"It's Mariah's fault that AI failed" (53,221) by Ardis Logic from Earth Are you serious? This is so stupid. Nicki was the one who brought all the drama. Clearly it was a huge mistake bringing her to the show. The real reason AI failed is because it's totally lame. The people who win don't go on to be huge stars. They might get a 1 hit wonder if their lucky but that's it. Kelly Clarkson being the first was a little different but after that nobody really remembers these people. Then you have all these other singing shows that poped up after, that were diffrrent and had more interesting plots. So don't blame Mariah. It was just time for the show to be over. Emmanuel (53,218) by Elena from The Netherlands I was wondering the same thing. I don't know why, but I was always annoyed seeing her around MC. It seemed like she was around her 24/7 and that didn't seem healthy. There was always something "leechy" about her, but that is just my core feeling. Since she (and some other people of her former team) is not around MC anymore it seems Mariah is more down to earth and at ease. It's really hard to take a breath and be scared that a single note could fail and ruin the moment. As you grow your voice tone changes and she is facing that, please people don't expect the same quality cause we all loose something along the journey. Maybe that you used to smile a lot, or run faster, or even think faster, our bodies age and so our voice becomes lazy too. I am happy that true singers go to the show like Anita Baker, even Aretha sang [...] at one of her shows. Mariah is letting her legacy in a good place because these two women could never approve [...] or [...] or [...] as true artist, somehow they know how hard is to be on a stage belting songs rather than dancing like a freak. I was going to get that simply safe home security system, because I just moved, then I realized it's based on wifi sensors all [...] out the house. My German grandmother [...] walked around barefoot and worked in her garden. She would stand there literally saying "the earth gives me energy from walking on it". [...] intuitively she died in her tomatoes. Yeah, I think MC's pregnancy probably demanded she walk flat footed. I hope she does more of it because I started out as a dancer, I had a modern dance instructor that flipped when she saw my "street" shoes, that was the last time I ever wore anything over 2 inches for a heel, ever they might look great, but the danger to the ankles and your spine is just too great. I'd like to know more about the earthing bed mat too, there is a tachyon unit you wear as a necklace I think that blocks out all the frequencies. I was there (53,213) by OGmattyICE from US Just wanted to let this board know I went to the May 9th show in Vegas. (my first time seeing Mariah live ever) and I was extremely satisfied with the show. Being there solidified my thinking that Mariah is a true legend and seeing all her fans with me was quite overwhelming. I love seeing the dedication us lambs pay for her. I sat next to 3 girls who I didn't know and struck conversation and they were so sweet. Mariah's voice was spectacular. It wasn't perfect, but she definitely still can hit the belts/notes that no other artist tries to. It also is incredible that she shot 3 versions of the Infinity video afterwards and to know that I was a part of that is really cool. It makes me curious that if her voice sounds this good at 25 years into her career what it would've sounded like in the 90's. I wish I wasn't so young hahaha. My favorite part believe it or not was I'll Be There just for the nostalgia. Seeing Trey Lorenz and her singing together after all this time was beautiful. American Idol (53,212) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter It's so pathetic of Nigel Lythgoe to now call out Mariah and Nicki for the fall in ratings. I don't blame either of the ladies. The fight was exactly what the team wanted and they got it. Why bring two women either ways when they kept JLo and Paula as sole female judges? They could have just hired either Mariah or Nicki, instead of both. Both of them have a big fan following each so why hire both? Now they are trying to save face and throw mud at the two ladies. How about just keep it classy and say that they had a good run and end the show on a high note. What a tacky move. Good for Mariah and Nicki that they left. Plus the ratings probably fell way before. No one really even cared about JLo as a judge. I don't watch AI, I thought the show needed to end years back. It was getting tiresome plus it has way too many replicas now. If she came and stood next to me singing, I'd either faint right there or I'd try my best to turn my camera on and take a selfie but fail miserably because I'd have a serious case of shaky arms. This era is going pretty well for Mariah. She is quite focused and she is being interactive with the fans. I am unfortunately missing out on the fun but I am glad to see the pictures and videos and audios. Her stage setting looks so elegant and classy. Loving the props she is bringing on stage. Hopefully things keep going well. Next week we'll probably see a lot of MC. The BBMAs (I am so excited), Jimmy Kimmel and Kelly & Michael. I can't wait to see the performances she has lined up. There are so many benefits to Earthing. It truly is amazing, and feels so good. If anyone is curious to know more about Earthing, I made this video about it a couple years ago. Nick (53,207) by Tiina from Finland Mariah went against her better judgement by marrying Nick after only a few weeks of dating (and he left Nicole Scherzinger for her). Before that she always said that if she's to marry again she would have to get to know the person first. The whole world was shocked by their union. And then her friends said "He's a playa, slow it down." Everyone had a hard time believing she would marry some B-rated celebrity just like that. Because that's what he was at the time and certainly getting married to Mariah raised his status. I do think Mariah was genuinly in love with him and that he loved her too. In the beginning they seemed to fit well together and even though I've never considered Nick that funny (in fact I think he's childish) he seemed to make her happy. That is until he started working all the time (doing "some stupid shows" as MC put it in the Breakfast Club interview). "You used to be mister all about me, now you're just thirsty for celebrity." And talking about their private stuff like their sex life and celebs he'd banged and oh, naming his wife, the mother of his children, among the other women. Tacky and disrespectful. And let's not forget the interview with Barbara Walters and Mariah saying she only trusted Nick "sometimes". He's still being his tacky self referencing Mariah on his Instagram. First impressions Vegas / Anita Baker (53,204) by Billy from Greece From the first couple of shows, all I can say is that Mariah is looking gorgeous, sounds wonderful and is "present" once again. I don't want to assume too much, or sound as if I know what she's been up to as if I was sitting next to her, but she does come across as more involved in the shows. Also, she looks fabulous with the curly hair. Finally, it is so nice to see a great R&B singer and artist like Anita Baker being so supportive of Mariah, be it through social media or going to her concerts. Great camaraderie. I'm sure Mariah is hurt by the divorce, but other than that I have no idea what happened to end their marriage. True she did not come right out and say this directly, but you can read between the lines of her interview, in her music, and in the way she responds to questions being asked about him. If you want to believe that Nick and Mariah just broke up in a friendly way, and she was crying during concerts, and showing signs of being under great stress for other reasons than Nick, that is your right to believe that. I just speak from the heart. I follow what my gut instinct tells me. I feel protective over Mariah. I don't like when people take advantage of or hurt her. So I will speak out against it. Plus MC's short but polite replies whenever Nick is brought up speaks volumes. She really doesn't want to talk about him or give him any more media space. When asked what she thinks of all the praises Nick has showered her with recently, she just replies "that's nice" and moves on. Two words, more effective than all the multiple post spree Nick is on.
