Bring it on home (39,953) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
It was never mentioned if they were going to release it as a single or as part of the album. I think it was just meant for Obama. I think Barbara Walters did not really know that. (I can't be sure though.) I hate it that Almost Home didn't do better. I love the song, it's so beautiful and motivating. MC actually could have released the album by now. #Beautiful did better on Billboard than "It's like that", she could have followed it up with a strong ballad and then just release the album. I think all the remixes were a bit pointless (espcially the one with A$AP), because it didn't really help the song.

Her accent is so good. She's even speaking in a different key. Casting directors, take note.

What on earth are you saying? You really want Mariah to go back to what she felt was prison just so she can have a hit? I'd take any Mariah song anyday and not care if it's a hit or not. It is frustrating that she or her management is being a little sloppy with this album, but that doesn't mean I want her to divorce nick and go back to Tommy. If you are a true MC fan you should learn to appreciate her music regardless of its chart position.

Bring it on home (39,949) by Manny from U.S.
I was watching random Mariah videos on YouTube. I came across "Bring it on home", the song Mariah wrote for Obama. I totally forgot about this song and I started wondering the story behind it. I remember Barbara Walters said this could be her next hit. From all these sporadic releases, it does make be wonder what is going on behind the scenes with IDJ. Do you guys remember if "Bring it on home" was supposed to be released?

The master plan (39,947) by enwar00 from usa
She tried to get attention by falling during her video and faking an injury, and then she got attention and finally released a new song. Since the song didn't make the Hot 100 and it's a flop, I don't like it. She needs to fire everyone that works for her and also divorce Nick Cannon, he ruined her career. She should get back with Tommy Motolla, he'll build her a time machine so that Sing Sing wasn't burned down and he'll make her have hits hits hits. Then I'll probably like her new songs.

Minaj? No (39,946) by Bill from the UK
TAOLG isn't about Minaj. Why would Mariah waste her time and give publicity to somebody like that? It's about Tommy, because at the improvisation on Jimmy Fallon she said as much in the ad-libs, about being forced to wear long dresses and all that stuff she still has a hang up about. Memoirs indicated that she sure can hold a grudge, so now she's acknowledging that and how she is letting go. I actually thought the song could be taken both ways, i.e. Tommy letting go of her. We all know after their divorce he actively tried to derail her career (and succeeded, somewhat), so now that the tables have turned somewhat, maybe he needs to let go of her. Or they both do.

Not Nicki Minaj / Alain's post (39,945) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
The song is definitely not about Minaj. If anyone listens to the lyrics, especially in the second verse, it's clear that its aboutt an ex lover or former friend (I'm leaning towards the ex lovers, seems more appropriate). And the "bundle of your possessions, outside the kitchen window" is also a clear indication that's it's an ex lover. I agree with Alain. A lot of people are saying that MC released the song "as a gift to fans" so if that's all that matters, she should just release it (she doesn't need to prove anything). Her singles are being released with no proper schedule. I fail to comprehend how an artist of Mariah's level can have such sloppy management.

New album (39,944) by Lainsky from Philippines
I am just wondering and I really don't get it why MC and IDJ just release an album like what she did in 2005 and instead kept releasing singles that are seems nowhere to go. If TAOLG is a new album and really intended for the die hard fans and lambs like me, then why not just release it so people's waiting time for this album will be over? Whether it will sell tremendously or will flop buy her or the music industry's standard, then so be it! The intention for the album release is for her fans. If it will capture the old fans and the new ones then good. If not, that's okay! She has nothing to prove anyway and nobody stays on top forever in any kind of industry. Just maintaining the image and identity and leaving a legacy and I believe MC has achieved that. I hope IDJ and MC will read this and stop teasing us, her fans and people with these singles or songs. I am not mad or anything, just clueless about what our girl wants to do with her music.

Really? (39,943) by Lyric from USA
I find it truly amusing that some folks think Minaj is on Mariah's mind to the point where she pens a song about her. I suppose Minaj's things are at Mariah's house, which is why it'd be set outside the kitchen window? Please give Mariah more credit than that. Minaj is not relevant enough to the point where she infiltrate Mariah's music.

Carly Gemelle from USA (39,942) by Gilbert from USA
I thought the same thing Carly. Not too long ago after listening to the songs quite a few times then I thought this song may have to be about Nicki.

It's not about Ms. Minaj (39,941) by CHAZ from USA
Sorry Carly, it's not about Ms. Minaj. How do you explain, "Gotta lay all your possessions outside the kitchen window right now," and "I hope you don't get no ideas about reuniting baby." Don't think MC would call her "baby". Clearly not.

Don't think is about NM (39,940) by Marcel from Montréal, Canada
I mean trifling is just someone worthless your time, can be a b**ch or anything, but is not mostly a girl's word. And what about the liabilities? I don't think the whole phrase can be applied to NM. If she says is telling what she's been through this last three years, then it must be about someone she believes betrayed her, someone who promised something and it wasn't true. I don't know, but I don't think NM would be worth a song. What I have noticed is how MC doesn't likes at all to be tied to Walter Afanasieff, she even wrote that she composed and produced AIWFC all in capitals like trying to convince people that it was all hers and then goes on to talk about where are you Christmas and then she mentions the incredible talented producer she co-wrote the song with. That is bizarre and rude at the same time. And worst after all of the positive things Walter has always said about her. Anyway, I thought lyrics on TAOLG would be deep and well crafted but they weren't. Still a nice track though.

TAOLG (39,939) by TJ from Norway
Hi! It's not popular at all on Spotify. I am not the biggest fan of the beginning of the song, but it gets better toward the end. Well, it's free on Spotify, good quality. Stream it!

"The art of letting go" is about Nicki, and American Idol is not a love song (39,938) by Me. I am Carly from USA
I am totally convinced that "The art of letting go" is about Nicki. Somebody you used to know (Nicki) is no longer in your dominion (on Idol), trifflin (woman say this about another woman, usually not lovers). The song is not a love song, and Mariah said she was having a bad day in a bad mood and it was very real, but that she wrote it in a way that everybody could relate to (to appear to be about a partner).

Latest live performances (39,937) by Carol from Spain
Regarding Mimi's latest performances, BET was mostly lipped due to a last minute change, you can look for the explanation given by the president of BET when the network celebrated its anniversary. I don't consider that much of a big deal, actually. Mariah can lip TV performances as much as she wants, that doesn't make her imperfect, makes her human. Live above it, people. Good Morning America: The whole thing was live, with imperfections at 8 am, she still did it. It was dubbed later on for the re-run of the show, but I believe that it was the best live performance of WBT. everyone remembers that one, forget the rest. Queen right there. HOT97 Summer Jam was completly live, improvised but live. Nothing to say. AI Performance, what was wrong with that? Nothing, live but poorly edited by AI people. Some heads should roll with that one. Jimmy Fallon was completly priceless: runs, high notes, chest and head voice. The one and only bad ass chick MC. Australia Tour de Force was completly unpredictable and the proof that the world still needs a Mariah Carey tour. Mariah has it, Mariah can do it. let her be herself in her music. Don't criticize so much.

New material is a gift (39,936) by Tony from Ireland
I'm reading some of the comments here and I'm not sure how to feel about it. Maybe I am listening to a different song or to a different artist, because I don't see flaws on TAOLG, and it is exactly what I was waiting for. And of course fans are comparing her material, she has a style and that's why most of us fell in love with her in the first place. It doesn't matter that after her pop era was coming the hip hop, and even Glitter was for me a masterpiece and still I'm playing the record at home, and I'm more that exited about her releasing new music, it doesn't matter if is a Christmas album as long as she brings something new, I will be in heaven.

TAOLG (39,935) by Alejandro Cole from Colombia
I love it, Mariah is no longer making number one songs, she is just making what other artists refuse to do, and that is true music. She took the time to release a song for me, for you for all the lambs, a song that would have no much impact but definetly will mean the world for me as a lamb, so she is smart, she is making happy the people who really care for her and will mantein her career and guarantee longevity. Enjoy this song and make it part of your life, that was the main reason of this recording in the first place. By the way, this web site rocks! So #pow.

Jaker20 (39,934) by Tory from Australia
Umm no it wasn't clear, in your second message yes it was, but the first was not. Sorry I couldn't read your mind lol. Forget Idol, what about her BET performance? That was the worst reception to a Mariah performance in years. She had an even bigger opportunity to sing #Beautiful and she lipped it. Not only that, she was absent for 75% of the performance lol. Imagine the media's response if she lipped the entire song, forget about #Beautiful failing, that would be her career dead and buried six feet under. TAOLG's success (or lack thereof) has nothing to do with #Beautiful, fact of the matter is that this album is taking too long to complete. It would be fine if she wouldn't keep mentioning it on FB and Twitter since last year. If she was quiet about it and had her singles lined up with a definitive release schedule, the reception would be better. There were too much breaks inbetween her recent singles, and considering how short the public's attention span is to music now, people aren't caring for her new music. Idol was a wasted opportunity not because of the performance, but for her relevance in the public eye in regards to her new album. No shade.

Alicia Keys (39,933) by Orkun from The Netherlands
Just a wild guess, but TAOLG suits Alicia Keys better and I feel like they actually collaborated on this song and a duet will follow as a remix version. I don't understand the Vision Of Love comparison, other than having no chorus. I do believe she does need to prove herself actually. Not as a vocalist, but as a songwriter. If this is the direction of the album, it's not good. I don't think she should sing jazz at all. She should do pop and remix it with r&b, not hip hop. To me, it all sounds so uninspired. If they are clever, they do not shoot a video. Ariana Grande is recording now with Babyface and Walter Affanasieff. I'm a gamer. But Mariah isn't. My heart breaks to see this. The critics are always positive about her songs, yet the songs fail. Either the critics are corrupt, or they don't know music, which I doubt. Stevie Wonder listened to the song, yes. But we never got to hear if he liked it. I'm just blowing off steam. These eras are messed up.

Relax, will you ? (39,932) by Carol from Spain
Discussions over stupid stuff. This is why I don't go to forums much: fans argue about the chart topping stuff istead of music content. She delivered a powerful son, a beuatiful song, can't you just enjoy it and be gone with it? It's enough when some pages discuss the fact TAOLG didn't get airplay this week, forgetting the song was never released to the radios (or chosing to ignore it). Just don't demand too much of Mariah, i think she earned the benefit of the doubt. Personally, I'm just glad she is still eager to make and deliever music, not following trends. For me, that's enough reason to be happy. Relax, will you?

By Tory (39,931) by jaker20 from US
Yes it was, I'm sorry you didn't undestand it. And even if it wasn't clear then, I made it clear in my next message. She should have sang Beautiful only instead of wasting time on medleys. It is one of her last big stage performance and it's a wasted opportunity. Worse, the medley/performance was poorly received and that's not good for the new single. Beautiful is still being played, but I believe if the promo had been better, it would have done much much better because it's a great song, and in effect, the anticipation for this next single TAOLG would have been higher. The fact that the song isn't impacting at all shows lack of excitement. In entertainment, you're only as good as your last work.

Re: Zachary (39,930) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
This is awfull news, Zachary. I once was in Croatia, and I felt on my body how they treated gay people, they hardly got any hotel rooms. Move to Norway is my advise, here gay people can marry in church. I don't know if Mariah has the time to focus on gay rights in Croatia, but it's worth the try, good luck.
