Some people on this board should take a good look at their lives and drop the obsessive negativity. If you aren't any longer feeling Mariah than you should find another way to fight boredom. Continuously expressing ones frustrations about how Mariah is letting you down doesn't make you an authentic yet disappointed fan but rather defines you as a sour pickle. GTFO. Re: Worst Mariah song (84,210) by Billy from Greece I had totally forgotten about "Little Snowman". That is a weird song right there. I think I have listened to it one time, if not less. Other than that, I don't get all the hate when it comes to "Infinity". It's ok to me, though I don't listen to it that regularly. The similarly much hated "Boy" is also ok as far as I'm concerned, though the chipmunk vocal annoys me, but I also find interesting how she structured her vocals in the verses. There's a subtlety in the groove and I consider it more of a ''transitional" mood piece in CB. But, yes, choosing it as a single instead of "The One" was totally stupid on behalf of Def Jam. I enjoy that Mariah, but we all know what verbosity did to TAOLG. Story wise, it seems to be a sequel to Love Story. This better have a good chorus or else we're pretty much doomed. She started as a singer who didn't really see acting as a goal until she made it big and realized the opportunities that were now available to her thanks to fame. To an actor at heart, there would be a much longer list of things that they are willing to do to further their acting career than the list that they would consider deal-breakers. Getting Mariah out of her comfort zone highly depends on how comfortable she is with the people she works with. She only agreed to de-glamorize herself for Lee Daniels. She would much rather work with the usual producers. She would rather look all made-up than just casual. She is a creature of habit who will clearly choose familiarity over new experiences any day. Sounds like Love Story part 2 (lyrically and musically) - not a banger for sure. Too short to judge but you kind of can see where it's going. Here's hoping for a big catchy chorus to save it. I have been a life long fan every since I was a child. I would like to be able to download but I don't know how. I wish the record stores would sale CD singles and albums in stores. Mariah the "actor" and "artist in the MTV era" (84,194) by John from USA Mariah is a woman of contradictions. For someone who has a strong desire to act and be in motion pictures, she complains about having to be "de-glamorized" for her role in Precious. Don't real "actors" relish the idea to transform into another person and be transported to a different world than their own in a movie? Similarly in music videos, she seems content in music videos where she just looks sexy, shows her ample cleavage (we know you have boobies, Mimi), and cavorts/humps different furniture. Wouldn't someone who has "acting aspirations" actually strive to have more challenging and engaging videos with actual story lines where she could have the opportunity to "act"? Odd indeed.
