The Butterfly Returns (83,016) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City) I think with that show in particular Mariah has more creative control as far as the set list where as with the first residency it was based on promoting the #1's. Hopefully she changes up the set list for the fans enjoyment and as finds the right balance to satisfy her casual listeners and critics who would only prefer the hits. Also it would be cool if she tried some different arrangements with some of the song selections. Hopefully she takes all these factors into consideration as the residency goes along. Re: Mimi from the block (83,006) (83,015) by tracey from australia I think if you watched the video, you will see one of the dancers behind Mimi is moving the big box, hits the box she's sitting on with his butt as he skims past behind, knocking it over (was terrible timing as was the exact moment she lifted her leg off the floor). Nothing to do with Bryan, however if the boy wasn't super quick it could have been a huge disaster. (83,014) by Lee from UK The more videos I see of this current residency, the more disappointed I am with Mariah. If you get the chance to see the #Beautiful performance, you'll see Mariah clearly waiting for the backing track with the pre recorded adlibs to start. She begins to lip sync along, realises it's not happening, fills in with some mumbling/singing and then looks overjoyed when the pre recorded high notes begin. Who does she think she is fooling? It makes her look ridiculous. Not that she cares as she is laughing all the way to the bank. (Sunday 8 July 2018; 00:14)

Then when the backing track kicked in for the climax and Monroe was trying to talk to her, Mariah was like "no no not now, what have I told you about talking to me when the key change starts". Or with Mariah and a guitarist on stage doing it a bit simplified country. There is so much Mariah could do. I'd be happy to manage her. I think this show is less pressuring for Mariah since she doesn't have to sing all the number ones like on the CD. She's more free, can take her time with the songs and save her voice for the big moments. A show like Vegas is all about pacing yourself and Mariah knows how to do that. She's a true professional. Sometimes we should remember ourselves that she only missed one show since starting this extensive touring back in 2014. It's quite incredible I believe. Peace. (Saturday 7 July 2018; 14:24)

Yes (83,004) by Edouard from France 1#s to Infinity was a very difficult show to perform. All those number ones, so embedded in everyone's collective memories. I realized Mariah felt the need to perform them as close to the original as possible. When you think about it it clearly is the most challenging show she has ever performed. With The Butterfly Returns she gets to play with the songs more. She sings album cuts and is as pressured to sing them exactly as on the album. It allows her to take her time with the songs and save her voice for the songs that she wants to sing exactly the way they are meant to be sung (Hero, Vision of Love, etc.). Hence she's more relaxed, more at ease, more creative also. Ronnie said it feels more like the Rainbow tour. I totally agree. This tour wasn't her best vocally, but her spirit shined through compared to her previous tours. She gives less here and there, but she also gives more when not expected. The way she sang MIT happen last night is a great example. She played it safe but got creative and sounded healthy. I loved it. (Saturday 7 July 2018; 14:14)

Gone girl (83,003) by 90sMariah from SG It's really hard to watch her struggle to sing her songs, the voice I fell in love with is truly gone. The once velvety, multi-layered, agile, beautifully round, elastic, free-willing, explosive and resonant voice is now replaced with thin, dry, achy, nasal, limited, staccato. It's sad really. Mariah's voice (82,998) by Anonymous from I agree Andrew, really not feeling Mariah's tone nor the strain. I would rather her sing the bare minimum at a concert with ease and tone instead of the belt and shout method. Props to Mariah though for singing in lower keys, obviously she knows her limits however these tones are not what I feel in love with. So glad Mariah's back catalogue is extensive. I'm no vocal expert but I do wonder what her voice would be like if she took at least a year's break with the best of the best vocal coaches. I notice even more so in her performances that our dear Mariah struggles with her breathing. If someone could explain this I'd be most grateful. (Saturday 7 July 2018; 10:22)

Also wanted to correct myself, Fantasy still has heavy lipping and she was actually caught, she tried to compensate by doing those adlibs I mentioned. I'm staying completely objective here, so it is up to you lambs to decide whether or not it was adequate. I'm so excited for this album. I want some tea to be spilled. (Saturday 7 July 2018; 02:36)
