Obsessed and RJJ12 (40,933) by enwar00 from usa
I love Obsessed. And it's a clever little song isn't it? RJJ12 that's probably my favorite line in the song, especially because she's singing it kind of background and I had to read the lyrics to know what she was saying and died laughing. As far as a Chicago fan gathering or whatever, yeah you let me know when that happens lol. I'm jealous that the one coming together is all the way across a fricking ocean.

Mariah night (40,932) by enwar00 from usa
Last night was like a Mariah night. I listened to Butterfly as I took a power nap and then again when I was getting ready to go out. Needless to say I fell in love with it all over again and it hit the spot. Sure I was having a drink too so maybe it enhanced it. So later, the dj at the second bar I went to played Honey, and then not that much later played a little bit of Loverboy. I loved it. It's so awesome that after all these years Mariah's songs can still make me feel good, and I'm looking forward to hear the new stuff. Thanks for letting me share MCA.

Martyn / new single (40,931) by Edward from USA
Martyn, I think Mariah is going to shock us all. She already announced that the new single would be released on Valentine's Day. I do think that she will reveal some news about the album and possibly the video. I have a good feeling about 2014 for Mariah. I think the new album will be great, and she'll get some Grammy nominations for it.

Taylor (40,930) by Licia from USA
Gotta Thing for You is actually Da Brat's song .The song is on her Love And Limelight cd. I never knew she sang parts of What You Won't Do for Love. I haven't played this song in forever.

February 14th / that video (40,929) by Will from England
Yeah, I find it strange that after constantly touting that she will release the new single on the 14th, we've had nothing yet. It's only just over a week away! As for that video, she has the kind of money we all dream of, and yet insists on filming videos through a potato lol.

Mariah's video (40,928) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
So can someone clear this out for me? The video Mariah posted on Facebook, where she's swimming and yells 7 more days, is she wearing a mermaid costume? I couldn't see clearly, it did look like a pink/purple mermaid tail. I wonder if that's what she's going to dress up as for the new single's music video.

14th February release date (40,927) by Martyn from England, UK
At risk of sounding like a negative Nelly, is anybody else sceptical that the new single is actually coming on February 14th? There's been no news for a while, there's no planned TV interviews or performances, and the Showbiz 411 reporter said Mariah has an "announcement" coming on February 14th, which isn't really the same as a new single. Also, is February 14th even on the day that singles get released in America? Don't you guys release things on Thursdays?

Swimming in the ocean (40,926) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
Mariah posted a video where she was swimming in the ocean and shouted "7 more days". I really can't wait for the new era 2014. I can feel it, 2014 will be her second comeback year after 2005. Her activity of swimming in the ocean shows that she's been working out to get the best shape and swimming is also good for breathing and voice technique. She will bring back the voice to put the rest for all the lipsync rumors. She will slay 2014. I have faith in her.

Covers and new single (40,925) by Jeremey Carey from United States
I think it would be so amazing if Mariah and R.Kelly covered "Fire" and "Desire". Or "Closer I get to you". And the new single title sounds promising. If it's the real title. I hope the music video has a story so everyone will want to watch. Even though I love the #Beautiful explicit music video, every girl friend of mine thought it was a bit much. Id just love it if she'd kept it sexy and classy like the "We belong together" music video. I love how she is in the "Almost home" music video. I'd love a "I'll be lovin you long time" music video, since she was rumoured to film the video in Puerto Rico. I love #Beautiful and especially the remix with Jeezy. I think she should release the remix to radios this summer and the music video to promote the album. Unless she drops it completely. I'd still be happy with a fresh star!

Taylor / Commodore (40,924) by Isaac from USA
Well thanks Taylor, I didn't know that. I mean I, knew about "Got a thing 4 you", seeing it on YouTube and all and played a few seconds of it, but I didn't like it because of Da Brat so I stopped the video, lol. I do like "There goes my heart again". Even though she mainly whispers, but I like it. But next time I'll play the whole song. Glad that you like the song too. "What you won't do for love" is a song that suits Mariah's music and vocals. So I too would love for her to cover it. Commodore, I know "As we lay". It's another good song and one that Mariah could cover wonderfully. All these rumors about all these covers is getting me excited.

Covers / new album (40,922) by Commodore from USA
I feel like Mariah is gonna do some ol school R&B covers. I think the covers Mariah is doing are Dim All the Lights which she sung in a recent ustream video to Jermash lol. She song it more R&B than the orginal version. I also think that she will cover a Whitney Houston song but one of her unfamous song like a non single so people wont really compare the two divas idk. I also think shes gonna do Shirley Murdock's As We Lay, since she tweeted Shirley last year and said that was her fav song lol.

Isaac Ortiz: Bobby Caldwell cover (40,921) by Taylor from USA
I believe Mariah kinda covered the song for the bonus/international edition of Charmbracelet. She sang the chorus of the original as the chorus of Got A Thing 4 You featuring Da Brat rapping. The song felt more like a Da Brat song featuring Mariah, I feel, but her vocals are so smooth and sexy that I didn't really mind. However, I would love for her to remake the entire song.

Lamb_O_Chop (40,920) by Isaac from USA
Thank you for replying back. I appreciate it. And those are some great covers. I am a fan of Diana Ross as well. And I definitely agree. Mariah has done a great job with the many covers she has recorded. I'd be ecstatic if she covered "What you won't do for love" by Bobby Caldwell. I think she'd do an awesome job. Also, I'd love it if Mariah would cover a Michael Jackson song. "Shake your body (down to the ground)" or "Can you feel it". Who knows maybe one day it will happen. Yours, mine or any one else's. But for now I'm just excited for the new album. And I can't wait for the single and video.

Issac Ortiz (40,919) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia
Hey sugar plum. I believe I've profusely expressed my undying love for the fabulous "Do You Think Of Me" in a previous post to you (40,539), but isn't it a stone groove darling? A true gem I say. Right along with Slipping Away. Two of my many favorite unreleases by our queen. A song from another artist I would love to see Mimi cover is "Reach Out And Touch" by the supreme diva herself Miss Diana Ross (the boss), I'll also take a studio version of Love Hangover please and thank you.

Lamb_O_Chop (40,918) by Isaac from USA
Hey, I was curious and wanted to know if you have the song "Do you think of me"? The song "Slipping away" was the hardest to get, but I have it. And still to this day I don't know why it wasn't put on the "Daydream" album. Also, I'd like to know, if you could pick one song for Mariah to cover or remake by an artist, what song would it be?

RJJ12 (40,916) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Aww thanks RJJ. If I make a mistake I don't mind apologizing and what's sweet is the others realized their faults and did the same. Lol. Mariah taught us well to keep things classy. What is funny though is people are "disliking" our apology posts using the thumbs down button lol. I mean come on! I also agree with your post about Obsessed. It was as great song and a major diss on a rapper who has been dissing other people for years and I don't think any other female artist stood upto him. Only Mariah could diss someone and keep it classy. Remember the Madonna episode?

Obsessed (40,915) by 123 from USA
I'm a guy and I love this song. When I heard it I thought, what! Mariah snapped! From the clever play on words (MC to MC, when you need an MC), to the slick talkin lyrics, and the super hard beat. I loved how they started mimicking a Dre production by playing the heavy keys at the 3:30 mark of the song. The icing of the cake was "you're all up in my George Foreman (grill)". For someone who most people brush off as pop fluff to pull off such a hot dis record, no other female in the game could have pulled off this song. Especially not someone who started off singing soul ballads. This song shows off her versatility as a singer/songwriter/artist. If anyone else would have attempted this, it would have come off cheesy.

Mimi L., Lamb_O_Chop, and B (40,914) by 123 from USA
I think it is awesome that you all cleared up a misunderstanding while being very classy about it. There are times where there is a lot of bickering and jabs being thrown back and forth on this board by others and it is refreshing to see people work something out. More fans, including myself, need to follow your lead. Hats off to you three.

Mimi and B (40,913) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia
Mimi: Ikr this whole ordeal has been a huge embarrassment of a mess and it's all your fault darling! No, I'm just joking love. Atleast we've all cleared that air and managed to actually agree on something. Yay lambs united. B: Im sorry again boo, I initially thought you were male, but somehow the notion got lost in midst of the trainwreck. Haha. Lets just start completely over. Any-who I love you both even more now.

Apologies all around (40,912) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
B and Lamb O Chop, I guess all three of us misunderstood each other's posts and hence the embarrassing situation. But oh well since all three of us took turns to apologize, all is fine and well from my side. Great to meet other Mariah fans! I don't care if MC whispers to me or screams at me, I just desperately want a new album full of her voice. Let's all be excited for her new album together lol.

Obsessed (40,911) by Manny from U.S.
I love "Obssessed" and the video. I like how it was a shot at M&M. It's a fun song and video not meant to be taken too serious. When I was in college, my schoolmates would sing it when a particular professor walked in to class. The lady was a self-absorbed megalomaniac. I started singing it one day and told them the song reminded me of her since she thought the world revolved around her. So it stuck and it was an inside joke. When I listen to the song, it reminds me of those days. When out of boredom from school, I made Mariah reference jokes. Lol.

Sorry (40,910) by B from USA
I re-read that comment and can see why Mimi thouht I was talking to her. It was meant to say Mariah not Mimi. I agree that those reviews of Charmbracelet were harsh. It was during let's take her down and kick her while she's down. Kisses and hugs. BTW, I'm a guy, lol!

Isaac Ortiz / Obsessed (40,907) by Sunshine Divalamb from Germany
Well Isaac, that is your personal opinion, that's fine, I just laid down some facts about the song and also saying that a lot of people, doesn't matter guys or girls, love it and listen to it a lot. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's her worst song.

B from USA (40,906) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia
Well, I deeply apologize to you dear, I should've probably waited for your response before commenting on the assumption. I hope there's not a hard feeling. So lets just make my statement that I indirectly directed towards you a just general statement now. (*hugs and air kisses*)

Special moment (40,905) by OGmattyICE from US
I guess I'm one of those people who don't go to the movie theater all that often, maybe twice a year at best, but I just went to go see Anchorman 2. I thought the movie was horrible and wouldn't recommend it. But there is a scene later in the movie that saved me from walking out, and it's a scene that starts with the music playing a clip of "Genius Of Love" by the Tom Tom Club, and at first I thought it was Mariah, but it was just the original version. But just thought I'd share, it seems like everywhere I go, I can't get away from Mariah. I guess it was just meant to be. I love her so much.
