. TV shows have gotten really big here in America and are more anticipated than movies now a days. Has anyone else watched Toni's movie, if so what did you think? Do you think Mariah should do a TV mini series of her life? Here is a link.

Mara, I agree with you completely. JLo's team has made sure they re-branded her as the relatable girl-next-door who made it. Someone you could have been cool with in high school. I know there are people on the board that feel "she's Mariah Carey, she has nothing more to prove". I disagree. Everyone an artist comes out they have to prove they are still worthy of the public's money. She or her camp haven't done much to change up her diva image (unrelatable) especially with all these pictures of opulence. They should focus and push the singer songwriter producer and have her talk about her creative process, especially when she made certain songs. If she does talk about her kids, instead of mentioning how they've been more places than most people, she could talk about what they are learning in school, how they are performing in school. Are they learning any instruments yet? How about languages like Spanish. Once she gets that image out there, her team needs to make sure that what they release represents this. Sorry that your daughter didn't get her bear.

Yes. But at the show everyone was standing, so the bear actually landed behind us on the cushion and by the split second we turned around it was taken.

If she wants MC on her show, then she needs to stop being such a bitch. Maybe even apologize for all the catty things she has said in the past. Which of course she would never do such a thing. I hope Mariah never does her show.

Jermaine (59,584)
by Giovanni from USA

Is tripping big time. He really disappointed me in that interview. It's as if he doesn't believe in Mariah anymore, which is sad. I guess the sales of her latest album has him feeling it's over for Mariah. Well he's wrong. I love Jermaine but he pissed me off. He should be ashamed to even call himself a "friend". Is he still in his feelings over her firing him as her manger? I mean we already know the sales would have been more had Mariah released the album on its first original release date. Doesn't Jermaine know this? Mariah is definitely still capable of having another hit song and album. With the right music and promotion she'll be back on top. Shame on Jermaine.

I'm sorry but after reading your post I was upset. You mean to tell me Mariah threw that bear, it landed on "your" seat but some other stranger got it. From again, "your seat". Talk about being desperate. I know it would be silly fighting over a stuffed animal but I still see a problem with that. But like you said, there are nice people in the world. Such a that nice gentleman you mentioned. I completely understand everything you said about JLo. I more and less feel the same way. I like her music, but I get a fake vibe from her just like I do with Beyonce. Unlike Mariah who is real, sincere and super sweet. I don't think there's another artist who loves their fans the way Mariah does. Some people tend to forget that Selena's death gave JLo her career. Especially from the movie. She's also lucky for "AI" because that's what's pretty much what's kept her relevant. She promoted her latest album more than Mariah and still managed to sell only half of what Mariah sold. Deep down I know Mariah can get another hit song and album.

In case anybody missed it L.A. Reid was on the Wendy Williams Show and talked about Mariah for a good 4-5 minutes. I think Wendy's one dream is to have Mariah on her show.

I agree M that was a wonderful moment. She sounded as beautiful as when I first heard her sing those lines on the Butterfly album. Mariah's gesture has given that interviewer something I'm sure he will cherish for the rest of his days.

Aww that video of James dancing to "Heartbreaker" is just so adorable. It's the cutest thing I saw today. I don't care if he can't dance, the fact that he is right there supporting her and busting a move to his fiance's song is everything.
