Can we talk about how lovely Mariah has been looking lately. Yes, the lighting in that restaurant wasn't flattering but do you really think Mariah walks around with a lighting technician 24/7? She's loosing the weight. She'll be considered hot again which is insane because she's still one of the most beautiful women in the world.

Wow, she looks gorgeous in that. Love the side part, very Glitter-Billie style. Mariah is bringing her fashion A game to Paris. Plus the only people she is mingling with are fashion designers. Are we getting Fashion-riah back? Also did anyone notice Stella bringing back the Rainbow tank tops?

Hi Shelly, I think I read somewhere, that the contract was for 4 albums. I am hoping after the new Christmas album, we will get maybe 2 new original albums with new material.

Marcus, Andrew, Randy are goats or in denial. Baby and Mimi please stop basing each other. We are here because we love MC and we should support each other except the aforementioned goats. Andrew why should Mariah retire? She slayed vocally and her residency which you said would be an epic failure? Albums don't sell and I highly doubt Epic is expecting these rereleases to sell.

Wow is it me or has anyone noticed the good publicity Mariah is getting lately? I mean girlfriend is looking real good in Paris and those pictures of her with dembabies are priceless. Mariah looks rested and content. Love it. Side bar: I so want those shoes Mariah wore to Disneyland.

Your theory actually sounds spot on. I understand re-releasing the #1's album may serve 3 purposes: Vegas tie-in, fans/GP getting all 18 #1's in one CD and tiding fans over until the next CD comes out. But when I heard they are re-releasing the Christmas album, I was like what's the point? That album already is a holiday staple and sells every year. There is absolutely no talk or build up of a new album, Mariah said just recently that she is yet to discuss what she wants on the new album with L.A. Reid, so ya.

You must really be that blind that to prove your point you fail to separate what was clearly "a theory" and pass if off like I said what the fans said is the ultimate truth and I refuse to believe anyone that tells me otherwise. This actually will just be last post directed at you, I'll be the adult (get it?) while I let your own paranoia and conspiracy theories and foul mouth (calling people imbeciles and morons just because they had views other than yours) and imagined "high status" define who you are. I'm done bickering with a child. Wouldn't even have happened had you not called me out in the first place. Bye.

Everything I write in my posts is my opinion. If sometimes it seems like I'm stating my opinions as facts it's because I believe what I'm saying and for me it is true. I know not everyone has the same beliefs as me. I enjoy reading other people's perspectives and that's why I always throw my two cents in too, so that we can get a broader picture of what everyone's thoughts are.

I know what you mean and possibly another way of her saying it could have been "Haha well I would obviously like to hold that record, but who knows, we'll see what happens, my first focus is to write songs that my fans and hopefully the general public will enjoy." Right? But the problem is that people usually just tear into her the first chance she gets so she must have been scared of saying it. I too was like Mariah seriously, you'll just say "No I don't want that" to this? She replied a little to fast.

Nobody puts Baby in a corner (54,401)

Haven't you learned anything at all? I'll post whatever I like in my lists. It's on you if you put stock in obviously humorous lines or completely specualtive musings. I've never misled anyone about what I know or don't know. In fact, I have been explicit in my posts several times lest some moron believed I was Mariah, or someone close to her, for whatever inane reason. It's no wonder you find yourself quoting commentary from the Daily Mail that is notoriously skewed against Mariah as if it's a legitimate source. How is it my fault that you find my posts so believable to the point where you become disappointed if whatever you read into them doesn't materialise to your liking? How come you only want to believe some of the things I post about that don't even matter in the grand scheme of things when the main reason I post is the evident Campaign Against Mariah that's been going on for decades but has never been worse than these past 4 years. I don't know you from JLo. For all I know, you could be her. We're all anonymous here even though some posters obviously communicate via daily email memos. You're no match for me, and that's not speculation. That's a fact. You can't put me in a corner when I'm already in Mimi's corner all day every day. You're just bitter that I'm not on your team because you know how good I am at what I do. I'm a Lamb 4 Life. Who the hell knows what life sentence you and your ilk are serving that has you posting here. I wish you well.

View from a cushion (54,399)
by Andrew from UK
| |
|
|
Attempting to silence people in your party who may disagree with you or raise contrary opinions is well-documented in history to have been done by the most unpleasant of persons. It says a lot more about you than the person doing the complaining. To Randy, you are right. Mariah now misses notes completely, runs out of breath and is spending a fortune on glue to keep her fixed to stage centre. I would postulate that most Mariah fans are hiding behind a cushion every time she performs "live". A break is definitely needed. And I'm not sorry for saying so. I believe many people will agree, also. People should stop apologising in advance of, or even after, voicing criticism or disdain, for fear of the onslaught of others. There are no sinister forces at play, there is no giant conspiracy, and this is not an alternate dimension where repeating things without evidence turns them into fact. Mariah's failures are her own just as are her successes. The output is not relevant and people mocking her is mostly due to the way she behaves, although much less cringe recently. But enough that the cushion is within reaching distance, still.

"To see me back at #1" (54,395)
by Tijl from Belgium
| |
|
|
People keep going on about "Infinty" not being strong material. As with every new single from Mariah that isn't repeating the previous one, so many fans cry wolf. "Infinity" is a good song with many layers. I believe the marketing machine behind Mariah isn't just as it was in the old days. Mainly because Mariah decided to balance out her private life with her career. I remember very well a documentary on the "Charmbracelet' era were she visited 3 different European countries in one single day, giving interviews, attended meet and greets and had camera crews following her. And that was just one single day after day after day. With dem babies it would be impossible to do such intense promotion for singles or albums. As well, that was 12 years ago. Remember the promotion tour for "Emancipation"? I do believe with proper intense promotion "#1 to infinity" and "Infinity" could have been a greater succes. Just as well, music has changed so much over the last decade. Any piece of junk can be marketed to good sales. At the end of the day, I am not defending Mariah being Cinderella. She has flaws there she is a human being. She has given me many times of consolation and support in difficult times of my life just as she made me happy. To me, she has nothing left to prove being already a living legend with a body of work that won't be surpased very soon. I just find it far due for some moguls in the industry to finally acknowledge her legacy.

It does kinda seem like Sony gave her a "low ball" record deal (it was actually rumoured), and are just trying to recapitalize off her back catalogue with all these re releases and greatest hits compilations. I wonder how many new (all caps) albums we'll get under this contract. Hopefully she gets the push she needs from them instead of being pigeonheld in the "legends that won't sell anymore" category. *coughs* LA Reid *coughs*

I love your posts. Aren't we as fans supposed to support Mariah? Warts and all? Of course she isn't perfect but why do so many of her fans insist on constantly pointing out every imperfection she has, calling it "constructive criticism" when it's the same bull just repeated in another sentence? I don't even mind the fun discussions on what she could do differently to improve but there is a line where it just become bashing. Shouldn't Mariah's work since 2001 speak for itself and not a 3 minute video from a long lost brother? Things haven't been smooth for the last couple of years but nothing has pointed to her being stupidly unstable. Whitney's issues were constanty evident for years. Like I said before, her children would not be able to travel the world with a high risk mother like Morgan (and even some fans) are suggesting she is.

Mariah Carey deserves respect. I don't know how some of you can even call yourselves fans. It's beyond me. You make horrible remarks about her and the decisions she makes and try to say it's tough love or constructive criticism. Saying Mariah needs to work with new producers is constructive criticism. I want her to work with the producers that Miguel and Frank Ocean work with.

It's possible to state your truth humbly. She could have replied, "It is a dream of mine to hold the record for the most #1 singles but I'm thankful to have more #1's than any other solo artist. That's an amazing accomplishment. I'm grateful to have had such a long and successful career and that my creativity well is still running. I'm still writing quality songs that the public enjoys." I know those are my words but I'm sure she could come up with a way to say it while not sounding snobby.

Why must everything be called an excuse? (54,390)
by Amber C from USA

im going to use nonsensitive language so I don't get censored again. Lol. Everytime a lamb comes on here and refutes what other lambs (with plausible evidence) takes time to present to everyone else, the whole lamb movement is taken back 50 steps. When it comes to these "conspiracies" can we have a progressive argument? If [...] don't agree that Mariah is being sabotaged bring evidence why you don't believe so, [...] those who think that she is have brought good evidence. It's only fair. I will say that Mariah probably can't trust anyone on her 'team". From the black handler who never cracks a smile (I'm not being rasicst, I'm black as well) to that red head rouged cheek woman with all that strange jewelry. I don't care if [...] call me a conspiracy theorist, if [...] have evidence against my claim, please disclose, don't just criticize. Thank you.

Ben / Marcus / Marissa (54,389)
by Licia from USA

You three have made excellent points. When MIAM flopped fans immediately blamed everyone except for Mariah. JD may not have been the best manager, but I feel he got a lot of backlash unfairly. We tend to not hold Mariah responsible for anything that goes wrong. She's not a new artist. She knows this industry like the back of her hand and she knows what she needs to do to be successful. As Marissa said despite all the obstacles that people have put in her way throughout the years she still promoted her music and worked her behind off. It's not the kids, the divorce, the record company or the managers. Unfortunately sometimes it's just Mariah choosing not to do what needs to be done. Before you all go into the "you're not a real fan" rants, I have been around since 1990. I'll continue to support her as long as she makes music I enjoy, but I won't pretend like everything she does is right when something is clearly wrong. For me it's not about number ones, it's about her regaining her respect back. People can't take away her accomplishments, but all the nonsense is overshadowing what she's worked so hard to gain. People are forgetting why she's one of the greatest.

Morgan and Shawn (54,388)
by Paul D from USA

Isn't there a photo of Morgan with Mariah and their mom at an American Idol taping from 2013? Isn't Morgan in the video for When Christmas Comes? If so, it seems like they've kept in touch recently, so I don't understand how some are saying that they haven't kept in touch and are estranged. Allison, I get, but I thought Morgan and Mariah were always on good terms. Didn't she help Morgan promote one of Morgan's artist friends, the Japanese musician Skull? Then there's Shawn. Is it possible that Shawn is on Mariah's payroll? She paid for his college tuition. What does he do in Portland, for a living? If you look at his Twitter pics, he's photographed with lots of disgusting Playboy-type models. Seems like he's enjoying a good life.

Epic rereleasing #1's and Merry Christmas in 2015 which is Mariah's twenty-fifth year in the industry. These albums are being rereleased to coincide with her anniversary and to keep her relevant until she releases her next album. She didn't promote MIAM because of personal and professional issues. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Mariah Carey an R&B artist? #Beautiful peaked at #15 on the Hot 100. You're Mine (Eternal) wasn't a hit but it wasn't a flop like the media and some of you seem to think. YME reached #24 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, #12 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Songs chart, #41 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, #15 on the Hot R&B Songs chart and #20 on the Adult R&B Songs chart. It peaked at #26 on the Adult Contemporary chart, #36 on the Mainstream Top 40 (Pop Songs) chart, and #35 on the Rhythmic chart. Mariah Carey is still relevant. Mariah is slaying in Vegas. Her residency was extended into 2016 and she has the Beacon shows in December.

It's no coincidence that they waited for her to become a divorcé and single mother to get Morgan all of a sudden talking like he's making up for all the years he said absolutely nothing. It's to keep as many serious, financially secure, powerful and respected suitors from potentially pursuing Mariah. What decent man of Mariah's stature listens to Nick's slanderous rants and raves, over sharing intimate of details, trash talking, bad jokes, comments laced with passive aggressive intimations about Mariah and not think twice? What no drama tolerance guy reads Damizza's "misquoted" me-and-Mariah love story and doesn't go hmmm? Who in their right mind that only casually knows Mariah's music and personal story watches Morgan, her own flesh and blood brother, accuse her of being everything but a child of God while name dropping Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston, wouldn't look at her differently? Like I've been saying, aside from the usual, there is also a major element of cockblocking. It's no fluke that Mariah's abilities as a mother and spouse-partner are being attacked. They want her alone and isolated to easier sell the narrative of her "bubble life". Morgan's story turns up, what, one day after the release of the Infinity video where Mariah's storyline is explicitly advertising her divorced status and actually creating a real dating profile on Match? Did I mention how fucking beautiful she looks in every angle? There is a reason the term power-couple is in our vocabulary.

I just love love love how everyone is so certain of their theories and seems to be next to Mariah the whole time to know exactly what's happening. The truth is that nobody here has the inside scoop, unless you're Mariah herself, you don't know crap. Believe what you want, but don't come here so certain with your negativity. It's easy to hide behind your computer screen and say any stupid thing that comes to mind. No one in particular is being pointed out here, just all the know it all negativos. Girl please. Next. PS I'm not here to be liked, since I do not know any of you personally.
