Special moment (40,905) by OGmattyICE from US
I guess I'm one of those people who don't go to the movie theater all that often, maybe twice a year at best, but I just went to go see Anchorman 2. I thought the movie was horrible and wouldn't recommend it. But there is a scene later in the movie that saved me from walking out, and it's a scene that starts with the music playing a clip of "Genius Of Love" by the Tom Tom Club, and at first I thought it was Mariah, but it was just the original version. But just thought I'd share, it seems like everywhere I go, I can't get away from Mariah. I guess it was just meant to be. I love her so much.

(Clutches pearls and bats eyelashes.) Why that was sweet of you darling! Thanks for clearing that up because I was totally lost and hadn't put two and two together. But after reading your explanation, I believe you may be correct in your assumption. And if infact Ms B was referring to me, then I redirect my message to her and will also add that calling my opinion on an album and vocal style (in which I voiced respectfully) "bleak and ignorant" is quite childish and unnecessary. You don't have to agree, but there's no need to be rude and desrespectful about your difference in opinion. Sidenote: I loved Charmbracelet and Memoirs, and probably listen to and enjoy songs from those albums more than the others. Do I want her to whisper through a whole album? No. But I do appreciate that register and just want to acknowledge that. I love when Mariah uses every part of her voice effectively, and wouldn't want her to just sing one way all the time. Whether it's belting, whistling, or whispering. The fact that she has so many different colors and textures to her voice is the reason she's my favorite singer of all time in the first place.

Obsessed / new album (40,903) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I love obsessed! It's a fun song, very catchy and summer-y. Even my non-Mariah friends really like the song. I don't really mind the auto tune. It's one of those songs which prove that Mariah is capable of catering to different audiences and different types of music. Also I agree with clueey, I loved Memoirs (every single song) along with some of the amazing remixes we heard from that album. About the new album, it seems like the indirect promotions have already started with collaborators dropping Mariah's name in recent interviews. As someone pointed out on this board, it must not be a coincidence that all of a sudden people are talking about working with Mariah right now. I'm so excited for the new single!

B, Lamb O Chop (40,902) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Alright, so I read it wrong. I apologize to both of you. I personally don't have anything against either of you. About the Isaac thing however, I agree.

I was not talking negatively about either of you. That comment about bleakness was aimed at Issac!

Obsessed / thoughts (40,899) by clueey23 from USA
I love "Obsessed". I think it was cool for a female to come hard like that to Eminem without being a rapper. Like that whole song to me, shut the whole Eminem situation down. It was a perfect hit song at the time. "It must be the weed, it must be the e, cause you be popping hood, you get it popping." Lol. My favorite live performance was in NYC, I remember it streamed. But MC dips down when she sings the line, "ain't gone feed ya, I'mma let ya starve" and puts that bravato on "starve". I loved the "Memiors" album though, it was grown and intimate in a way. I love every song on that album. And seriously wish they would've treated it right. The remixes from that album that were fantastic, "Hate U" "Ribbon" with Ludacris and The Dream and "inseparable" with Trey Songz are my favorites. Wish would have gotten the "Angles Advocate". I wish we could've gotten it for free or just released. And they should've promoted "Angles cry" with NeYo and "Up out my face" with Nicki. Like the songs should've been on radio. That's when I begin to realize radio sucks and only focuses on certain songs and artists. "Up Out My Face" video I still watch it to this day. MC reminds me of a politician that wants to do so much, but can only do so much because her hands are tied.

That was well said Pablo. I couldn't agree more.

Obsessed (40,897) by Pablo from Spain
I'm a guy who listens to Obsessed quite a bit and enjoy the song. It's one of the few songs I actually listen to on "Memoirs" (the others being Betcha Goin Know, H.A.T.E. U and Up Out My Face). It'd be nice if people would learn to not use "all or none" statements about Mariah as we all have our likes and dislikes of her song. (I don't like Dreamlover, Emotions or Hero, but I don't begrudge the Lambs who do like them and don't say "only this type of fan likes this song".) People are individuals and like what they like. Heh, it's funny that I love Charmbracelet, but Memoirs is probably my least fave album.

Lamb O Chop (40,896) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Sugar pie, I personally do not think your posts are bleak or ignorant, darling. I have nothing but love and respect for you honey bear. When I specifically asked if B was referring to you, it was only because you were the only one (up until that time) to reply to B's last message where she wrote that Mariah heard the bad reviews of Charmbracelet and came up with We Belong Together/TEOM. Your reply was something like Charmbracelet's reviews were bogus and that people blame Mariah no matter if she sings in her lower or higher register. Which, by the way sweetheart, I completely agree with. So no hate cutie, just thought of clearing it up. I could be wrong though.

"Art of letting go" and "Somebody that I used to know" (40,895) by Critter from USA
I happened to hear these two songs back to back and suddenly wondered if Mariah may be channeling it a little bit. (Probably not.) Anyway, I enjoy both songs very much and thought I would share what occurred to me. Cheers.

Dreamlover (40,894) by Bill from the UK
Being a UK fan, hearing Mariah on the radio is a rare treat. When she is played, it's usually an adult contemporary station playing Hero. I was waiting in all day for a delivery on Wednesday, and had the radio on (Magic 105.4 for those in the UK). I almost peed my pants when I heard the first bars of Dreamlover playing! I haven't heard that on the radio here since 1995! The only songs I've heard in the last ten years are Hero, Without You, I'll Be There, We Belong Together and of course AIWFCIY. Just thought I'd share the highlight of my day.

Memoirs vs Charmbracelet debate (40,893) by lil star from untied states
(Both albums are criticized for there use of whisper register.) I for one prefer Memoirs to Charmbracelet. I find it to be more cohesive and it contains some of Mariahs sharpest lyrics showing her fun side while also showing adult contemp moment. But I do think Charmbracelet is superior in its vocal moments and AC ("Through the Rain", "I Only Wanted", "Clown", "Subtle Invitation", "Bringin' on the Heartbreak")songs, but it lacks in its hip hop r&b moments, sounding out dated even at the time ( "You Had Your Chance", "Lullaby", "Irresistible", "Yours") . I think it would be perfect if she had mashed the two together making the perfect MC cd, changing some songs to more full voice and removing the auto tune from the Memoirs songs . I mean a CD with "Subtle Invitation" and "It's a Wrap" a 1, 2 punch to Eminem of "Obsessed"and "Clown"
Playlist
1. "Betcha Gon' Know (The Prologue)" (no auto tune)
2. "Obsessed"(no auto tune)
3. "You Got Me" (featuring Jay-Z & Freeway)
4. "H.A.T.E.U."
5. "Inseparable(FT Trey Songz)"
6. "Clown"
7. "Standing O" (no auto tune)
8. "More Than Just Friends" (fuller voice)
9. "Ribbon"
10. "It's a Wrap"
11. "Subtle Invitation"
12. "Angels Cry"
13. "Through the Rain"
14. "Bringin' on the Heartbreak"
15. "Languishing (The Interlude)"
16. "My Saving Grace"
Thoughts?

Sunshine Divolamb (40,892) by Isaac from USA
"Obsessed" is her worst single. The song was auto tuned and sounded bad. Mariah's voice is too beautiful for that. Also, you play it because you're a female. I was referring to guys. But even if I was a female, I still wouldn't play it.

Taco Bell (40,891) by clueey23 from USA
Standing in line at Taco Bell and "Open Arms" comes on. I think this is fantastic because normally I only hear the original version of this song in public.

Mimi L darling (40,890) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia
My dearest darling. I seriously doubt the fabulous B was referring to me, because for one we've never had an exchange and secondly I don't post "ignorance or bleakness". Just thought I'd chime in. Carry on my dear.

You and I (40,889) by clueey23 from USA
"You and I" is one of the most beautiful loves songs I've ever heard. "Talking Book" is my favorite Stevie Wonder album of that era. MC was amazing that night. I love the undubbed version so much! Please everyone listen to the undubbed version. I love the blending in the background in that performance. It kinda sounds like Stevie in the backgrounds. I can listen to this all day and night. And I agree, this is one of her best cover moments ever!

Ready for sing my heart off along with Mimi (40,888) by Alejandro Cole from Colombia
We are very close to the new single release date, and if you are a true lamb, be ready to sing your heart out, to play the song while you drive, to request it at your local radio station and off course to buy this new album that is a gift from our dear Mariah.

New single (40,887) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
We are getting closer to the release date! I can't wait to hear the new song. I can't understand from the title whether it's a slow ballad or a dance/club/party song. Either ways I just desperately want a new song (possibly some re-sung remixes, yes I am being greedy), a new music video (preferably a well thought out video with a good concept) and finally the main album. Since she already shot the video, I am hoping she releases it on the same day. MC I want you back on Number 1!

Ender (40,886) by Stephen from London, United Kingdom
I've been saying that for years. Quite simply one of the best performances and vocals of her career. Her version of that song really touches me.

B (40,885) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
When you wrote "Mimi" did you mean Mariah or me? Because if you were referring to me, I think you are mistaken, because I think you mistook Lamb O Chops' reply for mine. Just wanted to clear it out. Now if you were really referring to Mariah, this message will just make me look stupid lol.

Get You Off my Mind (40,883) by B from USA
Get You Off my Mind, if that is the title of the new single I like it! It could be a ballad, midtempo, or uptempo. She knows how to write a catchy, huge chorus and Get You Off my Mind has major potential. Mimi, what I was trying to say is MC pays attention to what her fans and critics say. After the Triumphant debacle she came back with #Beautiful, her best single (song) in years. MC knows how to play the induistry to her advantage. She's a pro. She was married to the CEO of Sony. Think postive, happy thoughts. No more bleak-ness or ignorance.

Hi webmaster. I was trying to change my avatar but now for some reason when I click on My Info the avatar is just blank and each time I try to put a new pic I see it saying fake path. Do you know how I can fix it? If not it's okay. Thanks.

This is what you are referring to: to help raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital you can win a trip to New York where Mariah will give the winner and a loved one a private concert at her home on Valentine's Day.

Last night (40,879) by Myles from CT, USA
I had a dream last night Mariah dropped two previews of her 2 new singles she was releasing to radio. One was a great pop song and the other a slower but amazing and moving cover. I wish I could remember the damn song! It was so magical and then I realized it was not real.
