I meant to post this before. I really enjoyed the video. The dancing is very well done. I don't know who did the remix, but I wish it was available somewhere. Lol. Thank you.

Aww that is so cute. I am really happy that Mariah is finally in a good place after years of suffering. She seemed to be in a good place with Nick too, I won't lie, she looked genuinely in love with him. But I guess with Packer it's more stable since they are closer in age range and they are both reserved about their personal life, something Nick wasn't. Nick will probably simmer down when he is older and more matured, but that's another story. I wish Mariah and "Jimmy Pack" (which is her nick name for him) all the best.

Ardis I love that remix. So slinky. I don't know if I have a favorite at the moment but last week it was Christmas Time Is In The Air Again. I also have a new love for Hark. The Herald Angels Sing since she opened the show with it. I think when I get back into town tomorrow I'm going to buy a Christmas tree and decorate while watching all the videos on the Merry Christmas dualdisc because it has the video to that remix on it.

Mariah's man at the Beacon (58,394)

I had the honor to sit near Mariah's new man last night at the Beacon. WHen she sang he closed his eyes and sang with her. He blew her kisses all night. Honestly I've never seen anything like it, it was like out of a movie.

Fifth Harmony sings AIWFCIY: the light's bad (58,393)
by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
| |
|
|
This periscope of Fifth Harmony's backstage antics at The Jingle Ball has had me rolling for days so I thought I'd share while it's still relevant. Ally lead the choir with her ethereal high notes and Mariah's impact is felt throughout with the girl's obsession with the lighting used to film them. Camila is just randomly opening her mouth this close to the camera lens. Lauren can't stop singing and Dinah makes her duck-lips even on video. In the end Normani said in the most forlorn tone ever: The light's bad. I don't understand why it's so funny but it is. Happy Holidays Lambily

Christmas Season (58,392)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|
|
Christmas is undoubtedly Mariah's season. This is one season where whether you love or hate her, you have to acknowledge her Christmas queen status. So I feel that Mariah can bank on it and release non-holiday songs/albums during this time too, to ride on the publicity she gets during the time frame of October-December. Just a thought.

Aw, you are welcome. You are a sweetheart. I think we just get caught up sometimes and forget that underneath even though the picture and circumstances seem to be different, and things like money and fame or race or background seem to separate us. If we are willing to look beyond all that with compassion we find we have the same insecurities highs lows hopes and dreams. I so resonate that Mariah had a song for every moment in my life that was a voice for my experience. If she decided to stop tomorrow, she wouldn't owe me a thing as a fan. I appreciate it all.

Travon Austin, nobody would ever think you are in love with me, everybody here knows you would never cheat on Mariah. Thank you for you words, I really appreciate your comment. I had gone to the concert and I was just waiting to write my experience objectively. I was being true to what I experienced. I think Mariah is up to something, musically that is. I kind of have the impression we'll have new music soon. Bill, I'm glad you liked my post. When the woman is putting an effort and delivering consistent performances, it should also be said. I'm glad this year has being very positive for her, she seems to be in a wonderful place.

Thank you for your words. I really appreciate the good vibe I get from you and your posts. You said something that resonated with me as if you knew me, and it was about being compassionate. I even got a little teary-eyed and I'm not a crybaby. It is just that through this double-edged sword called Internet we sometimes become so detached and cold that we forget that entertainers are just human beings like the rest of us, with the same imperfections and insecurities. Insecurities and imperfections that we sometimes think money and fame could change in us, but we could see how people with money and fame go through depression and even end their lives. I guess that through her early work Mariah connected with all of us because she was that person going through the same issues we were all going through, whether it was depression, family dysfunction, heartache, bigotry, jealousy, betray, etc., with the only difference that she had the voice and lyrics that could reach the masses and we found comfort in that. Name a bad situation, and I can name you a song from Mariah that could be applied to that. I can say that I feel happy I could catch Mariah on one of those great moments in her life. I think I needed to see her without that worried look in her eyes while performing. It seems that Packer bring some sense of stability to her life. I'm not here dissing Nick, I'm just saying that Mariah looks more than happy, she looks serene and secured in herself. Thanks again.

Marissa, don't waste your time (58,377)
by Edward from USA
| |
|
|
Marissa, I don't know why she keeps coming for you or Mimi L. when she keeps getting her behind kicked with simple words. In 16 years being a member of this board, never have I seen so much arrogance and delusion. She actually thinks she's lamb royalty. I'm the type of person who usually gets along well with everybody even when they might have different opinions from mine, I love variety, but this person really gives me a bad vibe. It is as if I could see her dark aura through her bullying messages. Even when they are supposedly positive she's always throwing shades or stirring the pot. I have said it before, I can't stand bullies, know-it-alls and those who always blame everything that happens to Mariah on Benny, Tony or any other conspiracy theory. If Mariah is to be responsible for the good things in her life, like giving an excellent Christmas show, she should be also responsible for many of the bad things that happen to her too, not all. But when you are like a horse with blinkers looking only in one direction, there won't ever be a way for you to see things differently or even consider that things might not be the way you see it. I hope I don't offend anybody with these words, but sometimes I don't even think she's a really woman. There's nothing womanly about this creature, even when she talks about lipsticks, ponytails and makeup.

I was hoping you would post about the show, and you did. Thank you, Edward. I'm so happy you had such an incredible night. I am also very glad you brought up YT vs actually being at a live venue, Although I have not had the opportunity to see Mariah yet (I am determined to see her, it's a dream of mine) you can never judge from YT it just isn't the same. I have been to live things, and it's just not the same at all on YT. She will have her vocal ups and downs as a human. That's just part of it. Things evolve and shift all the time. I guess I just don't see the value in being angry at her for it, or spending hours on end trying to prove what's lipped, what's live and what's prerecorded. It's called life. For me, I'd rather just take each moment for what it is. When we lose our compassion for each other what is left, right? She's going to have highs midtones and lows just like we all do. It's always about what you choose to do with them. Anyway, sorry for rambling, your experience made me smile, thank you for posting in detail about the concert. I may not have gone yet, and I know it seems odd since I've been a fan since I was 12. It's not for lack of trying lol. But reading the recaps take me right there. Thank you. Merry Christmas.

by May from Denmark

The claim itself is silly, now Mariah happens to be a master hacker, next someone will say she was Anonymous the time IS daesh twitter accounts were put down lol. Mariah Carey doesn't even know how to use a computer and that's worldwide known, even said it herself, if she uses tablets is because even a toddler can do it, it's an intuitive gadget, she has no time for computers, she is busy doing real music the old way, a plain handy recorder, phone recorder and using mixing apps. If someone came to her with a tune and she thought the tune being presented to her was theirs that's not her fault. She has been accused of the same with TGIFY in the past and the claim was dismissed, I won't deny I had my doubts back then because the tunes sounded pretty alike in some parts, but it has happened many times that some tunes happen to sound similar. Madonna has been in the same boat as well as Shakira, and this last artist has ben creating music since she was a child and Madonna gets music handed to her so I would always take those theft accusations with doubts.

Great review from your perspective about the show Edward. It's always nice to read first hand experiences, it's true watching clips never come as close as live. But I got to say just watching the clips (I'm grateful for the technology now at days the videos fans record seem to come in better sound quality every time more) and I notice all those things you mentioned right away, overall the part where she doesn't seem out of breath. Her show is having very positive reviews around. If only she could reproduce such success on national television that should clamp some people, but somehow I also think that people just won't accept the fact that Mariah is being really all out real and will just throw arms in the air claiming lip synch. The other day I was actually thinking that she should do a live a capella, completely, not just bits out of cameras for the fans like she does sometimes or tiny easy pieces here and there in interviews, I'm talking a whole song a acapella on tv like the ones she presented in the beginning of her career, now that would silence everyone. I really liked it when she sang AIWFC with Jimmy and the toy instruments. She needs to do something like that again, it was fun and very well done.
