Re: My wishlist for additional singles from each album (57,280) (57,286) by IheartMC from USA
This is an awesome poll to have kick started as we as lambs have all different opinions of what singles should have been released. Lucky enough for us we stan for an artist who choosing a single is a problem because most of her songs are winners. Here is my list, hope everyone continues to share. Long live our beloved M.
1. Mariah Carey: Sent from up above (could even work today)
2. Emotions: You're so cold (would have been another hit)
3. Music Box: Now that I know (missed classic)
4. Daydream: When I saw you (ultimate wedding song)
5. Butterfly: The roof (deserved a bigger push)
6. Rainbow: After tonight (still love this song)
7. Charmbracelet: Subtle invitation (classy and jazzy)
8. TEOM: Circles/Stay the night (loved both strongly)
10. EMC2: For the record (shame for not releasing this)
11. MOIA: Betcha gon know (still waiting on a video lol)
12. Me I am Mariah: Faded/Meteorite (Both would have brought her back)

90s MC vs. today's MC (57,285) by Jeff from USA
I think that 90s Mariah would be very proud of what she has accomplished in her life. She has two beautiful children and has had the success that she could not even have imagined. She can proudly say that she has been a role model for the broken, the wounded, those who struggle with their racial makeup, those struggling with their sexuality, and for countless fans that have been inspired and moved by her music. 90s MC would be able to proudly say that she is at a place in her life that she can finally make the music she wants to make and is not dependent upon commercial success. 90s Mariah would be proud that the fragile butterfly emerged victorious.

I'm pretty amazed that many of us are choosing the same songs.
1) Mariah Carey - Prisoner
2) Emotions - And You Don't Remember
3) Music Box - Everything Fades Away
4) Daydream - Long Ago
5) Butterfly - The Roof/Breakdown (as others said, released properly)
6) Rainbow - Crybaby
7) Glitter - Want You
8) Charmbracelet - Yours
9) The Emancipation Of Mimi - Stay The Night
10) E=MC2 - Migrate (such as missed opportunity)
11) Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel - Inseparable
12) Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse - Cry (I'm Languishing that this never got the attention it deserved)

Re: I've always wondered (57,228) (57,283) by TJ from Norway
1990's MC would not have loved the 2015 MC. In old interviews Mariah focused on being a singer, not an entertainer. She praised the voice of big stars and she was humble and more down to earth. That's how I remember her. She had a God given talent, but she didn't tell the world that there was no one else in her level. I guess she need to get back to her roots before she makes a new album. Anyway: love her music from 1990-1997. Listening to her unplugged album as I drive around in Oslo (wondering why she didn't release more live albums), singing old tunes and remember how things used to be (I'm getting old).

Speaking of "You got me", are you guys aware that there's a longer version of the song? The one on the album was edited. This one runs well over 5 minutes.

Re: My wishlist for additional singles from each album (57,264) (57,280) by darrian liu from taiwan
This is a really good topic. She got a lot of songs waiting to blow up in her albums [...].
1. Mariah Carey - Sent From Up Above
2. Emotions - To Be Around You
3. Music Box - Now That I Know
4. Daydream - Long Ago
5. Butterfly - Breakdown (as a full blown single, not just some airplay stuff, I heard that back in the day MTV got the video on heavy rotation)
6. Rainbow - How Much
7. Charmbracelet - Subtle Invitation (won't be a big hit, but imo would help with the image repair back then)
8. TEOM - To The Floor
9. E=MC2 - Migrate (obviously)
10. MOAIA - Standing O
11. MIAM - Faded

I think You Got Me is one of her best uptempos ever. It was an instant favourite for me when CB was released, along with Lullaby.

In the past few days I've been listening to "You Got Me" a lot. I start to really like it. in the beginning I always skipped it, but now I appreciate it more and more. Especially the bridge is great.

Re: My wishlist for additional singles from each album (57,271) (57,277) by MIAM from United Kingdom
Great choices for singles from each albums but the song "Sent from up above" is from the first album, not Emotions. Just saying.

Haha we posted the same topic. Bizarre. Well there, you have my list below.

Singles (57,275) by Musti from UK
So we all have at least 1 song from each full-length album that we wish was released as a single. I don't mean your favourite songs but rather the songs that you think would have been successful singles. I'm not sure if this has been discussed recently. It would be interesting to see everyone else's opinions. Here is my list:
Mariah Carey - You Need Me
Emotions - You're So Cold (needs a radio edit)
Music Box - Now That I Know (perhaps with a remix)
Daydream - Forever
Butterfly - Breakdown (not as a b-side for My All)
Rainbow - How Much
Glitter - If We
Charmbracelet - You Got Me
TEOM - Stay the Night
E=MC2 - Migrate (obviously)
Memoirs - Inseparable
MIAM - Thirsty

Mariah's make up in '97 and '05 (57,274) by Giovanni from USA
Looked amazing. I know this is random and kinda silly to post about. But it's true. I was looking at videos of interviews of those two eras and her make up was on point. Even in 2013 and last year at the Beacon. She looked like she hadn't aged a bit. She truly is an ageless queen.

Well I realized I was getting out of hand bashing Mariah. So I decided to take it down a notch. She deserves respect.

My request and wish (57,272) by Gilles from Malta
How much I would love to get an album like she performed live at MLB All-Star Charity Concert in NYC, I was listening yesterday Looking In, Beautiful, Hero. I can not wait for a symphonic album in vinyl and CD. That 's my wish and request. For me it is a way to seal success. I know she did MTV but it is so passé. As every legend she will make it, I mean I hope and my fingers are crossed. George Michael did it, Barbra Streisand, Kylie Minogue, anyway. That 's my last and only expectation regarding MC music. (I mean for me, whatever she does I know she always blows people's mind.) Have a nice day everyone.

Re: My wishlist for additional singles from each album (57,264) (57,271) by Todd from Sydney, Australia
Oooh fun.
1) Mariah Carey - Prisoner
2) Emotions - Sent From Up Above
3) Music Box - Everything Fades Away
4) Daydream - Long Ago
5) Butterfly - we got Butterfly and Breakdown as singles in AU/NZ, but a worldwide release of both would have been amazing
6) Rainbow - X Girlfriend
7) Glitter - All My Life
8) Charmbracelet - Clown (such a good song)
9) The Emancipation Of Mimi - Your Girl
10) E=MC2 - Migrate
11) Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel - Betcha Gon' Know
12) Me. I Am Mariah... - Cry
And I'll throw this one into the mix to. I think Here Comes Santa Claus is one of her best Christmas songs, it's a shame 99% of people have no idea of its existence.

Beacon Theatre (57,270) by Mara from United States
Well I got my tickets, I purchased the Gold VIP package. I am really looking forward to seeing the show again and hope she adds some new classic Christmas songs in there too. I wonder if she will sing the same non Christmas songs too. Would be amazing if she did a meet and greet. How did the lucky few get to do that in Vegas? I am going to gift a ticket to my sister and my 7 year old who was mesmerized by Mariah last year and of course my husband. I picked the 17th since it is a Thursday and since we will be traveling late to drive home, at least it's a Friday and not the middle of the week the next day. I bet she will release some more shows the closer we get. Beacon Theatre is such a beauty in itself, add MC the queen of Christmas and NYC and how festive it is, it makes for such a magical night. Very excited now.

Re: So fetch (57,257) (57,269) by Marissa from USA
I just peeped that yesterday. Once I put two and two together I knew that Mariah, her love of Mean Girls and Lacey Chabert was no coincidence. I'm so excited for this movie. MC looks like she's taking this directing role very seriously.

Re: My wishlist for additional singles from each album (57,264) (57,268) by B from USA
I love your list. Now That I Know, The One, Stay The Night, and Meteorite would have been my choices as singles as well. I feel Now That I Know is very underrated and underappreciated. I would also add I've Been Think About You to the list. Excellent post.

Lipsynching Mariah (57,266) by Will from England
I don't mind her lipping every now and then, since it helps to preserve her voice. Celine has been lipping for years and if you listen/watch her latest performances of MHWGO at Vegas, you can hear her singing live and belting out those notes like there's no tomorrow. I also strongly recommend her "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" performance, it's truly a spectacle. So, if Mariah needs to lip to keep her voice intact, then lip away. If she can get her voice back to the MCIIY album then I'll be happy. I'll also be curious to hear the audio from her China performances coming up.

Pictures (57,265) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
This is possibly one of the cutest pictures I have ever seen. The gorgeous mommy, the cute kids and that sunflower garden, come on. Super adorable. I feel like Mariah looks so much better in her natural skin tone. I have no problems with tans but I have seen sometimes (or a lot of times) Mariah goes overboard with the tan and ends up having a harsh "orange-ish" tint to her skin and somehow it's always splotchy. She has such a beautiful skin, she does not need anything artificial. Anyways, Mariah please give us more "Honey" meets ABMB hair moments like the one you did for the Ellen show hotel maid skit. It's one of my favorites and she looks gorgeous with it.

7) Glitter - Lead The Way
8) Charmbracelet - The One
9) The Emancipation Of Mimi - Stay The Night
10) E=MC2 - Migrate

Magazine interview Lovari mentions Mariah influence (57,263) by The Real Deal from USA
Louder Than War Magazine in the UK features an interview this week with US singer Lovari, and he mentions MC's influence for his upcoming album. Here is the link. Currently, where do you see your music going, in what direction? "I'm going to use more of my voice. I want to showcase my vocals more. The industry doesn't have any more vocals, it's very computerized. Even the R&B. I think it's very computerized. I want to bring it back to the early Mariah Carey, the early Whitney Houston."
