She brought her staff to both events although I heard that she and her entourage arrived at the night soiree as the event was ending. Better late than never I suppose. I'm not big Beyonce and Jay Z fans, but they were serving looks all day yesterday. Nice to see Mimi wearing her Oprah "youngun" earrings earlier in the day. Oprah really needs to throw another legends ball. The first one was epic.

I'm surprised he got to go to both events. Lol. I keep saying Mariah can tame those tits when she wants to. They are out, but she still looked nice. Us big breasted gals have to know the appropriate times to show an overwhelming amount of boobage and when it's appropriate to strap those bad boys down. Lol.

Girl leave my baby alone. You know he look fine as hell in that suit. Tanaka is simply gorgeous. That dress Mimi has on is banging. Don't get me wrong I get so tired of seeing Mariah's breasts but she gets a pass with this dress. Team Tanaka.

Oh Randy Randy Randy. If you watch the CTTA live version at the Billboard Awards and other performances, the climax has a massive background chorus verse, also. Honestly, I don't see the problem with it. What you receive in a live performance might need to be a little bit more grandiose than on the CD (showing my age). As smoke and mirrors go, I don't think it's anything to worry about. In some cases, the CD versions might have actually benefitted from the later live additions. As long as what you can hear of her voice is coming out of her mouth, who cares? If I wanted to watch someone lip-sync I'd watch Drag Race. TTR is a very slow, plodding number. Anything to spice it up for live performance now gets my vote. And I'm still waiting on those flowers.

Most threads stem from Mariah-centric topics. And I was attempting to make a wider, more sweeping statement in light of the recent polemics from certain individuals on this board who scream racism, fascism and misogyny etc. at any given opportunity. This is all mostly directed at me, from their far-flung boring, hippy little squats in life (give it? then take it). However, I do have to side with them in this instance (I'm sure others are typing Mariah posts out about Migrate etc. right now, don't worry). The last post I made had two mild jokes censored - jokes far less offensive than other stuff I and other people have posted. I side with them, because, Eric: wagwan? Your "censorship" is as confusing to me as it is to my detractors. Joking that Mariah's breasts are "chest investments"? Go on, post it, and let's see if it receives ire and ignominy - I'm genuinely interested. Apparently people do have the right to not be offended, here. I am offended by some of the claptrap and outright untruths and propaganda some people post here. I don't cry over it, I argue it. What a sad little world it is when offence becomes outlawed. When humour becomes the subject of intense scrutiny and forbade. You are essentially stating that the status quo is a utopia for which we should all be grateful. I appreciated Edward's lamenting the loss of interesting topics and, essentially, spice. What do you want here? Because what you say and what you do, never quite marries up. In my favour. And not.

Girl you know Mimi needed an assistant on both arms after attending both a brunch party and a "linner soire" in one day. Her manager JayZ has a lot of pull no doubt. Her evening look was cute.

Strangely, I didn't like the outfit where the girls were sleeping, but I liked the one with the girls out - strange because, like most people, I'm truly tired of seeing her [censored]. And Tanaka always seems to look good. That guy could wear a sack and "make it look good". Their outfits don't match in the evening, however. [censored]

Hold the phone, Bill: as your great-grandfather was on the Titanic when it sank, Tijl isn't permitted to mock Celine Dion singing "a song about a sinking ship" and an apology is sought from him? I assume you have written strongly worded letters to James Cameron vilifying him for making profit from the death of people (nobody alive today ever met)? My great-grandfather was shot by a German - what should I tell people not to make comments about? Germans? That would only leave the French lol. Sometimes I despair at the world some people try to make us live in. You don't have the right to not be offended. Whoever says you do - and there's a lot of them on this board - is misinformed, especially if they think the world's population is binary and divided into "lovers" and "haters". Ahem. Think I've had some of Randy's splashes. I enjoy your posts usually, anyway.

Five things (80,692)
by George Golden from UK
| |
|

If I was Mariah manager I would suggest this five things for her to overhaul. 1. Single choices have to be big uptempo tracks and big epic ballads as album cuts. 2. One ballad as a final single off the new album. 3. No more male rappers. If she must have a rapper she could use a female rapper. 4. No more tasteless music videos. 5. An album like Donna Summers "She works hard for the money" would be amazing for her now. Big uptempos and meaningful songs. Not finger snapping slow jams.

Pre Grammy party looks (80,691)

Both looks won for me for different reasons the first look for the Roc Nation brunch was right on trend and it was fun. The second look for Clive Davis annual soirée was perfect for the occasion and what many may not know she recycled that dress it is one of Idols looks from 2013 but while Idol she wore the dress in reverse because of the cleveage baring front was too much for the Idol audience talk about knowing how to make it happen Mariah surely did that with both looks and looked great while doing so.

For me, it's Outside. This is actually a depressing, more of a wallowing-in-your-sad-state kinda song rather than an outright inspirational one, but while there are so many buck-up songs out there (a handful by Mariah herself), there are only several songs about acceptance. As they say, the first step to conquering any difficulty is acknowledging that it exists and that it's happening to you in the first place, and that's exactly what Outside helps you with. It forces you to feel the painful reality of not fitting in anywhere so that you could realize that in the end, no matter how hard you try, you will still never fit in because that boring life isn't for you - because God put you on this earth to stand out - and that eventually puts you in a better position and mindset to accept just how special you are and learn to take comfort in the pain, uplift yourself and survive.

Bruno Mars (80,687)
by Tameka walker from United states

I love Bruno Mars, I just became a fan of his. If him and Mariah could collaborate that would be awesome. I been a fan of Mariah since I was a little girl. Mariah is my favorite female singer. Mariah Carey is musical genius. To me she is one of the best female singers and songwriter that has ever done music. Now in terms of Bruno Mars. I watched his TV special. He reminds me of Michael Jackson. The way he can dance and sing. Plus he helps write music. Plus he plays his instruments for some of his songs. I would love nothing more than for Mariah to team up with Bruno Mars. I totally was blown away when I heard 24k magic. His album is awesome. I will be rooting for him tomorow at the Grammys tomorrow night. If Mariah uses her head and work with Bruno Mars she too will be back on the charts and hopefully picking up where she left off. Making hit songs and topping the charts. Mariah can do this she just got to believe that she can. Plus the fans like us have to believe and support Mariah and to tell the truth, I am proud that Mariah is starting to change how she dresses. Good luck Mariah and her future endeavors. Love much.

Mariah is stil a classically trained vocalist with excellent control of her instrument. It's the instrument itself that has suffered wear and tear over the years and has become unpredictable especially if she's not well rested and prepared. Even when she's not and she misses notes it's still in tune and pleasant to the ears. She's still in full control of her lower register which is criminally underrated. If she decided to sing an entire album or song in her lower register ala Toni Braxton I'd love it but I'd miss the high belts, sustained notes, and whistles.

Can't nobody say Mariah don't love having a ton of background singers on stage with her. The woman even sings with choirs as her backing vocalists. I think she's a huge fan of Phil Spector's wall of sound. Plus she's not as nervous when she's not up there alone. I've also noticed that she tends to harmonize with her backing vocalists. Especially Trey. Has anyone else ever noticed that?

I just want them in a studio together. The man and his team are so talented and versatile just like Mariah. I imagine they'd create a soulful uptempo and an epic ballad or two.
