YDKWTD - excellent (44,505) by Lainsky from Philippines
I agree with most of you here. This should be released as the single and then Meteorite. But I really like Heavenly and Money.

Thanks Louie. Please let me know if you or anyone has planned to meet up. How can I contact you personally? I am from Quezon City too. Blessings.

No single (44,503) by Martyn from England, UK
I hate to be negative, but basically I don't think we'll get another single. Mariah has fulfilled her contract with Def Jam. Why would they spend money on a single release/video when the album has sold so badly and had so many poorly charting singles? Def Jam don't care about Mariah, and quite frankly, I'm happy the contract is over. At least she left on a high. The sales may not be great, but we all know this is her best album in years. As gutted as I'll be to never see a video for YDKWTD, I say let's enjoy this album for now, then [...].

Me I am amazed (44,502) by Jeremey Carey from United States
I'm not stressing over the charts. I paid for my copies of the album. I did what I was supposed to do as a loyal lamb who loves the music. I just wanted to say I think Mariah is so amazing for her ability to make me slowly fall in love with certain songs I didn't like when I first heard them. When I first heard One More Try, I didn't like it, but now I love it because of her. Mariah is purely amazing for her ability to recreate music and take it to totally different level.

Congratulation MC (44,501) by Raden Ratna Kesuma Joe-Yo from Singapore
"Me. I Am Mariah" debuts at #1 on R&B albums. For the record, The Elusive Chanteuse soar At #1 on the Soundscan R&B/Hip-Hop US album chart, #3 On Billboard 200 album chart, #1 on the iTunes pop chart in 33 countries including the US. Which marks her 15th top 5 album. So for those who think that the album is flop, please reconsider again your commentary here, even though her first week sales is low "only in the US. But that doesn't mean the album didn't sell well in the following week and week. So sit down and enjoy her beautiful music.

Lyrics (44,499) by B from USA
Lyrics like the Hollywood sign is calling you again make me think she's having problems with Nick. Most of the songs deal with the demise of a relationship. I think the honeymoon phase is over. It's sad because they have children. Part of me hopes they can work it out and another part of me thinks their differences are too vast to be bridged. She's private, he's not. She has class, he doesn't. Maybe it's the age difference. Who knows? I wish her the best. Unless some of these lyrics are about Derek, Luis, and Mark Sudak.

Jimbo from the U.K. (44,498) by Gerald from USA by the way of NYC
I just happen to read your post. I have to disagree with you. Mariah's interview with ML was actually for me one of her better interviews in quite some time. Also every relationship goes through its series of trials and tribulations but I don't think NC and MC are divorcing. I think people are just reading things the wrong way. As for the over the top dressing for simple events, I expect nothing less from MC, after all she is the elusive chanteuse.

Attack of the blame game (44,496) by Isabelle from USA
Some of you all are complaining and blaming Def Jam not promoting this album properly. With the mess that Island left them with they are clearly doing their best on promoting this album. The only thing that they are not able to promote this album properly is on TV. Most shows have went to summer hiatus. Promotion is scheduled is planned weeks or months ahead (ex. Letterman/Today Show/Time Square). The album would have great promotion if Mariah wasn't such a perfectionist, she would already had the album on May 6. The only thing that her label should be blamed is for the album not being released altogether worldwide and Jermaine knows this why would he retweeted that article from a fan journey to by the album. Others are blaming JD for his management skills, but he can't make Mariah do things that she is not willing to commit. He is the one that produced two of the stand out tracks that critics are enjoying. The only thing that can save this album is a hit single and Mariah willing to put effort. With the current state of the music industry, for her moving to one of Sony's labels will be a blow to her music career. She would be promoted as much as she should be promoted less of a indie/upcoming artists, having to her adapt to new A&R, it's not like she is coming back to the same record label that it was in the 90s with the same people she worked with. Plus L. A. Reid is the last person she needs to work with, he was the mastermind that influenced her to take Idol and the singles of the last two studio albums.

Meteorite performance (44,495) by Will from England
It's a pity that we may never get to see that performance. I hope Mariah's team will be able to get the footage and upload it to her Vevo account, since that seems to be the thing to do nowadays. It would help promotion in some way. What do you guys think? And congrats on the top 3 album debut and the #1 debut on the R&B chart.

Mariah's health (44,494) by Jimbo from UK
I was reading an article that discussed Mariah's visit to a park, dressed in a ball gown. It also referred to her recent trip on the New York Subway, again dressed in a ball gown. One of the readers' comments struck me: "IMHO, she has crossed the line from 'quirky and eccentric' to 'not well', should we be worried?" If a member of the general public is thinking this it surely must be a cause for concern? She doesn't seem happy in her personal life. Her NBC special revealed this. When Matt asked her to describe the place she inhabited emotionally right now she said that she's always been a pretty vulnerable person and has had to put up a wall as a defence mechanism, put it up and walk in the opposite direction. To me this implied that she has, unofficially, separated from Nick. Perhaps they will unconsciously uncouple? He was barely mentioned, and the interview ended with her reflecting on the need not to wallow in life's obstacles. Thoughts anyone?

This album has two legs to bank on (44,493) by RadChad from United States
There's two songs that can turn this album around imo. YDKWTD and Meteorite. If MC and the label give these two songs the international single treatment with great conceptual videos to go along with them (please God), then I believe not only will they be huge worldwide hits, but they will also give this album some legs. It's a matter of playing the cards right.

Next single (44,492) by G.G. from USA
I can't wait for YDKWTD to be released as a single. I think it will do very well. I wish MC and the label would release Make It Look Good as a single too. It would be nice to see MC and Stevie Wonder do a video together. I think MILG would do well on the adult contemporary charts.

I am Mariah (44,490) by Joseph Pelle from san jose, california
Is an amazing album charts and status whatever. Thank you Mariah for giving the lambs music we can love. I am feeling the nostalgic 70's Soul Train vibe of this album. Absolutely love Faded, Make It Look Good, Meteorite, You Don't Know, Super Natural, One More Try and Money. Way to go Mimi. Thank you so much.

Huge radio / video / remixes promo for You Don't Know What To Do (44,489) by Bobby A from United States
Lambs, Tuesday of next week, a huge radio debut of YDKWTD will take place. Let's make this song huge for Mariah next week. The video is going be something different than what we have been getting lately. The remixes are going blow up our speakers. Can someone create a YDKWTD promo banner? We can make this great song huge for Mariah and be the summer song of 2014. Let's do it starting now. Remember in 1995 when you fell in love with Fantasy and all of your friends were singing this song and bumping it in their car. Who is down with me and [...]?

Gilbert (44,488) by Lee from USA
I am with you on that. But the only problem with her not being #1 is that the haters have something to talk about. They won't try to do research on what's really going on, and instead, would tell their audience whatever they want to.

Cant Let Go (44,486) by Billy from England, UK

I still believe Mariah can still sing live fully like this. It would be amazing just to see her sing this again because I know she can. So beautiful.

Thank you Gilbert (44,485) by Chicago Lamb from USA
This is a great album, and it's for the fans to enjoy. Clearly, she worked hard on the album and we should be grateful for that. If it builds momentum later with a radio hit, that would just be icing on the cake. I do think she would be better served at Sony with L. A. Ried for future projects.

Mariah being on top (44,484) by Gilbert from USA
Okay, so Mariah is not at number 1. Why are some so bummed out? I think this is a great album and her being in the top 3 is pretty damn great if you ask me. I love Mariah but she can't always be on top at #1. Yes her company is lacking in promotion. The only thing we can do about that is complain about it. We don't know what goes on behind those doors or what she has to go through to get promotion. She gave us fans an album and I'm grateful for that. I don't care if she isn't at number 1 anymore as long as she is alive and able to make music that makes me grateful. She has nothing to prove to anyone anymore.

Mara from United States (44,483) by Carlos Jaramillo from USA
Thank you, Mara. It baffles me how the people whom clearly have no former musical or production education/experience so indignantly promote their ignorant interpretation of the artistry that is creating Mariah's sound. I sang professionally for a long time in my youth. I put out 3 Latin and worked with Dennis Nieves, the producer for Joe Granda, whom is most recognized for managing La India. I'm not at all trying to suggest I reached any kind of recognizable success but, in that time I had the good fortune of working in a "real", Universal and Univision recording studio. My voice was very, very powerful and, as a young, gay Mariah fan, I threw in as many Mariah inflections as possible (yet in no way comparable lol). My point is, when I was 18 and recorded music, I could record 3 songs in one day; perform live for hours and sounded just like my recording. I remember I got to perform at Calle 8 in 2001 and, they actually moved me from stage to stage singing a Marc Anthoy classic because the crowd was going crazy with me. Fast forward 17 years later, after so much weed, alcohol and just improper vocalization; the other day I was singing the ABC's to my God son, trying to add in all my usual riffs and inflections, pretending to be cute and, my best frind looks at me with this face and says, "What happened to you, man?" She crushed me. But it was the truth. Now, imagine a professional that is constantly, constantly "overusing" her vocals. I'm surprised she can even talk still.

Sony Music (44,482) by David from Spain
MIAMTEC is a great album but it's a big flop. I don't understand this "era". Mariah should return to Sony Music with LA Reid.

Hi Alain. I am here at Quezon City. We should meet with the other MC fans here in the Philippines. Great to see Filipino lambs on this fan site.

Just something funny I saw on the internet thought it might lighten the mood. It made me laugh when I first read it.
Q: What is the highest frequency noise that a human can register?
A: Mariah Carey.
