#Beautiful still growing (38,299)
by enwar00 from usa
| |
|
|
For me personally, I like how they're allowing the song to grow and build week after week, releasing an explicit video here, a remix there, rather than rushing out a second single. It seems to be more enjoyable, for me, and is definitely building up the anticipation for the album. Like it's making the era last longer. I know a lot of this is based on how a song is performing and is being received, but I feel like a couple years ago in general it seemed like a second single was being rushed more often and earlier prior to an album's release. Anyhow, only one month and some odd days left for the whole thing.

Beautiful radio version (38,298)
by Licia from USA

Yesterday I heard a longer version of the song on the radio. There weren't any extra vocals, but there was a long instrumental at the end. Has anyone else heard this version on the radio?

Is it really happening? / Stephen (38,296)

Mariah and Miguel are soon to release the #Beautiful remix. Could it be a longer version with a bridge and more Mariah vocals on it? I am so waiting for this remix to be released, maybe next week. For those of us who thought that #Beautiful was good but too short, it would be a great surprise. I can't wait. Stephen, sorry, but Miguel is taken.

Seriously? I wanted a solo MC style, but if the tune is dynamtie, then I can live with it.

The Art of Letting Go (38,294)
by Randy from USA

I like the title. It means we'll have introspective ballads like Petals, Right To Dream, Outside, Languishing, Looking In, Vanishing, Close My Eyes, Twister etc. Those are my favorite songs by her for the most part and I'm intrigued more than I was after the #Beautiful release. I hope Triumphant (Get Em) doesn't make the tracklist and #Beautiful is the weakest track because it bores me to tears. I wonder what work she's doing with Miguel now. I'm bored with this collabo and I want her to shine without tapping a current artist as if she's trying for a hit. She's ridiculously talented as a songwriter and I want her to shine all by herself. That's all.

I agree. I think it sounds like the title of an epic album. Although, in the past Mariah has done "working titles" which turn out not to be the actual title in the end. So, I guess we all just have to wait and see. The title reminds me of the type of songs Mariah's released in the past. Vanishing had more Mariah and less collabo. Then there's the song Mariah started writing right after her Thanksgiving Special in '93 which took 4 years to finish - Close My Eyes. Especially after having babies, you're forced to grow up in ways you didn't realize you weren't. This sounds all good to me.

MC (38,292)

I'm mad I have that visual in my head of MC and Miguel now *cringe*, but yea I agree that we or Nick don't have anything to worry about, if you get Stephen's drift. Even though I think MC have the power to covert. George: I feel you, but at this point we shouldn't even bothered being bothered by it. Because MC will be showing it off as long as she can get away with it. I said at least she looks good. I see the album title have people taking: good, bad, indifferent. I think it's a good thing people because people are talking period and it's not flying under the radar. If it was a typical title, it probably wouldn't be a topic of conversation, so I love it.

Jimbo, don't worry, Nick is old school and got a chaperone on Mariah and Miguel. I think Miguel seems to admire Mariah a lot. You can see it in the way he looks at her. He is also getting lots of exposure by working with Mariah. I have heard people say in the music industry: if Mariah calls you to work with her, you've made it. I am sad she and M&M couldn't produce any music together.

The title was somewhat confirmed by Jermaine in a tweet. As for the album cover that has been passed around, I think it is a fan made version, just based upon the photo that Mariah posted on Instagram.

The single is doing better than I expected. I think releasing a remix will propel the single in to the Top 10 on the Hot 100 and most likely #1 on the R&B chart. Mariah looks stunning in the black bikini.

She is not the person that would creep around. If it was J Lo or Madge, then I would agree with you. Besides, Nick goes to all of these clubs which are full of half naked chicks while Mimi is home taking care of the kids. How come there are no pictures of that? The paps are less willing to follow Nick around than they are when it comes to Mimi. By the way, I don't care about the album's name, only the music. And another thing, how come Rolling Stone has not said anything about #Beautiful yet? Usually, they are the ones talking the most crap about anything Mimi puts out.

They were making a video. I think Nick went home because he's still promoting his show, but the kids were there in another boat. Also Miguel has a girlfriend whom he is very much in love with. I don't think there is anything to worry about.

New video pics (38,283)
by George Golden from UK

Wow. Mariah is not going to let go of her "sexy" image. It's just too much now. Every video does not have to be a bikini photo shoot. Why? Is someone in her camp sabotaging her, making her believe it's the best way to market herself? She is beautiful, but it just seems she is seriously insecure. Really why? You can be sexy without being too revealing. This image is really taking a lot away from the talent. Non fans will always crucify her for her insistence on looking like this. I don't understand, really it's just frustrating. Leave a lot to the imagination. That's much more sexy.

"The Art Of Letting Go" sounds very pretentious, and the Zimbio cover looks rather dated. Please Mariah, don't go with any of these.

Remix on the way? (38,281)
by Will from England

Seeing how Mariah seems to be filming a new video with Miguel, it's more than likely that she's readying to release the remix. The timing of this release hopefully will keep up the momentum of #Beautiful until the new single is released and then the album.

Album title (38,280)
by Musti from UK

Honestly, I don't really like it. It sounds a little cheesy to me, and I've grown not to expect that from Mariah - Music Box, TEOM, #1's (if I'm not wrong, she was the first to start the #1's album trend), etc. It still hasn't been confirmed by Mariah's camp but it's very likely that AOLG will be the album's title. But again honestly, I couldn't care less what the title is. I'm so hungry for new material that I'm already sure this album will be my favourite since Butterfly.

On one hand "The Art Of Letting Go" sounds like the title of a self-help book from Deepa Chopra to me. On the other hand, it sounds like a great title for a song. I hope she has a good remake, and that some of the songs sample some good retro music. Not too crazy about this album title. .

Does anyone else find it weird that Mariah is on holiday with Miguel in Capri? Where is Nick in all of this? And why is Mariah going into the Blue Grotto with Miguel instead of her own husband? Is she letting go of her own husband? I'm worried.

The title sounds far more intriguing than MOAIA IMO. When I heard the title for that album, I was like "hmmm, sounds interesting", but with this one, it really caught my attention as a serious standout title. It's so different to her other album titles, even when compared to TEOM or even MOAIA. Very excited for this era.

I wonder what kind of cover art we'll get. The article posted by Zimbio on this website with her in the pool looks amazing. I'd love a facial shot ala Music Box, Daydream, etc. We'll see. So can't wait for the album to drop next month.
