I know right? He was just giving them math lessons along with shopping fun. Roc's hair is iconic, but I'm thinking it might at least need a good trimming.

Roc kept looking at Nick like he wanted to tell him "It doesn't matter how much money I got left because if it goes over you're buying." Lol. They are too adorable. I so wanted her to put that hundred in her pocket so she wouldn't lose it.

Roc and Roe are really smart (81,128)
by RibbonB from USA

I just caught some of the cutest IG videos of dem kids shopping for toys. They are adorable and I love that Roc can add and subtract in his head like that. Why was Roe dangling that hundred dollar bill like that though? How cute, they were shopping for their little brother's birthday presents. All very cute kids and more importantly, they seem happy and smart. [

I hope it's fresh, good, interesting because I am still shook by Janelle Monae's new music. And I pray for fun and creative videos and looks this time around from miss Mimi.

Butterfly vs. Ray of Light (81,125)
by Randy from USA
| |
|
|
I love the album but I complete disagree. Ray of Light is not better than Butterfly because it's not inclusive of as many genres as Butterfly. But the album is a masterpiece. In my opinion the best albums of all time (the 90s are all that matters lol) are. 15. Mariah Carey 14. Whitney Houston's My Love Is Your Love 13. janet. 12. The Waiting To Exhale Soundtrack 11. Janet Jackson's The Velvet Rope 10. Aaliyah's One In A Million 9. Celine Dion's Falling Into You 8. Mariah Carey's Music Box 7. Mariah Carey's Daydream 6. Jewel's Pieces of You 5. The Mis-Education of Lauryn Hill 4. Madonna's Ray of Light 3. Sarah McLachlan's Surfacing 2. The Bodyguard Original Soundtrack Album and #1. Mariah Carey's Butterfly

B, he wasn't comparing, it's just his favorite album of all times for obvious reasons, it was great and the soundtrack to a beautiful time in his life. I don't think it should be compared to "Butterfly" because those are two different albums. Both are great, and people would pick depending on taste. I would pick "Butterfly" over it, but I enjoy "Ray of Light".

The ones / Do you know where you're going to (81,123)
by MusicfanJ from Germany
| |
|
|
Since there's no new song from MC, I listened to "The ones". It's unbelievable how many recognizable hits Mariah has. Sometimes as a fan you forget how long her journey has been and I'm so impressed that at a age of only 29 she's made music history with all the number ones. And a lot of her best songs weren't even released as singles. I thought of one song especially. It begins with M. Other question: Is anybody on the board who also loves "Do you know where you're going to"? I think it's a very underrated song.

Madonna's music isn't my taste (never was), but I don't skip "Frozen" or "The power of goodbye" if it's on the radio. Great pop songs, I have to admit. The producer of "Ray of light" also produced an album for Katie Melua, you can tell he has a special sound.

Ray of Light is Madonna 's best album in my opinion but saying it's a better album than Butterfly is blasphemous.

I just saw an article on Billboard about it turning 20 and am listening to it now as we speak. To me it's a masterpiece. Came out during a window of my life that was heaven so there is that nostalgia factor attached as well. My favorite album of all time, above even Butterfly. Sorry Lambily.

Groups should not be judged by the actions of a few a**holes. But equally groups should not claim to be collectively victim when an a**hole treats one or a few of their members badly. Hypocrisy is not part of intelligent discourse and just makes people put their fingers in their ears. I do agree Mariah needs to release an album. 4 years is a bizarrely long time in Mariah's world. There's so little left to talk about, even the lambs are possibly giving up.

No news (81,116)
by Lainsky from Philippines

Not that I do not want to hear anything from Mariah but I am glad somehow that there has been no news about her (or I just missed it or this archives missed it) for almost a week or more. I hope she just stays low and make noise later with the new single and then album. I miss her and her music and I do hope many people, lambs or not, feel the same way and be excitedly anticipate the upcoming release.

Charmbracelet bracelet (81,115)
by Susana from USA

I believe there was some discussion a while back about Mariah not wearing her bracelet from the Charmbracelet era. It looks like she posted this on Instagram. Does anyone know if this is a recent pic? The "ring" doesn't appear and it also is tag #TBT, so I would assume it is not a recent pic.

RJJ12, I didn't get the sarcasm, that's all. I've never been able to comprehend why a whole race/group should be judged just because some natural-born a*holes happened to be part of that race/group. But as you said, moving on. It's time for Mariah to record at least a whistle and release it, we need some music, like, yesterday. lol

It's called sarcasm Eddie. I said it to make a point. That if I did in fact do that, I'd get jumped on about it. But I see that fired you up didn't it but everyone stays quiet when racist comments are thrown around. And Sheila, for the record, is part of the gay community. I guess you can call it self hating. Everyone jumps on her for her derogatory comments yet no one says anything about Andrews. It's a double standard as peoples responses to my bait proved my point. Moving on and have a blessed day.

I watched the undubbed Hero ft. LP and I agree. There's actually so little difference you have to question if it was worth dubbing it. That performance of Hero is somewhat moving - even Mariah's part has some certain other quality to it I can't quite put my finger on.

Talking of moving on from tired topics and hypocrisy, how many times are you going to say you think Mariah should work with The Weeknd, Miguel, Bruno Mars, Happy Perez, the Smeezingtons, et al.? Why not develop the topic and debate whether these people would actually work with her.

That snippet is so good. Thanks for sharing. I loved "Sweetheart" since the release. It's still such a cool, relaxed song. I want a version like this snippet. Mariah singing while giving autographs, a true diva and one of a kind (I mean it positive). Lucky audience.

It def should have been. She needed more live performances of the song without any lipping. Had she not had the accident she could have continued to push the song. The whole album had hits. Hoping for more great songs that get a ton of promo. Sony put a bunch of promo behind Crapfinity. Hopefully they will put that much and more on a solid song.

I love the vocal on it. No whispers. She sang it full voice and stayed her sweet spot, that middle register. It's a nice uptempo that she should add to her set list as most of her catalog is ballad heavy. I know a lot of "old Mariah" fans that reference that song as a fav and say she needs another song like that where it's uptempo and she sings it straight.

Thanks RibbonB, you know you're one of my favs here. I'm so here for Sade btw and I need that Toni album. I hope she has a sexy sultry jam like Clockwork. It should have been a single but she backed out since it leaked. She should have released it anyway as only people on blogs heard it and her general audience still doesn't know of its existence. I need a Mariah song for the summer. Just one. A hot uptempo.

I agree. If MIAMTEC had been released when the single was at its peak it would have been her 19th #1. It's one of Mariah's strongest singles in years. I hope she works with Miguel and Happy Perez on her next studio album. Obssessed would have also topped the Hot 100 if MOAIA had been released when it was at it's peak as well. Both singles are certified platinum. Those delays caused both albums to underperform. Hopefully, Mariah has everything in order when she release her next album.
