Chart performance (42,324) by Chicago Lamb from USA
We can't expect Mariah's singles to shoot immediately to #1. She has been around too long and those days are over. However, with a good song and proper promotion she can and will achieve chart success. YME is a decent song and is proving to be a slow burner. Let's hope it keeps climbing and will be in a good position for the album release.

Not having an album is like a baby without a bottle (42,323) by Me. I am Carly from USA
I am happy that You're Mine is moving up also, I knew it would and that is thanks to all the promotion Mariah did on radio. The negativity and the back and forth about Mariah just feels like a lot of frustration. The lambs love Mariah but are just so frustrated not to have an album or upcoming shows so there is a lot of moodiness about her.

Thank you. I created my own pop art canvas of Mariah a few years back. It proudly hangs on one of my walls lol. I really like this your avi though. I may have to get a print of that.

Aussie lamb (42,321) by Jacqueline N from Australia
Hi all. I'm from Australia and I collect Mariah carey cds, I've been collecting since around 1994. I am beginning to get quite a large collection, All of my cd/singles and LPs are Australian releases, for most of them I have 1-2 copies of each single, including old ones such as "If it's over", "Fantasy", "Open arms", "Hero" etc. If anyone is interested in buying some Australian release music from me please contact me, especially if you are having trouble finding something that is rare. My email is: bookings.jacqueline@gmail.com

To me it was a mixture of things of why it pushed back, it wouldn't be fair for me to say it is just ego. From the poor response to the lead single in 2012, to the rushing to get done while trying to promote the rising Beautiful, to the injury that was so close to or may have changed her physically, to the waiting to see what the public response is to a single. She is keeping everything so secretive and I kind of get why, it would be awesome if she cooking up a surprise double album. You don't want a surprise being spoiled that you have been cooking up for 4 years. In my opinion, the CD is coming out May 6, hell or high water, it has already cost the label to much money for producers, studion time, etc to not obtain a return. If this is the last album on IDJ, then it would be in her best interest to have a hit album in order to up the bargaining power on a new contract with the same label or a new one.

Thanks, got it off this site. It's a pretty cool and creative site where people post their work. Search Mariah and you'll find a lot of her pics transformed into pop art, comic, and sketches among other styles made by fans. Check it out.

Double album? (42,318) by Edward from USA
Raise you mouse if you'd like a double album. Even though I would love a double album, I rather Mariah release this album, and the next one within a year or two. She could actually chill, enjoy her twins and husband, tour, and then work on three or four more songs to complete the next one if she is not satisfied with what she already has. At this point Mariah must have more then 40 songs recorded. I hope she includes Kick Rocks on this one.

Thoughts (42,317) by clueey23 from USA
I loved MC singing Happy Birthday to B.Scott. I wonder do some of you guys ever get tired of thinking something is wrong, when it's really not? It has to be draining to think negatively or to create drama and problems that don't exist. Any who, I'm very happy with the performance on the charts with YME. I told you all it hadn't even began to peak. I would think that even if MC has an exclusive deal with NBC it will be sufficient promotion for this album. Today Show, Ellen, Jimmy Fallon. I would really enjoy a showcase on Bravo, an interview and stripped down concert of new material and some of her favorites from the past, along with stories about the creative process of this album. Maybe we'll get a title on 3/27, who knows? OAN, I love the background vocals of YME. That acapella someone posted was everything to me, thank you.

Butterfly (42,315) by B from USA
Butterfly is Mariah's best body of work. She seems to write her best songs when she's unhappy or her talent is being questioned. Has anyone noticed this or is it just me?

Delay (42,314) by B from USA
I highly doubt the album will be delayed. IDJ will release the album to complete her contract. I think the execs at IDJ have lost faith in Mariah. She has a huge fanbase but without the support of her label she can only do so much. If You're Mine (Eternal) had been given the same treatment as #Beautiful it would be a Top 10 hit by now. Instead it's slowly but surely climbing the charts because it's a good song.

Re: Bill (42,313) by ss from Canada
Funny enough I was listening to Charmbracelet and Butterfly the other day as well. I noticed some differences zoning out and taking in each song, like inflections and background vocal I never paid attention to before. Lately all I've been listening to is Mariah, everything else is subpar in comparison. Both albums have a timeless feel and they flow very well. We all know the epicness that Butterfly is, but Charmbracelet stands on its own, it sucks that it never was what it could have been. I think out of all her albums those two are her most personal, they read like an intimate journal, yet have so many parallels in terms of feel and content. They're both therapeutic in their own ways, I dunno how she manages to create magic with each album being consistent and having its own vibe whenever you're in a mood a Mariah album is always there to cure or help in any way. She does what most friends don't do and understands when know one else can, I guess that's why she is who she is, even when we're all miles away she's by our side. Speaking of anytime you need a friend, I totally get the pure and innocent thing with her first album, for me I find Music Box to be her purest in sound and innocent in her lyrics. Her first two albums were quite mature, although she still presented those two themes as well, and I feel she refined them in her third album. I guess that's why it's her most successful album thus far, she appealed to everyone universally at that time and in that magnitude.

The two times I met Mariah (42,311) by John from USA
I've been a huge fan since I first heard "Honey" in 1997 (not to mention that I was a 13 year old straight boy, so yeah, the video was nice too). When she came to NYC to promote Rainbow, I waited in line for 6 hours to meet her. When I got up to her, the guards kept saying "Mariah's tired, no autographs." When I said "I love you Mariah," she said she loved me too, and willingly gave me her autograph on my copy of Rainbow. Then, during TEOM, my friend won some radio contest, so I got to meet her again. This time, she wasn't wearing sunglasses, so I got to look her right in the eye. She held me hand, and looked me right in the eye as I told her how important her music was/is to me. She then signed my promotional copy of "Vision of Love". As I moved aside so my friend could meet her, according to my friend, she said (about me) "You're friend is very cute and nice." Life is made. And as someone else said, Mariah is stunning in person. She is on TV too, but in person, she looks amazing. She doesn't look "fat" on TV or in pictures, but in person she looks crazy thin.

Ego and fear (42,310) by Chicago Lamb from USA
Mariah could use more input from her star producers rather than just creating "the beat in her head". After the Glitter fiasco and subsequent idea rip-offs, she's afraid to let anyone (other than Jermash) in on the full idea and into the studio to collaborate (from start to finish) on the track. I wish her ego would not hold her back from working with other major producer talents. It's been the paradox of her music for quite sometime now. And a "real" manager would get her back on track for success with everything else that seems to be lacking.

The creativity of her fans (42,309) by Manny from U.S.

I just came across this amazing clip of a girl drawing a portrait of Mariah. I remembered when Mariah said "the creativity of my fans is unparalleled". She has other clips of other celebrities also.

Breakdown (42,308) by Brad Catoe from United States
It is really annoying me how these articles are connecting the song "Breakdown" with her breakdown. Ugh anyways have they ever listened to the song lol? I guess it seems to me like a cheap shot. Anyways sorry to bring up a sore subject. Haha.

Banished to a deserted island (42,307) by Ashley from United Kingdom
I read this somewhere and thought it would be a fun moment. Banished to a deserted island for life and I only get to listen to 3 Mariah songs. I choose Slipping Away, Breakdown and Honey - Classic Mix. What about you guys?

Bring It Home (42,306) by Alex from United States
To those of us who know the geniusness that is "Mariah" we owe it to her to show our support. Not everybody gets to grow up with an artist who you not only connect with but their music is the soundtrack of your life. 20+ years and more relevant than ever. This is our music and we should support the legacy. It took me literally 5 minutes to look up my local radio stations. I put their numbers in my phone and will continue to request You're Mine (Eternal). This is grass roots style but I hope we can inspire each other to bring Mariah's music back to the top of the charts.

SS (42,305) by Bill from the UK
I couldn't have put it better myself. I listened to Butterfly and Charmbracelet just this morning and enjoyed them as much as on the first listen. Yesterday I listened to The Ballads for some variety, and lately I have been enjoying the debut album more than ever. That's just something so humble and innocent about that whole record, the whole world was completely unaware of what was about to unfold off the back of it. Although the variety of producers do give it a somewhat disjointed feel, tracks like Alone In Love, Sent From Up Above, All In Your Mind are just as great as the singles. I've read some great articles about Butterfly and Breakdown which I will send to the webmaster in a hope he will share with the fans.

MC's legacy (42,304) by B from USA
Mariah is a living legend. She paid her dues. You're Mine and #Beautiful are Mariah doing what she does best, singing her heart out over mid tempo beats. #Beautiful was a hit and You're Mine is slowly but surely climbing the charts. You're Mine and #Beautiful are het best songs/singles she's released since 2005. Lyrically, You're Mine is a masterpiece. It has several hooks. It's catchy and I love it. She knows how to write a hit song. Rhianna, Katy, Ariana, and Bey aren't even in MC's league. Her only competition is herself and her hits.

Re: Bill (42,303) by ss from Canada
Yeah I love it as well, it's refreshing and reminds me how intricate Mariah's songs really are. Just thought I'd put a break in between the drama of whether or not the new albums going to be delayed or not. We all have her back catalogue to listen to while we wait patiently. Each day I find a new melody, harmony, transition, background vocals, or something different in her songs that I hadn't heard before. There honestly needs to be a master class in song writing and singing on Mariah, she's just a genius at what she does. We're way too critical, I mean she gives us her soul and we feel entitled to it. I'm just grateful new music is on its way if it's in May, June or July so be it. It's her music to give when she's ready to release it.

The album (42,301) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
Normally Mariah would release an album with less than 15 songs. If you recollect all the singles that she released as well as the song titles that she officially mentioned for the past few years then she would have an album that already completed and ready to be released and promoted. I really hope Mariah would named the album Hope Street. Let's take a look at the songs that are confirmed:
1. Triumphant
2. Bring It On Home
3. Mesmesrized
4. Save The Day
5. Almost Home
6. Beautiful
7. The Art of Letting Go
8. Thirsty
9. Dedication
10. You're Mine (Eternal)
11. Hope Street
