Stevie's not singing on MILG (44,531) by RadChad from United States
It's actually Brian Micheal Cox that's singing the background on MILG. I believe they wanted Stevie to sing on it when they were creating the song which is why he emulated Stevie's sound.

Meteorite (44,530) by B from USA
I think Meteorite has potential. It's catchy and current. Imagine the remixes.

Promo the album (44,529) by Stefanow from Greece
We want a promo like that on The Emancipation Of Mimi album.

Mariah (44,528) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter

Webmaster if you don't mind posting this up. I just found this cute video of Mariah singing acapella while recording the new album. There are other videos on YouTube titled "Mariah acapella moments" or something along those lines which has compilations of her singing acapella on different occasions and those are fun to watch. You all can YouTube those videos if you already didn't.

PJW / singles (44,527) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
You make a good point about things Mariah says. And yes, it also bugs me that Stevie Wonder is not credited as a featured artist. The man is legendary, if I had Stevie Wonder even cough on my record, I would credit him on it lol. About the singles, I might be sounding negative in some of my posts but honestly YDKWTD is Mariah's last chance at saving her album and clearing up her image. If she doesn't go on promoting it and making it a hit, there is no other hope for her album. If this single under performs again, then nobody (except lambs) will sit around and wait for another single to save the album. This is it. I think 3 under performing singles (although the songs were great) due to lack of promotions should have taught Mariah by now that why she is not selling much copies.

Stevie Wonder (44,526) by PJW from The U.K.
I think the mystery guest was Stevie Wonder. They have worked together before as she recorded with him after E=MC2, didn't she? And his appearance on the album is a bit of a mystery as he's not credited on the track list so the general public don't even realise it's him. (It irks me a bit that he's not credited. He still made a contribution. Just because it's on harmonica doesn't mean he's not featured.) But also, I'd take some things Mariah says with a pinch of salt; she often says something and forgets she's already told us or already given the game away. I mean, she said on Cribs that she didn't want to show us Marilyn's piano after we'd already seen it twice two minutes before. She speaks to so many people all the time that she loses track and then it's down to the editors of each article to make something sound bigger than it is or unwittingly contradict her.

Considering Mariah Carey's new album (44,525) by Lee from UK
This article from Gawker is so spot on and well written. I could not agree more with everything that was said. I feel like the person who wrote the article is a reflection of myself; a totally realistic Mariah Carey fan with the same expectations. What a thoroughly interesting and enjoyable read. Thanks for posting this article.

Single situation (44,524) by Will from Australia
Personally I'd release YDKWTD now with a fun video with a narrative and probably very little of Mariah in it as her image at the moment is not doing too well with the public IMO. I could see that going top 10 and she should follow it up with Make It Look Good then and If YDKWTD goes top 10 I could see MILG going No.1. Hopefully she gets some Grammy noms and performs Heavenly there and smashes it. Then she releases One More Try in a rerecorded version ft George Michael. It's sad but I actually think YME is probably one of the strongest songs for singles but was released at the wrong time. I'd never release Meterorite as a single as I don't think it's radio friendly at all, clubs yes.

Benny Medina as manager (44,523) by JJ from Good Times from USA
Man, he is promoting/managing JLo's brand really well. He probably got her that award on Billboard awards by advocating for her. She is on many shows, gave a free concert that was talked about by everyone and is scheduled to be on Wendy Williams. I know it sounds lame, but a lot of people watch Wendy, and I'm sure they buy music. He is making people want to like JLo and making her look relevant. Well, I'm speculating here, I will admit that I wish MC had Benny and kept JD as what he does best, a good friend and producer. And of course I will also give JLo credit for her relatable personality. Also, the album has grown on me. I don't think Thirsty would be a good single. I like You Don't Know and the Stevie song.

Singles (44,522) by B from USA
Meteorite, YDKWTD, Make It Look Good, Dedicated, Money, and Faded. Meteorite, You Don't Know What To Do, and Make It Look Good are uptempo throwback feel good records. Dedicated, Money, and Faded are tailor made for R&B radio. These should have been the singles along with #Beautiful. I love You're Mine, it's a beautiful ballad with some of her best lyrics in years but ballads haven't been faring to well on radio.

Thanks Mimi (44,521) by B from USA
Thanks for the reply. I would love to hear Mariah and Justin's version of Yours. The album version is so beautiful and I love Justin so I imagine it's a real treasure.

Myles (44,520) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Lol yes another mystery added to the the long list of other mysteries surrounding this album. You are absolutely right about the album. It is great and there were 3 songs that I didn't really like during the first listen but I like and appreciate them now. There is nothing wrong with the album, what's wrong is with the promotion. Only hard core lambs that actually bother checking every Mariah fan page to see what she is up to know about this album. Can we blame the GP for not buying the album? Nope, because how would they even know about it? There is almost zero promotion. Whatever hype #Beautiful created died down and people probably thought Mariah just shelved the album. So basically the low sales numbers can be blamed on the lack of promotions. Makes me sad.

That rumor Christmas duet (44,519) by Isabelle from USA
The Broadway World article is not true. They just copied and pasted an article from a online troll that bashes Mariah, Lady Gaga, and other artists. Mariah is not working with the character from Frozen nor working on a possible third Christmas album. Buzzfeed wrote an expose about that troll. This is a reason why journalism and media are becoming lazy and not checking their sources to see if they are reliable.

B (44,518) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Ugh, well it can't be Fabulous because she tweeted a picture with him before that. And Wale, I am not sure, because she said in another interview that the collaborator is someone she worked with before but it wasn't released. That's where JT and the Yours remix arguements came in. But like you are right, maybe it was Wale, or maybe by collaborator she meant a writer or producer? Or she just shelved the song for a future album. We'll never know. Mariah has been particularly "elusive" lately lol. And as for Stevie, I don't think he was on the track, because Mariah said that he only plays the harmonica, and also joked about how she managed to get Stevie in the studio and yet did not get him to sing.

Mimi L (44,517) by Myles from CT, USA
Thank you. Sorry for the wrong information. Now I want to know who she is referring to. Oy, Mrs. Carey needs a boost. This album is actually quite good. My boyfriend is not a "lamb" per se but he loves the album. Those numbers scare me because I bought 4 copies myself and I know a lot of people who also bought multiple copies. I am confused and saddened.

Mimi (44,516) by B from USA
Maybe she was referring to Wale or Fabulous. I remember the JT debates, lol. Does Stevie Wonder sing background vocals on Make It Look Good? It sounds like it to me but it could be Trey Lorenz.

Myles (44,515) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
She said this in the Billboard magazine I believe. That was after YME was released. Well she said there is a surprise collabo that she can't mention yet in the Billboard interview and that was months after YME was released. Plus the Mary J Blige and R Kelly thing, everyone already know since 2010. So that's why I was confused. Every single collaborator on the album was someone we already knew about. So ya, confusion, confusion. Thanks for the help nevertheless. Both the MOAIA remixes were thoroughky disappointing.

Mimi L collabos (44,513) by Myles from CT, USA
I believe she was referring to Trey Songz in the You're Mine remix or the Mary J duet. Yeah, I was disappointed too lol.

Collabos (44,512) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Correct me if I am wrong but weren't there some talks about David Morales working with Mariah in this album? I am guessing it's a remix. Are we going to hear it or what? Plus I still need the answer to the question about the mystery collaborating. Mariah said it was someone she worked with before but the song was not released. And we all went on arguing the possibility and merits/demerits of it being JT. So who was it?

Martyn (44,511) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Hey. Well it hasn't been confirmed by Mariah, but I first read about it in someone's post on this site and then Mariah Daily Journal had a post about a possible video shoot of YDKWTD being shot (it's the 4th or 5th post from the top dated 3rd June). There are dancers involved so I am hoping it will atleast be a little elaborate and grand compared to her last to videos. Those videos kind of did not do justice to the song. I was especially a little upset with YME's video because she went to such a beautiful location and yet did not make good use of it. I was more pissed off when I saw the remix video was just an extension of the original. They also didn't have any scenes of both MC and Trey together. I know they couldn't get trey to the location but they could have done some additional shots in NY. Anyways let's just hope this video is great and gives the album the much needed push. Eventhough the album debuted at #3, it's not great news for MC because there are articles already going on highlighting how its one of her lowest selling album, which sucks because this album is actually a master piece. Plus it is falling in the iTunes charts fast, if enough boost is not given to the album while it's still hot and fresh, people will not bother with it later. As for your album cover remake, it was awesome. I also liked the little "the art of being fabulous" title lol.

Promotion (44,510) by thomas holt from Denmark
I just hope promotion will get started soon enough. She missed out on the World Music Awards, with it not airing on time, which hopefully it will soon. She promoted the hell out of Memoirs. She needs to give this album the same treatment.

Mimi L. (44,509) by Martyn from England, UK
There's a video already being shot? I didn't know that. Where did you hear this? If so, I eat my words. I just hope it's a good video (with a narrative) and that it gets the push it deserves. YDKWTD could be huge for Mariah with the right backing. And thanks (re: my TAOLG cover remake). It was only a bit of a joke, but it went slightly viral on Twitter with people thinking I was some insane superfan (okay, maybe I am ).

Similarities (44,508) by Danny Cedar from uk
"Chanteuse" reminds me of so many of Mariah's earlier work, which I think are little references. Cry reminds me of something from her first album, e. g. Vanishing. The arrangement and the very end reminds me of Butterfly when she sings "cry". The beat of Faded reminds me of Inseperable. Make It Look Good, Your Girl the way she sings it. Camoflauge, The Wind mainly the arrangement and vocals. Thirsty, Migrate, YDKWTD, I'm That Thick. Anyone else notice any similarties? Whether intentinal or not, it's very much down to the individual.

Dedicated lyrics (44,507) by Darryle from USA
Does anyone know if these are the correct lyrics to dedicated? Lyrics: Who's the greatest living that pasted away? I asked MC what she has to say of Erik B or Master P. I thought Master P was alive. Isn't he Romeo Miller's dad? I'm certain he's alive. Could someone help me out either I'm hearing things wrong or Master P is actually dead.

Martyn (44,506) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I get why you wouldn't expect Def Jam to do anything new for the album (with all the lack of promotion which basically ruined the album's potential) but there is a video already being shot with dancers and all so hopefully we will get at least one single (YDKWTD). Oh and I meant to write this before but I forgot, your TAOLG cover art remake was fabulous dahling.
