You are not a fan if you don't like her work and performances, so do yourselves, and all of us here a favor, and just buzz away. This movie is a masterpiece. It's everything you could want in a Christmas movie, directed by our queen of Christmas herself. Sure it has its small issues, but that itself makes it so iconic. In fact if you listen to Celine's second album, which is a pretty good album, Mariah could have sang that whole album way better. Minus the two corny songs "Water from the moon" and "With this tear". Maybe it is the cliche not what you say but how you say it. I don't know. However, I have always been afraid to have my throat ripped out by you so I never commented or responded to any of your posts, but I do have a question. Like everyone else, I was impressed with the Merriest Christmas special. With regards to God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, which to me was the most spectacular vocal of the show, how do you really know if its lipped? (serious question) That would mean its been re-recorded and then lipsynced, and we all know she can't lip effectively, hence always getting caught when she does. There was a change of delivery and a run on the word "to" (from 0.40-0.48 here) that seemed so darn live and awesome to me. What am I missing? (Monday 21 December 2015; 16:55)

It was off and she had plenty of room for improvement. I think she also kept shaking her head a whole lot which was not necessary. But overall I enjoyed the movie as a cheesy Christmas TV movie. If you were expecting an Emmy worthy performance from the talent associated with the program you clearly have no understanding of what the Hallmark channel is about. Nostaglia. Christmas Melody (58,598) by Liz Archer from Sweden I think the casting for the movie was well done. Many of the actors are people I love to see. I really liked the movie over all, it was very cute. I hate to say this but Mariah wasn't super great in this. I get the parody of her role but it just went a bit wrong. I think one of the main things why, is that her stand-alone scenes had a different lightning and they are just that, stand-alone (one of my biggest beefs in the movie). I also think that maybe "bitchy" isn't want people want to see from her. I don't associate that when I see Mariah. I think her larger than life singer personality is so strong that it feels weird to see her as anything else or maybe its what you don't want to see. You want to see more of a down-to-earth side. I don't know, overall the movie was better than I thought. I enjoyed it. (Monday 21 December 2015; 13:03)

All those movies fall in the category of over cheesiness dipped in 1930s Vaseline on screen soft glow for face close ups. I haven't watch Mariah's movie but her acting in the trailer didn't convince me, a lot of people have actually said her acting is not very good in the movie but I can't judge because I still don't have time to sit through it. Would love to watch it just because it's her, as Christmas movies are generally utterly boring, filled with the same over the top sensitiveness and messages and terrible jokes. Aside of that, I don't think it's another nail in the coffin as you describe it though, it's a Christmas movie, I think everyone will take for what it is. (Monday 21 December 2015; 12:42)

Her face, beauty secrets (58,596) by JAXGH from United States WOW. So freaking beautiful. It has much more definition and it slimmed down. I'm assuming she had a no botox masseter procedure done since she probably over seeing her face bloated on the movie screen. This is not a shot at Mariah. Please. Most female celebrities get it for a more feminine face and it's non surgical, no harm at all. She looks honestly her best ever in the Merriest Christmas special. Like ridiculously gorgeous. Even better than 1997 MTV Music Awards or any 03, 05, 08, 13 looks. Freaking stunning my goodness. I don't know else what she does but I know uses milk and ice cubes to rejuvenate her face. Probably lots of honey facials. (She uses honey plus ginger for her voice too.) Collagen and scrubs. she has her own beauty cream, has one of the best make up artist (shout out Kristofer) and glam squad. Plus she probably learned theories of skin in beauty school. Cameron Diaz is around the same age and she looks like a disaster. Mariah literally still looks like she's in her late 20's. (early even) I think her secret power is water though, singers sip water all day everyday. Water is beautiful skin is gorgeous everything. Also since she has nodes, she must drink more than singers usually do. (Nodules make you hoarse super fast.) This is why Mariah will always be naturally beautiful. She really takes care of herself. Let's not try to drag it down because it was never meant to be an Oscar winning movie. So I'll take it for what it is, a cute, cheesy, family oriented movie. It did a pretty good job. However my hope still remain that Mariah gets a role in a major budget movie or at least gets the main song in the sound track of a major movie. Best bet for that to happen as soon as possible is of course the "Beauty and the Beast" live action movie. (Monday 21 December 2015; 9:48)

Mariah Christmas (58,594) by Andrew from UK For years I have felt Mariah has embarrassed herself, crapped upon her legacy and made me doubt what it is I feel deep down about her. A crisis of conscience. The movie is as everyone expected: another nail in a coffin. What was she thinking? When she's in it it looks like she's in her own house phoning in the performance for others to act around. Awful. Vanity madness. Where were the people telling her to drop this? This is Glitter Christmas. Fallout from this will me massive. How to defend it? Well the Merriest Christmas concert was fantastic. Okay, so she lipped. Bothersome. But she sang. When she sang, she sang. And it seems like Mariah learned how to lip better now (eye brow depressions giving it away as always). I found myself sending the links to my friends. She looks absolutely stunning - physically reminded me of the Daydream photo shoot save for the hair. No ridiculous ball gown. And she has stage presence, she looks like a diva singer not a diva actress. Shocked. I'll watch this over and over. Something to shout about. The voice doesn't sound as arid as it did thi jot perfect. Perhaps the lipping in parts hides it. And Joy To The World is something to shout about. This is the range for her. Drop these Fantasy ranges. Just sing in the range that you can and bang it out. It sounds [censored] great when you do. More than ever convinced Mariah needs to let go of the reputation for elasticity to which she is clinging on, and sing in the register she can. It's sounding pretty good. There, I said it. That was good. The movie is like watching a fat man on the toilet from underneath. The concert was kinda cool. Here's to the O2. Bring it. I need it. Peace on Earth. (Monday 21 December 2015; 2:13)

When I first saw the clip of MC's first scene a couple of weeks ago I was not feeling the acting, but now seeing Mariah's performance in context I'm actually enjoying it. So far, so cute. Love Merriest Christmas (58,590) by May from Denmark Finally had time to watch from beginning to end. I loved it so much I thought it was so short. She looked so gorgeous, I love she is back to that honey golden hair that matches her tanned bronze skin, she looked yummy like a gingerbread cookie haha. I liked all the songs choices but I was really wishing she would sing Charlie Brown Christmas, it's such a sweet song. Her pipes sounded amazing, I liked how much in control she seemed. Her dresses her divine, she is looking more toned every week and finally she changed those ginormous white/silvery/diamond earrings. A lovely show with a very pretty stage. A Christmas Melody and MC's Merriest Christmas DVD? (58,589) by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End It's been strongly hinted at that ACM is coming out on DVD last night on Twitter and #AChristmasMelody was still trending when I fell asleep at 7am CET today. The responses have been overwhelmingly positive for Mariah's 1-2 puch of a Hallmark Holiday Extravaganza. I didn't see a single negative comment and the Lambily was in rare form showing out and beaming with pride so it was probably wise to keep any grinchiness private while we celebrated MC's triumph as a director as well as her sleighing Christmas Special. If you go into it looking for Oscar worthy flawless acting you'll be disappointed. But if you go into it hoping for fun and funny moments with just overall holiday festiveness it'll be ok. I loved her dresses and the lightning and all was really great. She looked amazing and sounded great. I haven't seen the movie yet, I am afraid to watch it to be honest. I wish she would do great as an actress and I would personally love to see more of acting, but I am afraid that she might let her "diva"-ness take over. I saw a small snippet and I was sadly to see some "mistakes" from a director point of view. From the reviews I've seen so far it doesn't looks so great. (Sunday 20 December 2015; 22:38)

Merriest Christmas (58,585) by Lee from UK I am probably one of the quickest people to point out when Mariah has given a bad performance so I wanted to actually make sure I'm doing the same when Mariah is deserving of praise. "Mariah's Merriest Christmas" show was absolutely stunning. I can not wait to share this with my family this Christmas and not have to worry about bum notes. Mariah sounded fan-bloody-tastic. Her voice sounded clear and crisp. I know the show was pre recorded and they probably chose the best bits but it did seem completely seamless. Mariah made good melodic choices with a lot of the songs. I love it when Mariah changes parts of the songs to something different than I'm used to. She was also looking amazing. Here's hoping she keeps this up until March 2016 when she comes to the UK on tour. (Sunday 20 December 2015; 22:33)
