Hey Edward don't ever put Secret Love in the same sentence as Sprung or Crapfinity. That's disrespectful. Lol.

This just shows that when she adjusts things to her current vocals that she can still sound good. That little clip made me like Hero for a second. Lol.

I'm hoping she sings The Distance live and gives us vocals like she did during her Fallon performance of The Art Of Letting.

I hope it is a great, strong bonus track, but isn't better than the worst track on the album. That way, we wouldn't feel so disappointed that it didn't make the cut.

Actually, only the hardcore fans are genuinely interested in Ari's life. Since she came back this year, she has been everywhere non stop, and judging by many comments on her social media and videos, it's either they're already sick of her lovelife or they just don't really care about her personal life anymore, as all they know was that Pete was just a rebound guy as she wasn't really over Mac yet. Anyone could have seen the engagement being called off less than a mile away. Tabloid fodder rarely translates to over a week of worldwide iTunes and Spotify domination. Interest may have been behind the initial spark, but the fact that it's still doing so well, even better than No Tears Left To Cry did, shows that it's already bigger than her. People actually relate to it. And it actually has a great message and attitude, especially knowing how songs about exes these days are pretty much expected to be negative, they're basically cliche.

I have been keeping up. Believe me I have said it on other social media sites before on this one. I said it long before you all said it on here. I was just attaching my theory model to what I predicted when Amazon posted 10 tracks. Thank you, next sugarplum. I still love you.

I really was hoping for a deluxe version of "Caution" with at least four or five extra tracks. So far I like what I've heard, but it makes me a little disappointed that there's only 6 more tracks left. I hope the Japanese bonus track is not just another "Sprung", "Secret Love" or "Infinity" type of track, fingers crossed.

I'm pleasantly surprised with her voice here. And the note change in "and the sorrow that you know" is really good. I wish she had done it in her live performance.

This isn't good (albeit it not as good as I thought it was going to be). The piano should play around the vocals and not be so on the nose. But the extended ending gives life to reindeer.

I think you were confusing the Brenda situation with Whitney. Mariah was refused at Arista Records because she sounded too much like Whitney. Brenda and half the artists at the label were fired to promote Mariah. Columbia was a part of CBS Records, but they went through money troubles and were bought out by Japanese owned Sony Music. Mariah was promised the biggest promo since Bruce Springsteen which would've been worth 15 million, but they didn't have it. By the time 1990 came around they had to get rid of most on their roster to come up with 6 million to promote Mariah. When her debut became a success with 2 straight #1's Mottola was promoted to head honcho from his VP status beginning in 1991. Critics joked he should thank Mariah for his success which is why he hijacked Mariah's "The Wind" project and turned it into Emotions. Then, he stopped promoting her as a songwriter and producer. He wanted the world to believe Mariah was his creation due to that ego bruise he never got over.

It's not the music, it's the public's interest in her private life. Her ex Mac Miller died from an overdose and she left her fiancee of two/three months who she got engaged to after only a month of dating to mourn Miller's death.

Yup, she sure was showing us that plastic Barbie Mariah booty on the back cover. Overall the most untouched and life-like photos plastic Barbie Mariah ever released. The actual doll was supposed to be out that Christmas. Clothes sold separately. But Tommy put a stop to all the plans.

Webmaster, I get that you wanna get everything nice, properly capitalized and spelled, but the correct title of the song really is "thank u, next". Yes, all in lowercase.

So Ariana is predicted to debut at #1 with the grateful kiss-off track after 5 years of trying with the most polished, calculated and commercial pop attempts since Katy Perry. It's sounds nice, it's cute. But it also make you think of just how bad top 40 music is these days, when a song this which could easily be considered filler on any Ariana Grande album can top the charts. It's also weird that something as light and airy-fairy as this is a bright spot in the mostly bleak charts. Unnecessary profanity aside, I guess it's sentiment is a great contrast to Taylor Swift's standard brand of lethal songs about her exes. Its success shows that you can get crazy personal while still being relatable to many young women. Good for her.
