Mimi (55,459) by B from USA
I think Mariah looks stunning as the "tire girl" in the kaleidoscope-inspired sequence in the Loverboy video. Her legs are amazing.

Camouflage (55,458) by B from USA
Camouflage is a classic. It's haunting and deeply personal. Anyone who has ever been heartbroken can relate to this song. Her delivery is desperation personified.

#1 To Infinity (55,457) by B from USA
This residency was a great idea. Her voice is in fine form and her stage presence is improving with each show. Mariah is primed for a comeback. I don’t think Mariah or Epic released Infinity expecting it to be her next big hit. Mariah is a talent to be reckoned with and she’ll be back at #1. Bet on it.

Packer (55,456) by B from USA
Packer makes Mariah happy and that's all that matters. Mariah and Packer are cute together and she looks stunning. She's glowing.

Jhud (55,455) by Lee TS from USA
I could never really get into her music. She can definitely blow with the big vocals, but she doesn't translate well to pop/mainstream music. She's very church-y in the way she sings. She's only good for that one Dreamgirls' song and doing tributes in awards shows. Maybe she can do a tribute when Mariah decides to do a Divas Live moment dedicated to her ala Diana Ross 2000. Jhud can definitely do MIH then and Beyonce doing WBT. Ariana and 1D can do One Sweet Day. Kelly Clarkson doing VOL. Fiftth Harmony doing ABMB. Aretha doing TMB. Christina doing Vanishing. Britney doing Honey. Maroon 5 doing Heartbreaker. Taylor doing Dreamlover. Lol just for laughs.

Re: Jennifer Hudson (55,454) by DreamLove from USA
The song of just that type of girl does have similarities with Make It Happen. That low beat sound of the song, sounds like parts of Make It Happen. She isn't going anywhere. The song does sound like Mariah's "Last night a DJ saved my life" (low beat) but that particular song is not exactly original. Someone else did the song/beats before her and she re made it for the Glitter soundtrack.

She wants to have his babies (55,453) by Lee TS from USA
That I don't believe. She seems allergic to getting pregnant and really turned off by her experience. The only way I can see her possibly wanting to have another baby would be freezing her eggs and hiring a surrogate. I can't imagine her putting her body through that again, she makes it seem traumatizing and such a nightmare. Plus, I mean, are her eggs still viable? I would think they're probably bit scrambled by now. I did wonder if she would want more kids if she goes into another relationship, but Packer already has his small children and she has hers. It seems they're plenty of little ones for a big family. I mean it would be awesome if she has another baby, another little girl would be cute, more chances of inheriting the talent. I can totally see Nick having more babies since he's a young guy and always expressed of wanting a big family. And I don't think she takes having babies lightly, she's very aware of the responsibility.

Vocals (55,452) by Mara from United States
First on the topic of one Mariah song, that is just too hard. But something about the song Til The End Of Time from the first day I heard it has always put me in a trance like state. Sounds crazy but that song just is hauntingly beautiful. The whole Emotions album is my favorite but that song is just amazing. But I also just want to say can we mention The Vocals lately? Mariah has been sounding amazing and I am pleased to say she sounds back to fine form. From what she went through with the tabloids and the tree lighting ceremony and other appearances and lipcyncing and what not. She is officially back and showing them all. Notice there is never any press if she kills it, only if it's negative. But her press has been positive from the people going to her shows. She has her confidence back and I love it. I love when she does because she is not afraid of going there with her notes. You can see and hear from the videos posted how she is taking risks with her voice again and she is hitting the notes. Mariah Carey is the best living vocalist today and she is still proving that in Las Vegas. She was going through a lot of personal issues in her marriage and maybe that played a role in her vocals, but now she sounds better than she has sounded in over 10 years. She looks so happy too and I'm sure that helps.

Often imitated never duplicated (55,451) by Ardis Logic from Earth
Yeah you're right Kate from the UK, those songs do sound very similar to MC's songs. That's crazy. It reminds me of the quote "Hate on me as much as you want to. You can't do what the fuck I do. Bitches be emulating me daily. Hate on me, much as you want to, you can't be who the fuck I be. Bitches be imitating me baby." I like Jennifer Hudson though, she has a great voice.

One song / Jennifer Hudson (55,449) by Kate from UK
Fantasy remix, but the one where the original mixes with it. That's my way of getting both versions since I adore them both. This kind of ties in with the other artists topic, I was listening to Jennifer Hudson's latest album "JHUD" and I was thinking how much "He Ain't Goin' Nowhere" reminds me of MC's "Last Night A DJ Saved My Life" and how "Just That Type of Girl" reminds me of "Make It Happen". If any of you have a chance to listen to those songs, I'd love to know if you agree.

Bill (55,448) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
I also love To The Floor. Always surprises me to hear so many people dislike it, but if we all liked the same things, it would be boring. Lol. Most people hate MOAIA and I absolutely love that album. It's right up there with Butterfly and the debut for me. I am however finding it impossible to pick just one Mariah song. Lol.

Back on Billboard 200 (55,447) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
"#1 to Infinity" is back on Billboard 200 this week at number 181. I wonder if it will keep climbing now that she's back in Vegas and getting all this positive press.

Re: Songs that most hate but I happen to love (55,446) by Bill from the UK
I know To The Floor doesn't get much praise here. It's actually my most favourite song from Emancipation. It sounds so slick and the minimal production makes it sound so open and free. It really is the peak of the second half of the album in my opinion.

One song (55,445) by Mirage_Nunez from America
I would have to go with "Cry" without any second thoughts. To me it's the most soul churning, emotional, heart wrenching song MC has done thus far. She sings every word so much conviction/believability. I literally have to always play this song at least three times in the row, before moving on to another song. Sidenote: I agree with the person that mentioned Mariah's artistry being in the same vein as Marvin Gaye. IMO he's the male equivalent to Mariah. They both use their vocals as art with the layering and different textures.

VOL (55,444) by Myles from CT, USA
Anyone else not love this song? I do not hate it but that's just not my song. Great debut single though.

Mimi is in love? (55,443) by Ardis Logic from Earth
Mariah and James look so happy. I am really happy for her. At the same time I can't help but be a little worried. I just hope that he is a good, sincere man, who has good intentions toward MC. I hate to see her heartbroken and crying. I truly hope that they are really in love, and happy together.

Re: Songs that most hate but I happen to love (55,442) by Bino from
Did I Do That: (I) great intro with that sexy voice and xylophone-sounding beat; (II) the vocal layering; (III) the jarring, unintelligible Mystikal verse (her lover as a loser?) is a nice contrast to Maria's cool cooing and crooning; and (IV) the badass lyrics of course.

One song (55,441) by Lee TS from USA
I think mine would have to be Without You. It's so dramatic and sad, just the way I like my Mariah. Lol no but she really brings the song to life. Every note, every breath is just astounding. No one can sing that song like she did, not even her today. I think Never Forget You was probably her version to the original. It would be nice if she would perform the song in Vegas on a random night for the international lambs that goes to see her, it is technically a #1.

Songs that most hate but I happen to love (55,439) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
I can think of 2 - Infinity and Boy (I Need You). Infinity is actually nice. Yes, it does sound like a patchwork production but it does have the ingredients of a good pop hit - just not for the current music landscape and is somehow inappropriate for her age. Boy (I Need You) is the most upbeat Charmbracelet gets, and though potentially irritating especially during the chorus, the production is actually quite great - nothing else in her catalog sound like it, not even You Got Me with it's similar use of chipmunk voices. Those verses and pre-choruses are actually melodically quite dreamy.

That one Mariah song (55,438) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
Most difficult question to answer in this messageboard in quite a while. It's hard enough narrowing them down to 50, let alone just one - that's next to impossible. So I decided to cheat: allow myself at least one upbeat and one downtempo. Upbeat: Fantasy. The original version. Though it may sound a bit dated these days, nothing compares to that giddy feeling this song induces every time it plays. It's a delirious sugar rush - those vocals, those lyrics, the melody, the harmonies, that sample, that remix, that video? This is as good as the highest form of pop music gets. It's up there with other landmark pop songs such as Like A Prayer and Billie Jean. Downbeat: Butterfly. This is Mariah in a song. There is a reason why she herself considers this her best ballad. This is the standard by which other Mariah ballads are measured up to. It has a chorus that soars like no other, and a rousing gospel influence that only Fly Like A Bird can rival or top. It's what freedom sounds like.

One Mariah song (55,437) by Jake from New Zealand
Umm. This is really hard. I'm torn between Fantasy, Without You and Vision Of Love. But I'll say Without You, it has a very special meaning for me (being the song that made me fall in love with Mariah) and I'll never get tired of it.

Angels Cry (55,436) by Manny from U.S.
For the longest time, "Emotions" was my favorite Mariah song. Then "We Belong Together" took its place. I thought no other song could top it until I heard "Angels Cry", the original. I would choose this song to listen to forever if I had to choose. I have a thing for angels and what they represent. I like imagery of the hurricane, lighting, and walking on a narrow rope. It sounds poetic to me. When I listen to this song, it reminds me of the love of my life. I like the sweet tone of her voice in the song also.

One song and Niki (55,435) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
My one song would have to be hands down "Fantasy" with ODB. It is one of the absolute best dance songs ever made in history (up there with the likes of "Thriller" by MJ). The song is timeless and represents the cool, calm and fun Mariah that everyone loves (rather then the uber rich diva that only some of the GP love). I totally agree with you, Niki. When Mariah just does Mariah and lets her creativity flow without trying to achieve something specific, it's magic. I honestly feel we had the new "Fantasy"/"Heartbreaker" in "You Don't know What to Do". That song was meant to be a number one. Timeless, fun, with amazing and level vocals, your three year old would love it just as much as your grandma. It should have been the second single after #Beautiful and helped launch the album when it dropped. Imagine that. No "You're Mine" or "Thirsty". It had the same throwback but fresh sound that cared #Beautiful.

1 Mariah song (55,434) by Bill from the UK
Well this is nigh on impossible for me to answer. I've been sitting here going through her catalogue thinking about which one song I would choose. So many come to my mind, but I think it would be All I Want For Christmas Is You. Christmas just wouldn't be Christmas without it. It has so many great memories for me, everyone across the globe loves it, it has one of her most committed and dynamic vocal performances ever, and it will probably be the one song of hers that people will remember her for, long after her and our time in this world is over.
