MTV Biggest voices in pop: Top 20 (61,372)
by TJ from Norway

Well, I know Mariah isn't current at the moment, but if Justin Timberlake enters the top 10, so should Mariah. I love Rihanna's music (of course not as much as Mariah's), but she should never have ended up #1 on that list. She has not the biggest voice in pop music.

Thank you so much Mimi L. It's actually funny how I started my climb to becoming a lamb. I was watching old Ellen interviews on YouTube and the one of Mariah popped up when she was pregnant with dem babies and I said to myself "I remember when this original aired" after watching the interview I started listening to Mariah songs that I knew and remembering the times in the car when I would sing them. The other aspect was the comparison to Ariana Grande which made me listen to even more Mariah songs and I was exposed to her a lot because I have an older sister (25), mom and grandmother so in the end of all that I ended up becoming a lamb. I deserve this name of lamb because I know the b-sides remixes and all the information that's required about being a Stan. My favourite album(s) are "Emotions" and "Butterfly" and my top 5 fav b-sides and un are "Do you think", "Right to dream", "Slipping away", "Everything fades away" and "Heat".

Hey Cassie. Welcome to the board. Always great to see new Mariah fans. Goes to show that Mariah's music is legendary and will continue to stay relevant no matter what. I'd like to know what exactly made you become a lamb. Was it a particular song? An album? An interview or perhaps a particular performance? Anyways, welcome to the board again. It might get dramatic every now and then (since we are all so passionate about Mariah) but do keep posting.

by Cassie from Canada

Hey. I'm new to the board but I've been reading since I became a lamb in 2015. The reason why I became a lamb so late is because I'm 13 and was 12 when I discovered the slayage of Mimi. I had always know who Mariah was because I was young in The Emancipation Of Mimi era, E=MC2 era and MOAIA era so I frequently heard/loved and sang along to songs [...]. If you have any questions for me, since I'm one of the lambs of the new generation.

There are so many B's and Billy's and M's etc on this board with rotating pix of Mariah as their avatars instead of their actual faces that sometimes I get confused as to who is whom. But I, for one, and humbly, like your recent posts.

Bianca and Stella (61,365)
by Andrew from UK
| |
|
|
I wonder about those who cry havoc at Stella because of Bianca/Bianca's make-up (I agree with the wisdom of the poster who is aware that make-up for television is applied heavily). Would JD have been told to fix Mariah's make-up? Would Randy? Would Bianca be their fault? Wait, Stella's a woman. That's okay, then. Should we all act like teenagers and portray her as a total bitch so we can be bitchy toward her and feel justified? I honestly believe this is borderline sexism and quite uncomfortable, and cringeworthy, to read.

Bianca (61,362)
by Tyler from USA

I've followed this site for a while but rarely post. I think if anything comes from the whole Bianca re appearance it's that Mariah has an abundance of young fans. Many on social media had no idea who this Bianca was. They basically saw an edgier form of MC with bad makeup. This excites me because we tend to think MC needs to cater to the younger market. She has an abundance of younger fans and it shows with the release. I am assuming the more younger fans came on board during the Emancipation and E=MC2 eras. Anyways I'm glad to see Mimi's impact on the younger generation even if they cant appreciate the nostalgia. On to the next era.

I feel like Mariah is somehow putting her music in the back seat with all the recent gimmicks and all. I mean now that we will have her marriage featured in the reality show, how is she doing something different from what Kim did? And I always liked it that Mariah keeps her private life private, that's why it irked me that Nick was always making their private life public. But now Mariah is doing it herself. Keep the wedding private. Keep your kids private. You are Mariah, someone who depended solely on your talent to set and break records for 25 years. Never having the gimmicks as a fall back net. She really does need to concentrate on her main profession and maybe see if she can get good roles in movies. But she seems to be really moving away from these. Stella if you want to stick to Mariah at least learn about Mariah's main profession and encourage her to do that instead of pulling Mariah towards your own profession and turning her into a laughing stock.

Bianca (61,360)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter

People have got to calm down with dismissing Bianca's return already. For all we know it's for a music video or a skit or heck just a private celebratory party where they all played dress up for fun. Alter egos are not just a thing of the 90s. Unless some people are clearly stuck in that era which doesn't surprise me since they only love 90's Mariah songs. If they would know about the current music scene, they'd see almost every artist now is coming out with alter egos like Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Eminem, heck Taylor Swift came with "Catastrophe". I could go on and on. So it's not an outdated idea. I am cool with Bianca making a return in any capacity as long as they tone down that makeup. But if they are shooting something then I guess I understand why the heavy makeup was necessary. They just should have maybe kept the lighting on when taking that picture so that it didn't look weird.

It's true. This Bianca "comeback" thing must be petty and just for the laughs. Bringing Bianca is a bitter-sweet for me because it does not executed beautifully. They had at least found a better wig and I can't with her face; the contour and eye make-up are so severe. I felt like it does not meet the expectations for the long wait and excitement for an epic Bianca appearance. But nonetheless, it still put a smile on my face and it's enough for now. She must concentrate with her music and create another body of work. Seriously, these things cannot earn and gain her the respect she deserves (and she wants) from the public. Time to show them that her maturity exist.

Make-up not so "pow" (61,358)
by Malcolm from Asia
| |

Agree, her face sometimes looks hideous because of the heavy make-up. I like her make up more in the Elusive Chanteuse Show, it looks natural and she looked radiant. I also observe that she smiles like this often recently that I find weird and odd. Wish that she will bring back this natural and youthful look and will not stuck with contouring and all that, she have a beautiful face, it's not really necessary. And I don't know if it's just me but I know her body is almost near with the Idol era and a killer right now but it seems like her face doesn't lose the weight, I don't know if it's because of the angles. It can be the reason why they always put a lot of contouring into her face.

Bianca / diet (61,357)
by Nikki from usa
| |
|
|
I recognize those foods - that's not a "protein" diet it's high fat and low carb. That is known to be one of the fastest diets to lose weight. It gets your body to start recognizing fat as a fuel source instead of carbs than starts chowing down on the rest of that fat stored up in your body. I was reading about that last month. The diet mainly consists of meat, vegetables, and dairy. She can have dry red wine too, which might actually help against some of that mucous forming dairy. If Bianca is back then that means one thing. No more sexy shot videos like You're Mine or #Beautiful. She's back to storylines and this could be interesting. I liked the spy concept of Honey. It would be cool to do something along those lines with Bianca from an enemy camp. Or a longer version of the drag race from Boy.

Have to agree with Andrew on this, Bianca had her day, we all saw it on the Rainbow tour and it was fun, she's a bit old to be doing this now. Only way I could see it working in her favour if it was maybe Bianca doing trailers for Mariah's World slagging Mariah off, then it could be funny.

Bianca (61,355)
by Andrew from UK
| |

Bringing back Bianca would be an awful, terrible, silly, pointless waste of time. Bianca is from a musical age of boybands and girlbands and bubblegum pop and Britney in a school tie and Dawson's Creek and a whole host of other worldly things. There's a reason the SSFT looks nothing like the Rainbow tour because it would be laughed at if put on now. So it follows that Bianca being in any video or documentary anywhere will not serve to help convince people Mariah is mature person and relevant artist. Looking around the O2 arena in London I would have been hard pressed to find anybody of an age that would think it don't anymore (except for some maladjusted fangirls and fangays on here). How about Mariah getting down to writing a few killer, upbeat party songs and attacking the charts with some music videos she puts a bit of time, effort and money into? Sans Bianca. Hopefully Mariah was just messing around in a wig for a laugh.

Mariah's face (61,353)
by Giovanni from USA
| |
|

Looks different because one she's aging, second it's the heavy make up, mascara and horrible fake lashes. Mariah should stay away from eye make up. [censored] I think Mariah has always been very insecure about her looks. It's ridiculous because she has always been a beauty. Definitely way more prettier than Beyonce or Jennifer Lopez. Have you seen them without make up? It's not pretty. I just wish Mariah would have more confidence about herself and tone it down on the make up. I've been saying for awhile now she needs to fire her makeup artist and stylist. I bet it's Stella who is both.

We can't deny that since singing with Stella Mariah's been on an upward trajectory. The Las Vegas residency and the world tour are both critical and financial successes that are reminding people why they love her. She needs to capitalize on the hype by releasing a new single asap.

I think she's wearing heavy makeup because she's filming the docuseries and touring. The Kardashians wear heavy makeup while filming and they look amazing on screen.
