Mastered for iTunes (44,114) by Gilbert from USA
Hey guys, maybe someone here might know. Why is it that the deluxe version on items for Mariah's new album state "mastered for iTunes" but not with the standard versions. Is there a difference?

Clean version or explicit version? (44,113) by Johnny from United States
I'm having trouble deciding which version to pre-order. I just switched my iTunes account over to the UK store to listen to the explicit version's snippets. I really don't like the use of the "n" world in "Money" and I don't like the "f" word in "#Beautiful" and "YDKWTD". It's weird but the older I get the less I want to hear that kind of cursing in my music. I'm also still not sure to go deluxe or not. I already have "The Art of Letting Go" that I plan on adding to the album. I listened to the two remixes and I'm just not sure if it's worth it. What do you guys think?

#9 iTunes UK (44,112) by David from UK
Not a bad start on the first day. I couldn't wait for the CD to arrive tomorrow so had to download it soon as I woke up. As always Mariah has delivered, this album is deffo one of her best.

#11 UK / Amazon UK (44,111) by Holly from UK
I've just been checking up on the chart positions and MIAM is currently outside the Top 10 in the UK at #11, however it is only release day and I'm sure it will climb. Amazon UK now have a 7-11 day wait on the UK deluxe edition. This is great news as it shows it's selling.

Promotion (44,110) by Stephen from London, United Kingdom
Besides the World Music Awards, is Mariah doing anything in the US this week to promote her album?

Finally here (44,109) by Musti from UK
I've been holding myself back from listening to the preview on iTunes. I've downloaded my pre-order this morning and just completed my first listen. I am amazed. There is a mature sound all over the album. Her singing is impeccable. Some songs find her going timbral, truly taking on the character she's portraying. Cry is a perfect opener, one of my instant favourites. My other favourites include Make It Look Good, Faded, Dedicated, YDKWTD, Meteorite, One More Try. Ok I'll stop before I list the entire album lol. I'm convinced the new single should be YDKWTD. Thirsty would be a great choice too but it seems more people have clicked with YDKWTD. Welcome back Mariah. Love you eternally.

New album is shocked and amazed (44,108) by John john from UK
Shocked and amazed by how amazing this album is. Started work even earlier - 6am Bank Holiday morning so I could listn to it in peace. I was blown away how fantastic it is. I hope it's a win on the charts, but if it isn't it's still gold in my eyes. Fav tracks are Metorite, You don't what you're doing, Supernatural and Faded. Very happy for 2 missing tracks to be added on the deluxe. I think they finish the album of great.

I can't help but find it (44,107) by Anthony Basco from Cardiff, Wales
Ironic that Triumphant was left off this album as, in my opinion, upon first listen, MIAM is a triumph. Wow. I am blown away. I seriously and genuinely cried when it got to the end of Cry (first impression - wth? Incredible song) and danced and bopped my way through until I got to The Art Of Letting Go (when I cried again). This is Mariah's most coherent album, and I can truly feel so many deep emotions coming from her. I feel it's her most "true" album after Butterfly. I feel so elated after hearing this piece of work. Mariah, I just want to say thank you. The Art Of Letting Go is the single most important song ever to me, for so many reasons, and I get a real sense of triumph over adversity in it, as opposed to be it being a sad song, I find it empowering (yes, I'd heard and loved the song when it was released months ago, and bought it naturally, it just seems even more powerful now after hearing the rest of the album). Thank you again Mariah. Even if you aren't even nominated, you genuinely deserve every best album award going. This album is triumphant.

Elena / top 5 albums / Me. I Am Mariah... (44,106) by Anthony Basco from Cardiff, Wales
Hey Elena, no you're not the only one who absolutely loves E=MC2. I always preferred it to TEOM personally. In fact, it's in my top 5 MC albums at number 3. My top five albums are:
1. Butterfly
2. Emotions
3. E=MC2
4. Charmbracelet
5. Daydream
That's not including MIAMTEC. Which I'm just about to listen to. Downloaded it around 2am last night and waited to wake up after a good sleep to listen to it fresh. Needless to say I've felt like a child on Christmas Eve. I'll post my opinions after a few listens.

Triumphant (44,105) by Bill from the UK
I didn't like Triumphant when it first came out, and I didn't listen to it for ages. Then, when the album's release was inching closer, I made a playlist on Spotify of her new songs for the era (Triumphant, Almost home, Beautiful, TAOLG and YME), and then the track grew on me. There's a certain urgency to it which is kind of cool, and I love her ad libs at the end of the song. It probably would never have worked as a single (especially lead), but I also think it deserved a place on the album. Really the deluxe should have featured Triumphant and Almost Home instead of the MOAIA rehashes.

Was Glitter so bad that it didn't make the list or did you leave it off because it's a soundtrack?

First listening to MIAM The Elusive Chanteuse (44,103) by Fahmi Mustaffa from Malaysia
Cry opens up the album exquisitely. I love how I can just immersed myself in her music and let our queen take me wherever she wants to with her vocal acrobatics. This will be one of her greatest era, and the whole world will know why Mariah Carey is Mariah Carey. She is irreplaceable and this album will be talk on and on for generations, being sampled and being a rich source of inspirations for other. Thank you Mariah. We love you.

Mariah delivered (44,100) by Roman from USA
It's amazing how one song will be stuck in my head one day and then just like that a song I over looked becomes my new favorite. Whether you like one song or not Mariah is a musical genius. For every person saying they like one song and not the other there is another person who loves the song you don't. Mariah has such a diverse group of fans that it would be nearly impossible to accommodate all of us, yet she did it. I'm so proud of her and in aww of how Mariah has grown as an artist and yet has always kept herself in the music.

TJ / Triumphant / E=MC2 (44,099) by Elena from The Netherlands
I dis not like Triumphant at first, especially for it being a poor kick-off single for the album, as it was back then. Later on, after hearing it in great quality on my iPod I started to appreciate it more and now I like it because of that strong hook. I'm surprised that a lot of people didn't like E=MC2; that is my favorite album of the Mimi era. It sounded like she had so much fun making the records and aside from the ballads (WBT style) it's very diverse. Cruise Control should have been a single, love Migrate, IBLYLT, That Chick, IWYW, TFN, OOC. I enjoy listening to that album.

Will from Australia (44,098) by Bill from the UK
Glad to have another MILG fan on here. I burned that one track to a disc so I could blast it on repeat whilst driving. I've never known a Mariah song to hit me in the way this one did. It works for me on so many levels. The old school sample, the vocal arrangements, how if you stripped out the music the melody sounds like it's from the 50s/60s. The rapid fire singing, Stevie's harmonica, the O Jay's sample, it is pure perfection. The greatest composition she has ever done.

Oh baby you know (44,096) by Elena from The Netherlands
I adore Dedicated, that line is stuck in my head. Possible singles: Thirsty, YDKWTD, Dedicated. Although Faded is my favorite track, I don't know if it would do good as a single. I hope she will do some excellent videos for this album, it really deserves some good visuals going along with these amazing songs.

MIAMTEC - second opinion (44,095) by Elena from The Netherlands
After multiple listens in different moods I started to feel attached to some songs. From the first listen it was Faded that really got me and it's still my favorite track, the production and her flowing over this track is amazing. When she ad-libs "Always somewhere but you're not there for me" towards the end, I can't help but wanting to belt that out with her. Basically the first 5 tracks are all genius then MILG and YME makes it go downhill for me, then lifted up by YDKWTD and what comes after that is pretty much just good enough. Only Camouflage stands out. A lot of people are really enjoying Meteorite, but somehow I don't see what the fuss is about that song. I get it's catchy, radiofriendly and very fresh sounding overall, but I can't help thinking that it could be a track that JLo would do or something. I do believe it could have an amazing dance remix if she would add new vocals and turn it up a bit more. In fact, I believe she could do some A+ remixes for a lot of the songs if they are re-sung. I hope she will. Heavenly is overproduced, only the outro of the song gives me the feeling of that gospel spirit she wants to bring. Supernatural would sound great with just guitar and MC and Dembabies singing over it. There is too much going on in that song. It's really great if stripped down a bit. Money is the album's lowest point. I really don't like it. All in all I enjoy listening to this as there are some true gems to be treasured for a long time.

New EPs on iTunes and Spotify (UK) (44,094) by Bill from the UK
I'm not sure how long these have been up, so sorry if it is old news. iTunes and Spotify have some new (old) Mariah EPs available. The Rainbow singles (Heartbreaker, CTTA, and TGIFY) as well as My All and three remix EPs for I Still Believe. One of which features the wondrous Pure Imagination Remix, of whose non inclusion on The Remixes album still has me scratching my head.

Me. I Am Mariah (44,093) by Holly from UK
Well, well, well, Queen Mariah delivers another knock out album. This is far better than MOAIA, I feel the whole album is very diverse and I'm simply loving the fact that it's very old school. I can hear vintage Mariah in so many of the songs. After a few listens stand out tracks for me are Cry, Faded, Dedicated, Thirsty, You Don't Know What To Do, Camouflage and One More Try. The surprise of the album for me though is Meterorite. To me it sounds like a remix. It reminds me very much of the Fantasy club mixes. It's good though and I think it's a grower. The only thing I don't like is The Art Of Letting Go being a bonus track. It's one of Mariah's best ever songs IMO. Also, the deluxe is a bit of a let down, recycling songs from MOAIA, especially when Mariah apparently wrote tons of songs for the album and could have given the fans a proper bonus like the deluxe release of TEOM.

Faded / YDWTD / Meteorite or Make it Look Good should be singles (44,090) by IheartMC from USA
If Mariah were to release any of the aforementioned singles she would have a big impact in Mariah fashion. Considering she does not re-invent her look that often, those singles alone show how she can re-invent her musically and try different things as an artist. I think of any of these singles aren't released her team should be re-evaluted because the singles she has released besides thus far aside from from #Beautiful which was golden pop/r&b music showed no growth. She is holding her herself back from the coveted #1 spot she so rightfully deserves judging by the body of work within this new album Me. I Am Mariah. What I do love about most about this album is that our girl M has given us all the fans have been asking for along with trying some new things. Whether or not this album is a hit, I think it's already a huge hit in material and quality. We love you Mimi. Long live the new era.
